I continually called CSEA and sent messages regarding my late payments, yet they did not follow through in a timely manner - costing me thousands of dollars in past due support. Today I spoke to a 'supervisor' who identified herself as Faye McGuire. She expressed no concern whatsoever with all of the money that they did not collect (or the fact the obligor did not pay anything), but claimed that 'now' the payments have begun and the obligor is paying 20% extra, or $149 extra a month. This is not sufficient considering the debt I am in now for past due utility/car payments, finance charges, pay day loan fees, excessive credit card debt (due to charging everything I needed including food and clothing/necessities for our son). My son's father kept all of the money - even though he was paid nearly $1,000 weekly for those (nearly) 4 months. I have repeatedly asked CSEA to follow-through with the obligor's employer, yet they continually made excuses for not being able to collect the payments - claiming they 'could not locate' the father, didn't receive any response from the employer, etc. There should be some type of parent/job locator system in effect to prevent unnecessary delays - and if there is one, Cuyahoga County isn't using it as they should. I find it very hard to believe they could not locate his employer. I researched various sources of legal information online concerning 'what' can be done when the obligor willfully refuses to pay support - https://www.dbllaw.com/employers-respond-to-wage-garnishment-order/ "In Ohio, an employer has 5 business days to respond to a garnishment issued by an Ohio court". http://www.acf.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/ocse/handbook_on_cse1.pdf "An employer who fails to withhold the income in accordance with the notice is liable for the accumulated amount that should have been withheld from the noncustodial parent's income" http://codes.ohio.gov/oac/5101%3A12-50-10 "(F) When a payor or financial institution fails to comply with any requirement of a JFS 04047 or JFS 04017 issued by a CSEA, the CSEA shall bring an action under section 3121.371 of the Revised Code requesting the court to order the payor or financial institution to comply with the JFS 04047 or JFS 04017. If the payor or financial institution fails to comply with the court's order, such failure is contempt of court". http://www.nolo.com/LEGAL-ENCYCLOPEDIA/OHIO-wage-garnishment-law.html "...Up to 50% of your disposable earnings may be garnished to pay child support". Faye McGuire refuses to take any further action to collect these payments. The obligor leaves very little in his bank account, puts his possessions in his wife's name, and structures his tax exemptions so that he doesn't get any tax refund back each year (to prevent CSEA from confiscating it). Although there seems to be laws out there - which would assist families in collecting what is due - they are not in effect. They are completely useless and disregarded by Cuyahoga County's CSEA office. A child's needs cannot wait, yet CSEA has no concerns.

The "mystery meat surprise" was neither surprising nor edible. Michelin stars? More like microwaved sadness. Activities are limited. No pool, no fitness center (unless you count pacing in a tiny room), and definitely no complimentary breakfast. The entertainment mostly consisted of echoing noises down the hallway and the occasional shouting match. Overall, would not recommend. Zero comfort, zero hospitality, and not worth the stay. With the primary election scheduled for a day I would be out of town I decided to vote early. On a…read moreFriday morning, I headed to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections located near downtown. Parking was easy, you enter the free lot off of E.12th. From there it is a short walk to the voting area; there is an area for canvasing by candidates and there supporters during the walk if you want more information. Once inside I was directed down the hall and to the right where they have a large area set up for early voting. When I arrived there was no line and there were a dozen or more stations set up to check in. You present your ID and they confirm you information, then they print out your ballot and you sign to confirm. From there have your choice of voting kiosks where you fill out your ballot and then take it to have it scanned. Overall voting early at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections was convenient, easy and well organized. With the large number of stations set up I would guess that they can handle large crowds, but your experience might vary. A nice job all around and all of the election workers I interacted with were friendly and helpful.

I just voted today…read more(Sunday - November 4th 2018) and I'm glad I'll beat the crowds on election day which is Tuesday, November 6th. I got here early at 12:30pm and a line quickly started to form. Voting began at 1pm and I left at 1:30pm because I was taking my time as I voted. You can be in and out within 10 mins if you vote quickly. Right now (1:45pm) there is a long line of people waiting to vote but the process is looking smooth and controlled. The ballots are paper based so when you enter, you will be given a paper ballot along with a form to complete. On the form, you will be asked for your name, address, and either your driver's license number or the last 4 digits of your social security number. I heard that the actual polling locations on election day in your neighbourhood will have electronic ballots. If you plan to vote early then come here to the Board of Elections and vote. The building is clean, safe (security officers are around), and parking is at designated spots. Parking will be tight though if you don't get here early. GO VOTE. I was absolutely dreading going to the Social Security office to change my name following my…read morewedding -- especially because I needed to go during the lunch hour. But it was actually a very fast and efficient process at this location! You sign in at a computer station upon arrival, entering basic information and what you're there for to get you queued up. Once you're finished, it prints you a number. There's a fairly spacious waiting area to sit in until your number is called, and a lot more stations open to assist you than I would've expected. As such, I didn't have to wait more than seven minutes before my number was called. I was helped quickly by a very friendly attendant, who went over all information to ensure accuracy before submitting. The whole process with him took under 10 minutes, and I was out the door! Not bad at all.
