Vacay Feb 2017 in Miami we toured on this delightful tour bus. 4 lines to choose from & you can do 2 and 2 or TRY to do all 4 on the same day. Tour guides point out all the interesting focal points and historical sights. If you sit at the top, watch out for all the low hanging trees & branches. The tour guides are great at pointing out all the mosques, synagogues, noteworthy schools and the like; and their extra added humor is a plus. The tour bus company is branded 'hop on hop off' and this is exactly the case. You're free to get on and off at the various stops; just make sure you're back on the final bus of the day. Had such an amazing time on our tour, first time is South Florida and I would highly recommended this company to anyone. Plenty of stops to get on and off from and they came by quiet frequently so you had enough time to walk around and enjoy yourself wherever you decide to get off. Our tour guide Amaury was amazing. Super funny and knowledgeable. Made some jokes and translated perfectly in English and Spanish. He even helped us out by telling us some amazing places to eat and drink at when we hopped off. I would recommend anyone with long hair to bring hair ties if you're going to sit on the top deck. And a hat/glasses because the Florida sun is not forgiving. We bought our tickets through Groupon and got a discounted price for two days. We did all loops. They take you everywhere. We visited Miami for the first time in May 2017 and had a day to spend before our flight back home after our Caribbean Cruise to the Bahamas. We figured we would do a CitySighteeing Hop On /Hop Off tour through Miami and I am so glad we did! This bus has several lines which run through all the popular areas of the city, including downtown Miami, Little Havana, Coral Gables, Miami Beach / South Beach, Wynwood (the art scene), and a lot of places in between. They have four lines (Blue/City Loop, Red/Miami Beach Loop, Purple/Brickell and Miami Seaquarium Loop, and Green/Wynwood Loop). The tour guides were both knowledgeable and entertaining. We also got to hop off to eat lunch and walk through Little Havana. Their stops are conveniently located and it's easy to navigate. The tour was very convenient for us - there were guides and a bus leaving just outside the exit from our cruise (strategic for them, I'm sure). One of the lines also dropped us right off at the airport at the end of the day when we caught our flight home. Very convenient and worth it to get a good glimpse at Miami. We have since used CitySightseeing in another city (SF) and had a wonderful experience there as well. I will continue choosing this company for hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tours. read more

If you have a limited amount of time at your disposal, then often the best way to see a city is by getting onto a tour bus which gives a sense of the highlights of the city. Since we found ourselves with a very limited amount of time in Miami, we decided to get tickets for this tour bus after recommendations from the concierge at our hotel, the Westin Coral Gables. Thankfully there was a stop about 100 feet away from the hotel entrance and so getting on the bus was an easy affair. Once on the bus, we noticed that although there were seats on the lower level, there was not a single person sitting at that level. That made sense as it would not have been possible to see outside through the windows as the outside of the bus was covered with ads for the tour company. Like everybody else, we went to the second level of the bus and took our seats. The very first stop we encountered was Little Havana. Our tour guide (Huliyo) said that we would be at the stop for only 10 minutes and on the basis of that, we wandered around in close proximity of the bus. However, 10 minutes turned to 15, then to 20 and finally to 25 before we left that first tour stop. The reason was not hard to discern - our tour guide was getting a lunch for himself at the restaurant next to where we had stopped and it was only after he and the driver were done with their food, that we moved out of the stop. That left a bad taste in my mouth because (a) the tour guide should not have been taking his lunch break during the tour itself and (b) more importantly, he said that we would be at that stop for only 10 minutes and we decided not to stray far away from the bus but then he ended up being there for 25 minutes. That was the very last day of our trip to Miami and we were not happy at our time being wasted in such a callous manner. Then as we made our way to Miami Beach from Miami, we found ourselves experiencing some rain. At least some of us may have wanted to move down to the lower level but because the windows were all covered with the ads, none of us did. To their credit, the guide had given all of us ponchos and half way during the trip I found myself using mine. It is also perhaps worth mentioning that when going from Miami to Miami Beach (and back), the bus takes the highway and although being on the second level of a bus while on the highway can be an exhilarating experience, the gusty winds can be a problem. Apart from the tardiness with respect to schedule and the fact that lower level seating was not possible, I also found the bus itself to be in a bad physical condition. You can take a look at the two pictures I am posting and judge the condition of the bus for yourself. The paint peeling off and the broken seats suggest neglect and indifference on the part of the owners. Something which I did not appreciate is that the only option the company offers is a 2-day option. As we bought this ticket on our last day of the trip, we could not avail of the 2-day flexibility and were left with the feeling that we had overpaid for the ticket. Furthermore, the trips stop around 6:00 p.m. or so and therefore after seeing the sunset at Miami Beach, we could not avail ourselves of this bus and instead had to take a cab to get back to Coral Gables which cost us ~ $40. All in all, I would say they were a very mediocre operator and I sincerely hope that they either shape up or go out of business. read more

