Been there twice during my 5-day stay in Paris. It was on top of my list above all the sightseeing. I was not disappointed. You will find there everything you wanted and even more. Prices are considerably lower than in other pharmacies. I even found an adviser who spoke some English. Try to decide what you want to find in advance as it's very hard to browse and make up your mind there - lots of people around and hard to concentrate. A good place to find gifts for your family as well - beauty sets of french skincare are far better than souvenirs. Honestly? City Pharma is way over hyped. I went to a regular parapharmacy earlier this AM on Saint Michel and it was glorious. Only a handful of customers, lots of attention from the cashier answering my questions (in English), helped with our tax free paperwork, gave me a cute tote and lots of samples with our purchase. Later went to City Pharma with admitted FOMO fear of missing out. It was so ridiculous to elbow past the crowds, my husband got lost in the crowd and they wouldn't let me go look for him after I paid and was ready to leave. It was SO overrated. After experiencing both today I can say with 100% certainty that any parapharmacy around Paris will be a better experience than the crowded City Pharma. Just beware that there are pharmacies and then there are parapharmacy with beauty products. You want the parapharmacy for your beauty fix. read more

On Cinco de Mayo 2017, I went to CP expecting a large crowd and long lines so these factors did not affect my wonderful experience. The staff was very very helpful and kind and they all spoke English even though I tried to speak my broken French. I went in with a screened shot list of items and a staff member went through the crowds and put them in my basket for me while I browsed through the Caudalie (I bought premier cru for eyes with a free cru gift for 43 euros but in the U.S. the eye cream is $99) aisle . This aisle also conveniently contains Nuxe , Sanoflore, and Decleor products which were on my list). There was a multitude of promotional items like buy 2 Caudalie grape water get 1 free(so 8 euros total for ALL 3 bottles which would cost $13 per bottle in US). Also many travels sized gift sets were a bargain. Everything is about 40-60% cheaper than in America(some items you can't get in the U.S. i.e. Nuxe just stopped exporting to America in April 2017). Also, I visited 8 other pharmacies in 4 different arrondissements to compare prices and while some prices are the same, I found City Pharma prices to be $1-5 Euros cheaper per item. I purchased 50 items, so even compared to say Monge Pharmacy, I still saved $75 euros. Another big bonus is that I also got all the tax back in cash at CDG airport so make sure you spend above 175 euros, bring your passport to the pharmacy and tell the cashier you would like the Global blue de tax form and DO NOT open any products (customs may check to see if everything is sealed). Go with an open mind and bring a comprehensive list. It will be a fun adventure! I know mine was;-) read more

Arrived early on a Tuesday and it was almost empty. It was amazing. I didn't notice much of price difference between here and the one at Place Monge. Check out my review there. This pharmacy was well worth the trip! I could not believe how many brands and how affordable the products were. I'm considering revisiting to stock up on some items The woman who advised me about a product was kind and very knowledgeable. Amazing value! All the beauty products and amazing skincare you could think of and bumper packs for things like embryolisse moisturiser, bioderma micellar water etc. got my la Roche posay cleanser for a quarter of the price I would pay back home. The service isn't the best and the store is quite hot and a bit stressful as it is so busy. I would advise doing your research, come with a list and a bottle of cold water and grab a basket on the way in. Well worth taking a trip out to! It's near the metro so easily accessed. read more

This place is the Wal-Mart of French Beauty Supplies/Creams/Lotions and other skin care. The French are known for their prized and world renowned creams and ointments to enhance skin elasticity, promote youthfulness, and really nurture/pamper yourself as the way you deserve to be. This place is the mecca for that... it helps if you speak French. It is two story. The first floor (which is considered second to an American) will also have the Pharmacist on site to fill drug precriptions. The place is very busy and you can get lost. There are folks on hand wearing lab coats to help you. The place can be a mad house so don't get to flustered by that. We found some great deals and promotions on L'Occitaine products so we stocked up on a lot to take back with us to the US. I would do some research on products in advance before coming here otherwise you could spend hours reading through all the selections they have if you don't know what you want or what has the best reviews/reputation. read more

