I miss The Impact…read more This college radio station is the coolest. It gets its hands on new music months before you've even heard of the band. It consistently wins College Station of the Year. I started listening to it in high school and am sure to tune in when I am in or around EL. I even won a contest to guest dj back in the day. I still have the tape of my on-air debut! The college djs are quite entertaining. They are unsure of themselves, meek, but usually pretty into music. When I moved to Chicago I would still listen to it online.....and I think I will start that back up.

Like all stations, sometimes they play good music, but usually not. The DJs can be quite bad at…read moretimes, with their odd voice modulation syndrome that comes from trying out being on air for the first time. Once, I heard the same song, a bad cover of an Alice in Chains song, literally every time I got in my car that day. Like 4 times, twice in the same hour once. At least there's not commercials every 5 minutes.