I was very disappointed in this tour company. What a waste. If you don't want to read my whole review, let me sum it up for you in one sentence: A city bus pass would be more comfortable, helpful, and reliable than this company. Here's the details of my hop-on, rip-off experience. I have been to other places with this City Sightseeing company and they are generally good. The Miami version is NOT GOOD. The maps they give you are not clearly labeled and the buses were not matching up to the posted schedule. We saw at least three Big Bus Miami sightseeing tours passing us by for every one of their busses. The condition of the buses was super dirty. The seats were grimy with dirt and soot. Some of the seats weren't even bolted down to the ground anymore making them unsafe. One lady almost fell boarding the bus, because the driver was going when she was still walking and a seat she grabbed onto moved on her. We only had two tour guides. The first one was really helpful and friendly, but we were only on that bus until Miami Beach. The second one kept reminding everyone he worked for tips when people got off the bus. His driver was also really grouchy by screaming at you for your tickets when you got on the bus. The speakers on the bus stopped working five minutes into their route, which would have been really bad if the guide really acted in his capacity. His infrequent shouting of places where famous people lived hardly qualified as a guided tour. We opted for the airport transfer at the end of the day. The shuttle driver announced he would not be taking us to different terminals; rather just one drop-off. It would have been nice to have been told that when we bought the pass. He rode without air conditioning the whole way and it was hot. At points, he kept sliding his driver window open for himself. As far as price is concerned, we paid $59 per person. We later saw Groupon had it for $40 per person. I wouldn't have even been happy with that given the experience we had. Next time, I'd might go with Big Bus Miami. If I only had a day though, I'd just get a Lyft or Uber to Miami Beach and walk around there. That's the best part of Miami anyways in my opinion. read more

