For someone like me who barely goes to the gym, it can be intimidating going to a supplement store and be overwhelmed by the mass amount of unfamiliar products. Luckily they have helpful staff there like Harriet who helped recommend some products and helped me understand fitness more. She recommended a vegan whey protein that I am excited to try! I saw they have some summer deals right now, 5 quest bars for $5.99! They have a smoothie bar that is similar to emerald city smoothie. I opted to try the pb & j and it was really good! FYI if you bring in your blender bottle when you go in the store you can get .50 cents off a smoothie. I love City Supplements for their smoothies! I have never bought any supplements from here, so this review is solely for their smoothie bar. They use only real organic fruit which is SO much better than Emerald City Smoothies down the road which is full of sugar. I've tried the aloha, peanut butter cup, and re:charge. Such a wonderful small business right down the road from my house. I used to think this place was only workout supplements, which if that's what you want, they have plenty! But it's so much more than that... They have many other different supplements, herbs, and even homeopathic remedies. They also have a smoothie bar which I need to try sometime. Their prices and fair and usually either the same or less than Amazon. I'm so glad to be able to support a business like this and would gladly give then my $ and not have to wait for shipping anyway. Great supply. Clean look. Tons of options. These guys seem to have everything and all the prices are low compared to most places I've seen. Came in for some smoothie mixes. The employee was extremely knowledgeable and gave me a bunch of suggestions. Told him what I wanted to achieve with my health, and he was able to explain different supplements to me and we ended up being able to find a solid combination of smoothies that should get me feeling nice and cleansed at night and get all my vitamins I need. I normally come here and grab a smoothie and some vitamins. Came in today and walked in to see customers without masks and the employee with his mask off. I understand people have their reservations about Covid effecting generally healthy people. But as a store in the health industry I would hope you could just follow protocol. I'm going to give this place a low as possible rating. I stopped in here for supplements while getting my car fixed at Firestone. The attendant seemed really high strung and followed me while I looked for what I was there for finally asking me what I was looking for after I looked for 10 seconds. I browsed a bit more and he got agitated again when I started reading labels, asking me if the supplement in my had "would do it" as two other customers watched. It was pretty humiliating. Nate and Nick (I think those were their names) are total rock stars. I go in for the first time and started walking around trying to find the weight loss section. Nate comes up and asks if I need any help. I let him know what I'm looking for and he shows me the area. I start looking at the zillions of options and he (from a bit of a distance, he was NOT hovering) asked what my goals were. I shared with him my story about getting back into fitness, weight lifting, cardio and that I wanted to lose my body fat without losing my muscle mass. I'm almost 60, in fairly decent shape but have some back issues so I'm starting back up slowly. He shared with me the benefits of 2 products that didn't have the jittery feelings that I got when I took caffeine based weight loss products. I told him thank you and went to the check out. I got into a conversation with a couple of other customers and Nick. It was like they were family. Very cool. I ordered a smoothie and Nate came over and made it for me. I stopped in here yesterday evening when I realized I didn't have any pre-workout drink and was headed to the gym. I didn't get the name of the gentleman that helped me, I wish I would've, because his customer service was awesome! He greeted me right away and helped me with a scoop of pre-workout. He made sure to ask me how much caffeine I prefer, what type of workout I'd be doing, and what flavors I like/dislike. I felt it was really above and beyond even though I was only spending $2.00. The powder he recommended ended up being awesome, I plan to go back and buy a whole container now. I hope the manager reads this, heck maybe he was the manager lol, but he really deserves kudos for his level of customer service. I have been a regular consumer of supplements for many years now. Like a lot of the general public, I relied on the "normal" big box stores to supply me with what I needed. When I first walked into City Supplements, I had quite a different experience than ever before. The staff at CS KNOW their stuff. They have a deep understanding of what they're selling. Their first question was: What are you trying to accomplish? I felt zero pressure to buy anything or certainly a particular product that they were "pushing" (which frankly, happens a lot in the big box stores). In fact, there was more than one occasion where Jordan told me I didn't need a certain supplement or he encouraged me to try what I am currently using and check back later. When you walk into their store, you are buying knowledge. I am so happy with the service I received there and from now on, wouldn't dream of buying anywhere else, regardless of the cost.
