That means on weekends and during school breaks. (Check their website for their break schedule. For example, Winter Break 2021 ran from December 18th through January 2nd.) A few neighbors report it's open during the week in the evening. 2) Space: It's one large, tiered open area completely fenced in. There's a large turf area perfect for running around or soccer. There are different levels with plenty of areas to sit for parents. 3) Equipment: The most popular items are the zip line, a two-level fast slide and a rope tunnel course. They also have swings, lots of climbing equipment, a wooden bear, gargoyles art, a bear cave, two sand pits and so much more. My four-year-old daughter spends hours here without ever getting bored. 4) Parking: There's a small parking lot at the school. If it's full, easy street parking nearby can be found. One thing I didn't see while there are bathrooms. If you really need to go, walk north along nearby Wisconsin Avenue to local restaurants.

Everyday I check the app to see what they do, and no joke - it seems like they had professional photographers take photos of my kids. Everyday the kids do a new and interesting activity that blows my mind. Even better they potty trained my son, helped him give up his pacifier, and turned him into an articulate curious child. The icing on the cake are the strict covid protocols. This place is cleaner than than a hospital, and all the parents take the protocols very seriously as well.

The other parents I talked to felt the same gratitude and appreciation I did for the teachers and staff at CommuniKids. We swap stories of different ways this staff at this school went above and beyond for our kids. I always felt my child was safe, loved, and learning from highly capable educators. Not only do parents and children benefit from a clean, new facility, the teachers and staff manage to blend the line between professional and loving in the best possible way. My son was always so happy to go to nursery every day and get cuddles from teachers who genuinely cared about him. The perks of having things like diapers and wipes included in tuition made it so easy for me as a parent. You can tell that Kelsey and JD who run the facility are approaching childcare with new, modern eyes. They are looking for solutions for the parents of tomorrow. The co-working space associated with the center is a mini digital oasis. Delicious, local coffee on tap, chic, comfy spaces to perch and other working parents doing it all. I didn't hold a membership but instead chose to do drop-ins when I needed. An added benefit is that they allow you to host small meetings there - something I took advantage of a few times to great success. Their lactation room is so clean and convenient if I wanted to pop down to pump or pull my son out of class to breastfeed him. I cannot recommend Two Birds enough. After two kids, it's the highest quality care I've ever experienced. The community they're building of working parents is trend-setting and I expect we'll see a lot more like this in the future.

We love the amazing teachers and staff and the incredible dedication they have towards the children. They are highly qualified and more importantly incredibly loving. We visited many preschools and knew when we set foot on the St. Columba's playground that we had found the right place for our son. It is even more amazing now that it has been renovated! We love the ethos of making time for outdoor play every day rain or shine and of fostering creative outdoor play. One of the things we have benefited the most from as a family has been the incredibly warm and welcoming community of families at the school. We have grown friendships not only for our son but also for ourselves. Parenthood is a journey and having a community of friendship to travel with through it is a major blessing. Finally -- if I had to choose one word that describes our son's experience at St. Columba's it would be joy. There is truly no other place like it in the area that we have found.

A number of the teachers have been at St. Ann's for a long time, and they are complemented by newer teachers who bringing new energy and enthusiasm to the school. The teachers and principal care for the students. For example, the principal will run to Subway to pick up a sandwich for a student who forgot his or her lunch. There is a strong sense of community and a high level of parental involvement. I encourage you to look into the school and talk to parents with current, first-hand knowledge of the school.