We jumped on a bus on our last day in Miami to kill time since our flight was delayed. The driver wasn't too friendly and complained a lot. Our tour guide Dave (I hope I got his name right) was great! He was hilarious and gave us great information about the city. He cracked jokes the whole time and warned us of the low hanging branches constantly which was great since I kept forgetting. We did it in a January mild rainy day, and it was informative, delightful, and entertaining. Last Tuesday, three friends and I tried to get from Miami Beach to Little Havana, with a tour of the city along the way. We arrived at our closest Miami Beach stop at 11:15am, waited for an hour for that bus, and then waited another hour for the city bus - it was 1:35pm before that bus picked us up for a tour around the city. They claim buses run every 45 minutes, but that was false. And they also claim that they run until 5:30 - but please keep in mind that this is the last drop-off. Your last actual time will like by 3:00-something if you need to connect from one route to another. The day we were there, they said one bus had a malfunction - but could not offer either later service (for all those tourists who were stranded) or a refund. They offered a free extra day, but our flight out was on Thursday... and we wouldn't have taken the day any way after what you're about to hear. In the end, we had to take a cab back at an extra $40 since the bus only parked in Little Havana for 30 minutes - NOT enough time to have a meal in a restaurant. But here's the kicker: This bus, unlike all the other tour buses in Miami, has a raised back seat - which we didn't notice until we had an accident. They warn you when you get on to watch for low-lying branches, and they also slow down when they go past major obstacles. However, one gnarly bundle of branches suddenly appeared as they quickly rounded a corner getting off the freeway, and - being a 6'-tall guy - there was no way I could avoid it. My husband, sitting next to me, helped pull me out of the way and cover my face with his hands but they were going too fast and it was too late. I got scratches on my face - one between my eyebrows that will likely scar - and he got scratches on his hand. The worst part: When we tried to ask for a refund, all of the attendants had disappeared from the bus and the driver was the only guy left, but he didn't speak English and didn't believe that he had caused the injury. 4 friends buying tickets? Plus $25 on good ointment to reduce scarring from my fight with the rogue branch? It would have been cheaper and safer to take a cab. We had originally planned on using our 2-day passes the next day to go shopping, but just stayed in Miami Beach after this terrible experience and having lost so many wasted hours. And don't even get me started on the audio tour for the city route. It's mostly just repetitive background music. I would have learned more with 15 minutes on the internet. Got back from a cruise and took the Miami sightseeing tour,not only did our guide, Armando, tell us about the sights of Miami but his knowledge about the world/ history was amazing. He greeted each person in their native language and when appropriate he would relate information back to people and their state or their countries, he's like a human computer. Our cruise ship booked this "tour" for us as part of an airport transfer combined with an excursion, "Discover from above South Beach and it´s famous Art-Deco District, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Little Havana, Downtown and more! Delight in panoramic city skyline views while traveling alongside an informative guide. See the trendy Art Deco District in South Beach, pass through ritzy Coral Gables, admire towering downtown high rises, glimpse bohemian Coconut Grove, and learn about historic Little Havana's Calle Ocho neighborhood before heading to the airport." No Little Havana or Calle Ocho, and we could not "see" anything. You can't breathe on the bus due to exhaust pouring inside. Windows don't open. We brought this up right away but the guide just said, "Oh, I'll have to tell my boss," then ignored our continued complaints (22 people all complaining for 2+ hours). He seemed like a nice guy but... It was raining so we all sat inside, but you cannot see out the windows of the bus due to heavily painted advertising and dirt. Seriously - I tried to look when he occasionally pointed out something, but I couldn't see it! And he didn't point out much. We drove through the beach areas into Miami Beach then we were dropped off at Sr Frogs to shop for an hour - news alert! That is not shopping! No shops close enough to access in an hour :-( We would have had to walk a few blocks, but weren't advised about how to get there, and didn't have time anyway. We saw nothing of Miami except a construction area between South Beach and the airport (guide pointed out new baseball stadium then rambled for 10 min about player salaries in the various sports as we passed through who knows where!). The filthy air conditioning units dripped dirty water on us continually, but the air didn't even work! The driver did NOT want to be there and never spoke a word, just rolled his eyes as we boarded and as he stored the luggage, then watched like a hawk when it came time to drop something in the tip box. Our suit cases were stored in the rear compartment and came out soaking wet! More a/c dripping? Open to the rain? Either way I was really upset. Hence the rambling review. I was in Miami for Fiesta Latina and had an extra day and a half to see the city. After an overnight plane ride and over 8 hours of dancing, I was in no shape to walk around a lot. A tour bus seemed like a perfect option. I read the reviews on here, and thankfully decided that none of the negatives applied to me. This bus tour was amazing, and I loved every minute of it. When I first boarded the bus, Daddy Yankee was playing on the speakers. I'd just seen him perform the night before, so I was excited to hear that. Reggaetron music also set the tone for many of the sights to come. On my first day, I did the Miami Beach loop and the City loop. These were the better of the four tours. The tour guide pointed out all the highlights of historic Miami Beach and Art Deco architecture. He also took time to point out luxury cars and iguanas. Although he had a script, he seemed to have a decent knowledge of the area and culture. The City loop showed all kinds of Miami neighborhoods. Again, the tour guide added interesting details in both English and Spanish. My most favorite part was the stop in Little Havana. Drinking mojitos (really really good mojitos) on the roof of the tour bus felt like a Miami experience. The food smelled delicious, and I wished I was hungry. The music and art in the area made an excellent impression on me. The second day, I did the other two tours. I wish I'd done the Wynwood loop the day before. Amazing murals and graffiti art, and I had no idea about it. I wanted to get out and see all of it, but I did see plenty from the bus top. I was able to take decent pictures and get a real feel for the cultural changes in the area. The Brickell loop was less exciting. It went through the business area, which was interesting, but less important to me. However, I can say I did the entire tour. Both days I had the same tour guide, Andy. He was perfect. Charismatic, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to be helpful and kind. My second favorite part was how wonderful it felt to ride on the bus. On the highway portions of the tour, the wind was fantastic and my hair flew everywhere. I loved it. However, you might want to ponytail it if your hair tangles easily. There were several stops I wish I'd had the time to explore. Over the two day, I feel like I got a good view of the city and its highlights. I'm planning to return for next year's Fiesta Latina, and I already have stops and sites planned out: Wynwood, Little Havana, Vizcaya Museum... The guide, who appeared to be 20 years old told us nothing except that we needed to be patient with them because traffic was really bad. The one star is largely due to the fact that it's a "hop on hop off" service, and we hoped off to get lunch and then had to wait over 2 hours at the bus stop to hop back on because no buses came (we later learned that 2 of the buses were waylaid with mechanical troubles). It was so late by the time another bus came, that they wouldn't take us back to where we started until we called the supervisor and started asking for our money back. The audio tour was comically bad, it sounded like a reading of a 6th grade geography report. It was actually kind of fun because it was so terrible, every time the recorded tour guide said something everyone on the bus cracked up. Later on it was a live guided tour, but the guide mostly pointed out rather banal features (like Carraba's and Macy's). We purchased a Groupon for the bus and boat tour. The bus tour was decent but the person giving the tour was not all that professional. She took several breaks from explaining and sat down for a lot of the ride. Be careful when riding at the top of the bus as several tree branches can hit you. We never got to do the boat tour as City Sightseeing as hired a 3rd party to do the boat portion and when we went to redeem our voucher for this were told that we did not have the correct voucher. We then had to walk back to the bus area (about a 15 minute walk) and had to call customer service to resolve the issue. We then walked back to the boat dock and were told that the boat was not going out today as there were not enough people. Not professional at all. They redeemed the voucher and now we have to go through Groupon to get a refund for the boat portion after I spoke with Guillermo, at City Sightseeing Miami, and explained that we never received the boat tour. My sister was visiting from Michigan and it was her first time to Miami. I thought buying this on Living Social was a great idea. WRONG. First we started with the city tour and the "tour guide" was a joke. He pointed out the courthouse, the Steinway piano store and the High end car dealership and not much more than that. When he did talk his information was incorrect for example: Tamiami trail runs from Miami to Naples. If that were true it should be named Napiami. He also said that the Tri Rail ran from Coconut Creek to Coconut Grove. That is true if your only counting half of the stops because it starts North of West Palm Beach and goes to Dadeland South. We couldn't wait to get off of this bus. The guide on the beach tour new what he was talking about and was a very nice man. However. . . . it doesn't make up for the fact that we were stranded at one stop and took public transport back to South Beach. Last year I took out of towners on the Big Red Bus and it was fantastic. Do not waste your money on this bus/tour service. read more

