I am giving JP Bachand a 5 start review because he solved a long standing problem of a leak in my…read morebasement. My leak has been happening for 7 years with countless people coming out to help (mostly patchwork/sealing) and then even a contractor who came out twice to look (and talk a lot) and was going to do so me dirt fill in thing but... NEVER came back. JP not only came out immediately to look at the job, but he started the work within a few days of that initial inspection. The job took one full day and, what timing-- it rained 3 inches two days later. I would have had to be down there all day with the leak with a wet vac/shop vac in order to avoid water damage. Instead, I went down to check every hour (as it was a practice I was used to whenever it rained) and NO WATER!! The quality of work was amazing --he was a perfectionist about the cementing (the floor he dug up) at the end of the job. Thank JP Adele

Chimney Champs came out and cleaned my fireplace. No complaints there as they were neat and…read morefriendly. However they told me I would need a new liner system/chimney cap for 2900 because my thimble was going bad. They even said the liner was great. Actually they first told me verbally 1800 and then handed me a written estimate for 2900. I asked them why the difference and they said I had a unique chimney. Not buying it. I called another company for a second evaluation and they said they could just replace the thimble and install chimney cap for 550. They couldn't understand why a company would advise a new liner system when the liner was in great shape. (House is under 12 years old). Therefore I recommend you stay away from Chimney Champs except maybe for a cheap Chimney cleaning. Not a honest company from my opinion. By the way I never write reviews so that tells you something.

I should have read these reviews before hiring Chuck. Where I live he had great reviews (maybe…read morefake?). He replaced liners in two chimneys and told me that I needed to repoint them both. All told it was just under $10k that I paid him. Well first rainstorm came and the chimney is leaking inside destroying the drywall. I called, emailed, texted, over and over and over to no avail. Finally got through to him (maybe he answered by accident) and he said he would be out to fit it at a date that was a month out. That date is today and obviously he never showed up and is not answering my phone calls. As a business owner myself, I don't know how he is still in business. If I treated my customers like this, nobody would hire me!

We decided to get our old asphalt driveway and sidewalk (concrete) walkway removed and replaced…read more After talking and getting a quote from one other company, we decided to go with JD Construction as they were doing another job right down the street. We walked down to ask them to come by and they did right away. The brother that own the company are extremely nice, knowledgable and professional. We told them what we were looking for, then made recommendations and drew up a contract. They would begin within 3 weeks. A week later they were back and within a day our entire driveway and walk were removed and everything was tamped down and prepped. After sitting for awhile we decided on pavers for the walk (they bring you samples to choose from) and a design. The walkway went in on two days and it was VERY nicely done. It looks perfect. They also concrete the sides to that everything is right and not as likely to shift. A few days later they came back and the driveway went in in a couple hours. The guys were great. The workers were courteous and cleaned up really well at the end of each day. We were happy with the speed at which the project was completed, the fact that we're were involved from beginning to end (they keep you totally in the loop and let you know why thy are doing certain things or using certain materials), and the price seemed pretty fair, especially for the area. I would highly recommend them for any similar projects.

I was hired by Weir Construction to clean a salon, and the experience was extremely frustrating…read more They rescheduled on me twice after I had already arranged childcare for my two kids, only to tell me they weren't ready when I arrived. On the third attempt, I completed the job in a building with no heat or AC--temperatures were extremely high, making the work conditions very difficult. I spent two full days cleaning and made sure to go over the floors multiple times. We had agreed on around $500 for the work, including cancellations, but I was never paid. After completing the job, communication stopped completely. I also drove about 45 minutes each way multiple times, covering gas expenses out of pocket. Overall, I would rate 0 stars, definitely recommend not working with this company due to lack of communication, poor planning, and failure to pay for completed services.
