The city market is located right downtown in Saint John. It actually really made me think a lot of Pike Place in Seattle. Vendors are setup in a large venue selling produce, hot food, jewelry, housewares and more. Pete's frootique is one of the vendors and they have lots of different grocery items, some vegan friendly. Overall I just think it's a really interesting attraction and worth going just to see it.

Even on a weekday, this place was busy. Produce looked awesome. Not inexpensive, but considering the area, a good value. Tremendous diversity of products from specialized chips to fresh meats, appealing baked goods, local candy favorites, honey, crafts, and nice quality souvenirs. It reminded me of a bigger indoor farmers market in a Buffalo, NY when I was much younger. This was like a great rip back in time. Ow wonderful to see a thriving, almost festive venue.

Every time we walked out of the Brunswick Square Mall, we always ended up exploring in here. That was because we exited the mall via another indoor pedestrian bridge, and it took us right here. The market itself could be entered from outside (nothing to say about the exterior), which was next to a seafood restaurant and across from King's Square Park. At the time we went, there were numerous butterfly decorations that dangled from the interior ceiling. Inside was also the place where patrons and visitors were able to see what was available. "A Haven For Foodies?" - Much of this place focused on the selling of various food items. A lot of people gathered around those areas so they could buy some. Foods ranged from fruits, vegetables and Asian food, to meats and seafood. Of course I couldn't forget about the gelato, coffee, juices and pretzels. How tasty. Aside from the food, they also sold souvenirs and gifts. Such merchandise included crafts, glass figurines, cups and mugs, and some art. I even saw someone sell their own bars of soap. Quite interesting. When we went there, this place was really crowded! Considering how narrow the areas and spaces were, we had to exercise extra patience while we ventured through here to see what was available. Also, a lot of what was sold here was a little pricey. I definitely wasn't a fan of that. Overall this place is all right for visiting. If you don't mind the high prices and crowds, then you'll probably enjoy it here. That's all I have to say for this small place.

After lunch I wanted to explore a bit and stumble upon the City Market. It reminds me of a farmer's market but like a museum! at the center are vendor selling their local made items and on either side of the market are restaurants, coffee shop, meat, bread, and seafood. When looking i side the market, it looks like a boat flip upside down, a very unique feeling. Recommend coming by here to visit and get some local goodies!

I wanted to love this place but there isn't much here. The folks who are here don't seem to be glad to see visitors/customers.

Another vendor had Donair which was delicious and was very similar to the kind I've been searching for that resemble those in Germany.
