My computer showed my tire pressure was low. I called my dealer and told them I added air to the tires and wanted them to tell me how to recalibrate the computer. They told me to make an appointment. I explained that they could tell me over the phone . They took my phone number and said they would call me back. I then took a chance and drove to C & J tires. The gentleman and the desk came outside , got in my car and I n thirty seconds fixed the problem. He would not charge me. I tried to leave a tip and he wouldn't accept it. Jessica, the manager and a great addition when she came on board a couple years ago, is always welcoming and conscientious, and her team is equally as thorough and pleasant. A recent visit brought me there, simply because my low tire pressure sensor activated, so I conveniently pulled in and technician, Tim, gave four quick, complimentary shots of air and a friendly salutation - and I was on my way, but not before I remembered to come back soon with another one of my vehicle's, which needs new wiper blades. CJ's service exceeded my expectations. I bought a set of Michelins from them three years ago that wore out far faster than expected, about half the projected lifespan under warranty. CJ's called Michelin and handled the warranty claim for me...telling me that Michelin would give me $x if I went with Goodyear replacements. I asked the CSR to call back and ask how much Michelin would increase the offer by if I went with Michelin instead. He did, and came back promptly, getting me a significant discount above what Michelin had initially offered, and ending up with a lower overall price. If I'd tried to do this by myself, I would have most likely been run through hoops. CJ's handled this fully in a matter of minutes. Above that, they're easy to deal with, and you can't beat the proximity; I'm two minutes from them. read more

My husband and I came here for an oil change over the weekend. They had plenty of availability when we called and they were very professional. Drop off was pretty simple and quick. We brought our vehicles and went inside to leave the keys. They called us shortly after to let us know that our one car needed rear tires and a brake light was out and the other had a screw in the tire. We had them replace the light and would get tires at another time. They also were going to plug the tire, but we couldn't find the wheel key. They gave us a discount too. We will definitely return, they did not seem like a pepboys or jiffy lube, where the employees are training mechanics. Thanks! read more

If you are looking for tires, wheels, and rims go here., Rather than that I wouldn't recommend them. I tried them many times coz I had no other options ,only one vehicle for a while and they were the closest mechanic to my work. Bought tires from them...no problem. Changed timing belt, it was a big problem...giving me quotes then changing it coz one of the assistant managers didn't have enough knowledge about the job. I paid the higher price coz I wanted to get done or else I can't go anywhere. Later, The PCV valve started leaking, and when I went back to ask them to diagnose it, and I thought it's related to what they did on the car, they were rude to me and they even didn't take the time to diagnose it and started blaming it on the age of the car. Eventually they offered to fix for an additional $400. Later I diagnosed it myself and fixed it with a $4 part. Only tires out there. I saw how happy the technicians are having the yeppy people of the area coming to their shop and falling in their traps like the lady in the 1st comment, she is a perfect hunt. read more

Been coming here for a long time and never had anything but a good experience. Quick service on top brands, its michelin for me, but they have all the tires worth driving. Easy to deal with and good prices (way lower than dealer). Never had a problem and never had a comeback. Always good. read more

I brought my car in for 4 new tires. I dropped it off at 2:30 and was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half. Got a call at 3:10 that my car was almost done and got there at 5 to pick it up, only to see my car was still lifted up and only had 3 tires on it. I then found out that the tires I ordered were not delivered and the wrong tires were delivered AND PUT ON MY CAR. no one noticed until all four tires were on and no one thought to call us at any point during any of this. I'm happy someone eventually caught the mistake as they weren't rated for my car. After being told this we went out to wait in the parking lot since we very clearly couldn't pick my car up yet, only to see them working on one side of my car for an extremely long time. After questioning what was wrong, we found out the bolts were stripped and they couldn't get them out and when we expressed concern about this they only grew more frustrated with us. The man at the front desk, I didn't catch his name but he had braids if that helps, was extremely helpful and caring about our situation and I can't thank him enough! But everyone working on my car seemed bothered by us worrying about the situation that should have never happened in the first place, and seemed extremely annoyed by us questioning the safety of my tires. I had no choice but to leave with the same tires I came in with, 4 hours after dropping my car off, minus a bolt cover they lost and claimed was never there to begin with. This was a careless mistake on the warehouse end and the shop end and it should have never happened in the first place. Not sure I would recommend this place but the front desk man deserves better than to have to clean up the mistakes of the rest of the employees. read more

I took a chance and took my car to CJ's Tires in Kimberton. I had never had any work done by them before so I was a little skeptical of how they treat women. They looked over my car and then gave me several options that would solve my issues. Everything was explained in plain language that even a 5 year old could understand. In no way do I mean that they talked down to me, they just made sure that I was completely comfortable with everything and answered all my questions. The crew there was very friendly towards me and all the other customers that were there. They had fresh hot coffee and bottled water, the TV was on the History channel and WiFi was free. The manager Don,Asst manager Shawn and Salesman Shanon were very friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone that wants to be taken care of and treated fairly and honestly. read more

