I do not like to leave bad reviews, but my experience here was uniquely appalling.
There was no-one there when I turned up for my appointment - the assistant eventually turned up an hour later and said the manager had had to go to a meeting. She said they had made an alternative arrangement, so took me to another flotation centre, getting lost on the way. When we got there, there turned out to be no such agreement, and they were shocked at having been asked to compensate for CRC's mistake. By this time I had wasted half a day, but they rebooked the appointment, and said I could have another one or two for free if I brought a friend and a gift for Xmas to say thankyou for the free session(s). An odd request, but anyway - I was promised that there would be no errors on my second visit.
However despite this, I turned up for the rescheduled appointment a couple of months later and the centre was closed - there were works going on, and they had forgotten to cancel. This represented a further loss of a whole day, and to apologise the manager offered his book about floating, which he seemed to think was adequate consolation. He did not seem to appreciate the irony of giving a book about the benefits of a treatment I was no closer to having, but he insisted that I take it, and I eventually accepted as a gesture of goodwill from him.
The appointments were rescheduled yet again, but when the time came they informed me that the works were still ongoing and that the first session wasn't possible but the others should be fine. Then when those came and I checked whether they would take place, I was simply told to watch the website. Obviously after two wasted trips I didn't feel reassured, so phoned to try and get some idea of what was going on - given that it was now over 6 months since I'd paid for the initial appointment. The manager was rude, blaming the payment intermediary ('Time Out'), saying he didn't know when the work would be finished, and repeatedly making out that I had been adequately compensated for my wasted days with his book which I hadn't even wanted. Furthermore, he insisted that their communication had been 'excellent' - despite not telling me on two occasions that my appointment had been cancelled! After saying the call was wasting his time as he had lots of clients to see - seemingly not bothered by the 1 1/2 of days of mine he had already wasted - he then sent a message saying he was arranging a refund (which I hadn't requested) for the first session. When I tried to call again to ask what was going on, the manager started shouting at me and accusing me of harassment when I simply asked what was happening with the remaining sessions. I did not enter into an argument but he then made bizarre personal comments
about me, and refused to provide any details of a regulating body that I could complain to.
How ironic that such an unprofessional and stress-inducing business calls itself a relaxation centre! read more
