I visited this store on Tuesday, February 27th at around 12:30pm to purchase replacement vaporizers for my vaping pen.
The "OPEN" sign was displayed in the door and the door was unlocked. So, I walked in like any customer would.
When I walked in, there was nobody behind the counter. I assumed the counter person was in the back room and waited for them to come out.
Suddenly, a woman rushed through the back room door yelling for me to "Get Out!" followed by "How did you get in here?" followed again by "Get Out!".
I calmly told the lady the OPEN sign was in the door and the door was unlocked. So I walked in like any customer would.
She continued repeatedly yelling "Get Out!", while waving her arms like a crazy person. So I left and she locked the door behind me, leaving the OPEN sign displayed in the door.
Having lived in Kearny all my life, I have to say this is the most bizarre and disturbing experience I've ever had with any local establishment.
If you're operating a business and behave in a hostile manner to every customer that walks in, then I agree with the earlier reviewer.....Why even have a business?
I strongly recommend that everyone stay away from the City Smoke Shop as they certainly know nothing about basic manners or customer service. read more