This message is two part; 1st want to bring to your attention and praise the stellar service I received from a young man named Mike (i do not have his last name, but do know he moves from store to store and i think his home location is Kimberton). I had contacted CJ's on the morning of 6/18/14 to get information and pricing on tires. I was looking for oversize tires and was not knowledgeable in how the sizing went. Not only did Mike spend the time to explain the different sizes of tires to me, but he also was very pleasant to deal with each and every time I called (at least 5 phone calls to get clarification before ordering) I told Mike that I would call back later that afternoon to finalize the order. As promised, I called back to finalize the order, but Mike had left for the day to go to another location (Conventry) The gentleman that answered the phone in the afternoon at the Kimberton location was very ignorant and had absolutely no patience. His name was "Eddie". When I called the Kimberton location in the afternoon I asked to speak with Mike. Eddie told me that he had left for the day, so I asked if he would be in the following day. Eddie replied "no". I asked when Mike would be returning, Eddie replied "he wont be, he's a floater and moves from store to store" I began to explain to Eddie that I had spoken to Mike earlier that morning and Mike had put together an order and I was calling to finalize it and was hoping to speak with Mike (only because I originally thought that sales were a commission basis and wanted to make sure Mike was the recipient) It is at that point Eddie began to speak to me very ignorantly, like I was deaf or mentally challenged. Eddie spoke veeeeerrrrryyyy (very) sllllloooowwwly (slowly) as if i waaaaasss dddduuuuummmbbbb (was dumb) and it was very disrespectful! At that point I told Eddie I did not appreciate his tone nor his connotation and he might want to think about adjusting his attitude towards potential customers. I asked who the manager was and that I wanted to speak to them, but Eddie said that the manager was not available and that he was the assistant manager. I do hope that this is not the case and if it is, corporate should make sure that Eddie attends a customer relations training class. I then proceeded to tell Eddie that I had originally called to make a $2100 order and that I will gladly take my business elsewhere and the commission from that sale would not go to his location. Eddie proceeded to tell me that he didn't care because he doesn't work off commission. Eddie may not work off commission, but i am sure each CJ's location has a quota to meet every month or quarter and if this is the type of person you have dealing with potential customers it is only going to hurt your bottom line. The only thing Eddie was helpful with was giving me the number to the Coventry location so I could speak with Mike and that is where I made my purchase from even though it would had been more convenient for me to deal with the Kimberton location. I highly doubt I am the first to mention Eddie's lack of social skills. Thank you for time and here's to hoping that there are some changes made to the Kimberton location. read more

I am the stereotypical clueless woman who doesn't know anything about cars other than how to put gas into them. I first came here because the oil change place I was going to didn't do state inspections, and this was where they recommended. After the inspection, I brought it in because it was "making a metallic noise". They had it for over an hour and test drove it to diagnose the noise, and then told me that it was something that could wait until the next time I brought the car in. They didn't charge me for this diagnoses. I now go here for all my car stuff. I've had 3 oil changes/tune-ups and I got new tires installed, and each time they are very courteous and price things out ahead of time so there are no surprises. When I was pricing tires, they recommended I waited a week until they were having their largest tire sale of the year. Today I brought it in for an oil change and they recommended battery work, which I declined with no pressure, but then I got an exact quote for the belts that needed replacement so I had them do the work. I don't feel like I am being taken advantage of. As an added bonus, the staff and technicians are easy on the eyes and they have a TV and plenty of fun magazines in the waiting area. read more

Extremely poor workmanship. My recommendation is to look elsewhere for a reliable mechanic. I took my car in to the Limerick, PA store for a simple oil change and check of the air filter. Unknown to me, the mechanic failed to reconnect wires to the wiring harness from the mass airflow sensor and the evaporation system purge control wiring harness was disconnected from the solenoid as well as the purge vapor hose was disconnected from the solenoid. The result of this poor workmanship is that my car stalled in traffic and I spun out into the opposing lane hitting the guard rail. Thankfully there was no one in the opposing lane at that moment or this story could have been far worse. CJ's and their insurance company failed to compensate me for my $500 deductible and my insurance company for the thousands of dollars of damaged caused ultimately by their irresponsible mechanic. The most the district manager would pay was the $200 for the damage done to the mechanics of my car by the failure to reconnect the wiring. Their belief is that they can not be held responsible for my car spinning out of control. Funny thing is that they could not offer any other reason as to why a car traveling in a line of traffic at 35 miles an hour on a clear day would suddenly spin out of control even after acknowledging the problem with the unconnected wires would cause a car to stall. The vehicles in front of and behind me had no problems! So if you value your safety while driving your car, my recommendation is to find someone else. My family and friends will no longer use CJ's because we value our safety and want a mechanic that can be trusted. read more
