Why would I spend the kind of money that you're asking for the paper when it is so thin and useless? When I was a kid they used to have a thing to read once a week it was called The Weekly Reader it had more information than the Lansing State Journal does it in about a week. I see there's almost no advertising section any longer. NO classifieds to speak of. Sorry to say it but this paper is useless. At one time it was a newspaper and not just a joke.

News is old. You never hear about a community event until after it is over. In many ways it reminds me of my old high school paper. It is full of AP and other non-original stories that you can pick up through Google and other internet new services for free. Their biggest mistake was last year, when they decided to bite the hand that feeds them by publishing a web site listing the names, salaries and other personal information about every state employee. Apparently they thought that it was our fault that the state had a budget deficit rather than the fault of our elected officials who set the budget! I haven't purchased a copy of this paper since then. What a good idea to infuriate a huge percentage of your potential customers! There are far better ways to get the news and since the paper has clearly indicated its disdain for me and all state employees, I see no reason to support them financially.

The State News is MSU's student run newspaper and is the largest of its kind in the US. It's…read morehighly regarded around these parts, as people pick it up to read as a serious source of news (it helps that it's free). The State News covers not only university activities, but it also covers community and state-wide news, as well as major stories that affect the country. On Monday they're interviewing me for a story on female DJs - not really relevant to U news, but I think it's cool that they try to remain hip as well as seriously cover the news. The advertising prices suck, so I have to take a star away for that, but overall it's a solid newspaper, sometime much better than your standard Gannett publication.

They were friendly and the turnaround was extremely fast. With great excitement, we picked up the work and took it home, preparing to hang it. Before we were able to get it on the wall, we discovered an error in one of the three pieces. This error was ours...entirely our mistake. But when we contacted Capital Imaging about reprinting that piece with the error fixed, they gave us a great break on the reprint, even though the reprint was to fix our error. Amazing! The piece looks great on our nursery wall. I absolutely recommend Capital Imaging for all your printing needs, great or small. It's fun being able to support a local business, their work is excellent, and they know how to do business well.