Hello, I would like to throw some light on this pharmacy or rather somebody who is connected to this pharmacy. Somebody by the name of Dr. Margarety got in touch with me stating that they could deliver prescription product to my door step without any issue within 48 hours. This person infact was boastful enough to send me an email with huge list of controlled products that he can get it shipped. When we requested for authenticity he provided us with the below mentioned details, for payment for "WESTERN UNION": First Names........JOHN JOEL Last Names .........MUTE Address................26 Rue du Four, Paris, France . Postal Code..........75006 Which led to city-pharma, since city-pharma very much sounded like a large and trustworthy pharmacy store we proceeded with the payment but as soon as the payment was made and collected from his end, this guy started asking for more. To quote his email: " Dear Mr Mikael, Right now your packaging could not be completed because the minimum order was to small. The minimum order which i thought could be accepted was rejected. you need to complete order to make 500pills,so packaging could be completed and tracking informations issued. waiting to hear from you asap" When we accepted him for a refund he outright refused on it and went about asking for more money if we want it shipped. He also provided us with the below mentioned details: "Dr Margarety Tulips City-Pharma 26 Rue du Four, Paris, France 75006 ================ New York,Longisland Tel :516-336-3159 Tulip Pharmacy Usa,China & Unied Arab Emirates" We request anybody from City-pharma to help us to receive a refund or our product, as well as I would personally want to pin-point the thief in your organisation. I had one day in Paris, packed full with touristy tours so I demanded at least 45 minutes of me time at THE city pharma that I've always read about. I read all the yelp reviews and did all the research of what I wanted and it will serve you greatly. I was lucky where this place was packed, but not as busy as I imagined it to be, however it was still back to back cramped and hard to walk around having a plan of what you wanted and can do without will help you out in the end. I went in with a warrior's spirit and left satisfied within 40 minutes. There were indeed many sales persons around with limited knowledge of english so having photos or a list is extremely helpful to not waste their time (and also to stay on their good and helpful/nicer side). There were items I couldn't find but it wasn't a biggie, so I looked for the stuff i knew I needed to leave with. The prices were generally pretty good, but look for the specials. They had Anthelios light fluide sunscreen for the face for only 8 euros! That was on sale (extra 2 euros off), and a great bargain. Some other prices weren't as great, for example the Anthelios KA moisturizer was 20 euros. So my tip is to look for the bargains and stock up on them, but know that not everything is a great deal, so leave certain items on the shelf where they belong. read more

Went there at the end of August, around 7 pm on a Monday and it wasn't that crowded. Lots of choices, great prices and found anyone I spoke with quite helpful. I compared prices to some other pharmacies I stopped in and they were sooooo much better. Like everyone has said, go there with a list and pictures or you'll be blown away by all the choices. Difficult to find! I made myself to City-Pharma from Right Bank to St. Germain. Though I had my GPS & I'm very good with directions, it was not easy to find. Save yourself time & take a cab. The fare was minimal. The place is a zoo. The isles are tight & there are tons of women with their lists in hand. The clerks help to the extent they feel like. They're neither friendly nor rude. If the place wasn't so cramped, I'd love the browsing experience. I spent nearly $600. Some products recommended online weren't that great. Try to take photos of items you want to buy before you go. If you're claustrophobic, go to other pharmacies in Marais. Price-5 stars, Place - 2 stars, Service - 2 stars, Inventory - 5 stars. read more

This is a great place to purchase all the skincare. They have very good English speaking employees who are knowledgeable of all the products. They can answer to any questions you may have, as well as good recommendation on skincare. The only reason for a missing star was the tight aisles, which makes it very difficult to walk around. Shopping here is like going to Century 21 at Christmastime... but worth every bit of congestion and claustrophobia. Best tip is to know what you want before you get there -- and then just go in, find it, don't second guess, get on line and get out. Buy in bulk and bring an extra suitcase. This store fulfills all your fantasies about French pharmacy skin cares. I just came back from a visit to Paris, and I didn't know about this store beforehand, but lives within walking distance. Actually found this store on google (precisely recommended by lisa eldridge), and paid a few visits to the store throughout my stay in Paris. You can literally find every possible french pharmacy skin care brand here, the first floor is packed full of skin cares from the bottom to the very top of the shelves. Aisles between shelves are VERY narrow, allowing only one person to pass through, and it's usually a full house regardless of the time. As soon as you walk into the store you're like a little mouse falling into a bucket of cream you don't want to walk outta there. Dream place for shopping skin care, don't miss out. read more

This place is the BEST. I did my homework, studied the blogs and You Tube and took 15 pictures of various suggested items on my Iphone. It was very crowded as I knew it would be....so glad my sweet husband waited outside with my backpack as a security guy at the door looked like he was not letting backpacks in. I was not expecting much help....was just going to show the French pharmacists my pictures....but they really helped me. The first gal seemed thrilled that I had taken pictures. She would point the direction of what I wanted and answered in English any questions. A few minutes later 2 American gals walked up to me, saw me showing pictures, and followed me around the store as we compared notes. The second pharmacist....helping them..... actually took an item out of one of the American girl's baskets an told her she should buy something better and showed her what it was1 It was a great experience.....got it all home....and cannot wait to start playing with it all! read more

Unorganised, inefficient and horrible service, it's like going through a pharmacy factory. Had to wait 20 minutes to be checked and the cherry on the cake : the old lady at the checkout counter was either too overworked or just poorly trained as there was no greeting, no eye contact, no thank you, nothing. It was like being at Mcdonalds. Anway, luckily City Pharam is far from being the only low-cost pharamcy in town ! read more
