Although not as big as CityPharma, a plus to Pharmacies Monge is that you won't find all the busy crowds, which is a positive! I travel to Paris to stock up on all my skincare and pharmacy items, and this past trip was my first time at Monge. They did carry some items that CityPharma did not carry that I stocked up on, but I did notice that some of the prices were a bit higher. Oh my goodness, this place is insane! Heard about this place from fellow Yelpers and made sure to have it as a stop during my visit in Paris. When I got there... there was a tourist bus parked outside and super packed inside! It was a tourist stop and filled with a lot of Asians with huge carts filled completely with products! I have to say, I stopped by several Pharmacies in my area before hitting this one up, and this place was so overwhelming! There was so many products from so many different brands, I didn't know what half the things I was looking at was! They have these little sheets posted with French, Korean and Chinese about the products and what they do. Unfortunately, nothing in English. There are a lot of pharmacists all over the place and some of them are very helpful, while others would rather spend their time talking to each other. There are several that speak a lot of different languages, I think I heard Korean and Japanese, and most of them speak a little bit of English. They have rotating deals so make sure you check out a couple of other pharmacies so you know if you're getting a good deal. This pharmacy had the most good deals, so if you only have time to go to one Pharmacy, I would suggest this one. Probably a good idea to go right when they open, because midday, with the tour buses parked outside, there is really no room to stroll around the place. I was always bumping into people and you can't stand in one place without people trying to squeeze by. Got some bioderma 2 pack 500 ml each for a little over 15 euros, they have some great gift sets too from bioderma, nuxe and caudalie. I got a pretty decent gift set with la roche posay sunscreen 50 spf 50 ml and it came with an aerosol thermal spring water spray 50 g for 8 euros. Lot of other great things here, the selection is pretty spectacular. TL;DR: if you only have time to visit one pharmacy, this is the one to visit. Make sure you go early and avoid all the tourists/tourist buses. There's a metro stop leading right to the front of the store, so easy transit if you buy a lot. Great deals! You could easily end up being here for hours if you don't go in knowing exactly what you need! read more

My latest obsession? French pharmacies. After compiling my list, I took a hot tip from a Paris It-girl and made my way to Pharmacie Monge. I was overwhelmed by the accommodating nature of the employees: three of them helped me hunt down products I was unable to pronounce, root out replacements for items they didn't stock all the while generally adding to the jovial atmosphere of this good sized pharmacy in the 5th. A few of my favourites: Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk Nuxe Huile Prodigeuse Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè I'm not yet an expert in what these items cost, but a quick survey suggests that Pharmacie Monge is competitively priced if not quite a bit cheaper. read more

Best prices in Paris and super helpful staff. The store is very well organized. It's pretty easy to walk through. Remember, downstairs is where to check out for the VAT refund paperwork. Will definitely recommend and come back. read more

Tips** -Curate a list of items to purchase before you go. This place is packed solid with consumers and there aren't any personnel available to walk around and assist you. -Plan on being there for awhile. This is a large store and the layout has a lot of rooms, hallways, twists and turns. It's also wall to wall customers so it will take a lot of time to get around. -If you're international and want a tax refund you need to checkout at the register in the luxury section/ lower level. I wasted a good 45 min waiting in line at the register near the entrance only to have to turn around and wait at the other. -Be patient. When I went there were two groups of international tourists with guides standing in front of different sections translating all of the products. An inconvenience, but if you're in the right mindset and aware before it's easy enough to maneuver around them. -Try going on Sunday. This is one of the few pharmacies that is open on Sunday in the city and it's a better than a Thur, Fri, or Sat. All that being said, this Pharmacie is AMAZING. HUGE selection, lots of flash sales, and the staff at checkout are very kind and speak enough English to successfully check you out. read more

Came here a little before closing. The line was a bit slow but the let us stay over the closing time while we were in lines. Had a large selection. I found the prices the same as City Pharma but City Pharma has probably everything on your list. For example, Pharmacie Monge had all the Klorane hair products but they didn't have the cornflower eye patches like City Pharma did. Adding pics with some prices for references. Recently I went to this pharmacy where I have shopped for years yo return a skincare product that caused an allergic reaction. I explained the situation and expected that I would have my money refunded and to purchase another product that I have used successfully in the past. The cashier was rude and treated me like a thief. She told me that if I had an allergic reaction that I should go to a doctor. I left the store and did not purchase the other products that I was going to buy. I will not shop here again. read more

Good place along with Citi Pharmacy. Not the most pleasant of help though. My pharmacy person acted like I was bothering her. She spoke English so it was not a language problem. All other Parisian pharmacies I've gone into the people were very nice and helpful. Outside they were doing a survey on the store. I can see why. Great prices though on everything. This is pretty much my mecca. I recommend you do a lot of research online before going here in order to know which products to buy. Also go early when you have lots of energy to deal with the crowds and the overwhelming selection. And don't forget to get your VAT back at the end. Bring your passport for that! read more

LITERALLY THE WORST PHARMACY IVE BEEN TO! there is no efficient system of getting medicine, and you can end up waiting in line for an hour. The workers there are also incredibly rude. If there is another pharmacy around go to that one! read more

Get ready to be overwhelmed. Seemingly hundreds of tourists are bused in with limited time to grab their picks. Good luck looking for anything without having to move out of someone's way repeatedly. The lines to pay are frustratingly long and slow. The few price comparisons I did showed there wasn't a lot of price difference compared to City Pharma. read more

Not quite as good as citi pharma in the 6th, but worth dropping into as well! Very near the place monge metro stop and on a very charming street of little shops. It's very busy and stressful inside so I would advise going with your research done and a list of products you're looking for. Very good value and cheaper than the smaller little pharmacies you see all over Paris. Always packed and full of tourists! Staff were very nice and helpful - more so than in citi pharma but I did get slightly better deals in citi pharma. read more

A friend recommended that I come here to get good deals on beauty products. I was expecting it to be a lot bigger. And there were many many more people than I was expecting (I knew it would be crowded but it was REALLY crowded, as in wall to wall, can't get by people crowded). But obviously, I was willing to deal with that to get some great beauty brands for great prices. A lot of the brands I didn't even know so I picked up a bunch of stuff that looked interesting. I live in the US and the Phyto (hair) products are very expensive but here they were a fraction of the price. I also got vitamins, face oil, masks, sunscreen, and a bunch of random stuff.