If you're interested in just doing a loop for a couple of hours and seeing Miami without any context or information whatsoever, do this tour. The tour "guides" barely spoke and when they did it was to point out things like a Barnes and Noble bookstore. Headphones didn't work. Forget about asking questions because they didn't have even the most basic answers. The buses were super late to arrive at the stops. The other companies ran buses much more frequently. It should be illegal to run tours if you don't actually know anything about the city. Would actually like to give literally zero. When we first purchased the tickets on 16th st Washington we got promised completely different things. First of all the tours do not start at 9 am. Do yourself a favor and don't wait while burning in the sun. We didn't receive any headphones on the first ride. Neither did they hand them. Out on the second one. We literally had to go and get them ourselves. My sister doesn't speak fluent English so it was hard for her to understand anything. You can't hear the speakers from downstairs at all and next to all that I could have just rented a car and drive around myself because that's literally what it was. No real information whatsoever. The downstairs area had no ac so you were lucky when you had a breeze from the front door. They were never on time. There is no bus every half hour regardless. Two times we waited over an hour and nobody showed up so we had to Uber back to my apartment. The information is ridiculous, the excuses even worse. We couldn't even get back to our actually pick up location after the second time and that's apparently because we should have known that the busses don't all drive back to the beach?! We should have went with double decker tours, we've seen them passing us every twenty minutes. Never doing this again and hopefully people will read and don't fall into the same trap we did. read more

The bus driver was very kind and tried to figure something out for us but the tour guide was very rude and said no. False advertising if the bus says south beach but you won't let people willing to pay on the bus. read more

not sure why this tour got such bad reviews, we loved our tour. it was great having the fresh air blowing in our hair, sunshine and a great host hoolio. he gave us a lot of historical information and we stopped for a mojito in little havana, part of miami. we stayed on the bus for the entire 3 hours, with the intention of only doing an hour. ducking from the tree branches added a zest of life character to the tour, i did not mind that part at all. they also let us bring our dog on the tour, he had an excellent time! our 3 year old sat very well, taking in all the sights. he especially loved all the boats at indian creek. read more

I hate to give them 2 stars, but I can't give them more than that. This tour was recommended to us by our hotel "concierge". I should have known better based on the appearance of the concierge but that will be for another review. I've done tours before, and usually they have buses ever 5-10 minutes, this company has buses every 30 minutes. Well they say it's 30 minutes, I waited over 45 minutes for one of the buses. While taking the tours, we had several different tour guides. Some guides were better than others, but that is to be expected. There is a main location where all three bus routes connect (Blue, Red and Purple Line). The only problem is that they do not stay at that stop to see if people want to switch buses. So, if I just took the red tour, and want to now take the purple tour, there's a chance that I will be waiting at the main stop for 55 minutes if I just missed the purple bus. All they have to do is wait for all three buses to be at the main stop. The seats were terrible, my butt hurt. I'm not going to fault them for that, because they are outdoor seats, and if they were cushioned they would smell (rain, people spilling drinks on them, etc..) read more

