Jeff ordered and installed one at no extra cost, but it turned out to be just a little too wide and would not operate properly. Budget blinds came back and installed the original blind, and is now going to install a light blocker on the window to take care of the early light problem. No extra cost. In spite of the problem I caused them, they have been pleasant and professional throughout the process. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking at getting motorized blinds.

When we walked in the door she should have said, hello I don't have anyone to help you but I could ask someone to call you. We looked a few sample books, but the young gal couldn't answer a question. As a business owner you should at least train your staff on the types of blinds and how to price them. IT isn't rocket science, to give a ball park figure on someone's measurements. I understand that the business would want to measure the window's themselves but at least someone could go to the price book, look at the on factor and price the blinds according to the customers sizes. We left and went somewhere else.

We have two windows in our front room and they are the same size and have the same, white, horizontal blinds. A few weeks later she called to say that they were in so I went to her store and picked them up. When I got home I opened the box to find that they were not the horizontal ones I had ordered but a set of vertical blinds. When I called her she said that since I had already picked them up (and pre-paid for them) that she would not accept me returning them. She said that there are "No returns on custom orders". I said that I didn't feel that it was my fault since she had come over and clearly saw what we had (two identical windows both with horizontal blinds). I wasn't asking for my money back I merely asked if I could return the incorrect blinds for the correct ones but she was adamant on not accepting them back. She said that I should give them to the Salvation Army and reorder the blinds again from her! This is not even the worst of it! When I told her the proper thing to do would be to let me trade them with her and for her to order me the correct (horizontal) blinds that I wanted in the first place. She actually said the following to me: "You can stick those blinds up your ass for all I care!" She then promptly hung up on me! I don't know what this lady's problem or mental ailment is but I would strongly recommend that you use anyone else but "Hues & Vues" I would suggest C&K Shutters as I have used them for other window-related products and I have never had a problem with them. The Somfy Roller Shades are really nice when you can get them to work. The previous owner did not have the remote control, so we had no way to raise or lower the roller shades. We found it to be very difficult to work with Somfy customer service over the phone to set up the Tahoma app, so we were planning on removing the shades all together. We attended a local St. George, Utah Home Show where I found the solution to our Somfy roller shades problem. We found the local BLOOMIN' BLINDS booth at the home show and we met Chase Jensen, owner. Chase came to our home and resolved the problem with the roller blinds. He got us a stand-alone remote control and installed the Tahoma app on both of our smart phones. Joaquin, the master installer and his son Joaquin Jr installed our blinds. Joaquin is a perfectionist, and works to make everything just right.