If you want to rely on a bus to see the city and commute around, go to Big Bus ( I never had a chance to try the big bus tour, but I would still recommend the competitor because this tour couldn't worse and Thank God there is an alternative.) Here are the reason. This bus tour has those so called "guide" that introduces Landmarks. However, the introduction is no more than one sentence, such as "this is the most famous church in Miami," "this is the most famous hotel," "this is ..." I only saw one person that really did his job by actually introducing real landmarks. Only one out of 10 rides!!! However, the most important reason that I do not recommend this company is that their Buses are NEVER ON TIME! The company claims that there will be a bus every thirty minutes. However, I only saw them every other hour! While I was waiting, I saw their competitor, Big Bus, three times. And same situation happened twice in two different days. I should have read the reviews before I purchased the groupon for this tour. The two main things I did not like about this tour was: 1. The inside/downstairs area of the bus was not air conditioned and therefore extremely hot and humid, and 2. The inside of the bus did not have speakers in the inside/downstairs area of the bus to project what the tour guide was saying upstairs. The headphones jacks in the wall just played music on the available stations. So if you didn't want to be upstairs in the Miami sun, you didn't really get any kind of tour However, the customer service person was great. I called him to ask where the closest pickup spot to me was and he pointed me in the right direction, and when the bus passed us at the stop and I called him to ask when the next bus was coming, he called the bus and had them turn around to pick us up. read more

If I could give "0" stars, I would. My wife and I wanted to learn more about the city we live in and found this company via groupon. Though my instincts told me this was probably not the best bus tour in Miami, I figured the money I was saving was worth giving them a shot. Turns out I just wasted every dime. This bus tour was an absolute joke. Our tour guide Sergio knew nothing about the Miami and it was apparent from the first 3 blocks of the tour. We stopped in the middle of the three courthouses of Miami, one of them being a historical building and the other an architectural masterpiece. He said nothing. We are making our way to Coconut Grove and we pass in front of Vizcaya. This time there was limited information. We continue and pass in front of Mercy Hospital and he again says nothing. We pass in front of a house that is famous for a crime being committed there: a woman shooting her husband. He says "shows men to never trust your wife". He butchered the history of Coconut Grove, the Mayfair and Cocowalk. He didn't even mention City Hall. I was already fuming by the time we got to Coral Gables. I was not surprised when the guide spoke more about the Collection (and its luxury cars) than the Biltmore. By now I knew I was getting off on the next stop and cabbing it back home. I just thought it was icing on the cake when the only thing he said about miracle mile was how "it is a miracle for a woman to walk down this street and not purchase something." Point is this. I have been in Miami a majority of my life and wanted to learn some new things that maybe I didn't know. Only thing I learned is that this bus tour company is one I (or anyone else for that matter) should and will not be riding again. read more

This review should really be 2.5 stars. I liked the host, he grew up in the area and shared a lot of great information. The trees did get in the way a lot so just be careful if you sit on the top. The reason for the low rating was because this really isn't a hop on, hop off tour. They never announced when the stops were coming, making if feel like a one-stop trip. I got off at one point to go shopping and waited where I thought I should have to be picked up, but since the street signs are barley noticeable, I realized my mistake too late and even though I ran ti try and catch the bus, it never even slowed down. Exhausted, I gave up and decided to take a cab home. This is a tour for people who are new to the city, please make it a real hop on, hop off and make it easier for us to find your stops. read more

For some reason the company was surprised by Cinqo de Mayo and Rolling Loud. As a result they cancelled and rescheduled tours throughout the day. They did not inform us of the schedule changes until the last minute, multiple times throughout the day and when we decided we should simply head to the airport early due to the impact of these changes they were unwilling to remove our carryon luggage from the later airport transport and move it to an earlier one or even just return it to us so we could seek other transportation. To add insult to injury, in an attempt to avoid a delay due to a car accident on the freeway the airport transport got lost and we arrived very late. We enjoyed the two loop tours (South Beach and Downtown) on separate days. The tour bus arrived on time and the guides always provided narration with fun info about the city. I would recommend! read more
