Horrible experience by the new "partial" owner. A far cry from the wonderful tranquil mood and…read moreapproach of Master Tak at Japan Bonsai. This new owner is rude and insulting. I've bought near 20 trees off Japan Bonsai. Done courses and had many a laugh with Master Tak. I've thoroughly over many years tried absorbed what I could of the culture. Thanks in most part to Master Tak's welcoming vibe. Since then I've had a family. My older boy of 5 has been living and caring for the bonsai all around him. When I'm at work he's been watering since 3yrs old in the mornings. Today was to be special. He was a good boy all day so that he could go for the visit to "The Bonsai Garden". On our first visit, though he stayed close, it apparently was not close enough to me. It seems this new owner would have preferred my son on a leash. He never sadly hello, how is your day going, is that your boy, what is his name nothing. Just " keep you kid from running around." and then walked away few steps later "Thank you". That was tough for him. I approached this man with my son to see if perhaps he hadn't noticed his rude behaviour. He said " I'm the owner". I said "Where's Tak?". He says "around". So I say "partial owner?" and he knods. Apparently he didn't like to admit that either. I suggested if getting to know a customer on the property would be a better approach and then inject as a reminder of the fragility of things. Perhaps then I'd be able to show that my son was versed in the art. He'd name off the species and respectfully acknowledge this mans observation. Instead he says " it doesn't matter who my customers are". He literally said that. To where I said " excuse me?" He doubles down and then explains that my parenting isn't up to par with "other customers" . Needless to say I'll never be going back. He can leach off of Tak's legacy for as long as he wants. Though it may be tough I won't be going there ever and supporting this man. Whatever to happened to friendly folk? If a person is thrown off and approaches you to clarify, the owner would say "my apologies for that, my intent was....." Instead I get. "It doesnt matter who my customers are" and " other people don't behave like you" you know what that behaviour was He was referring to. A father with his son slowly walking, quietly observing for the first time with a little boy a garden of trees on sunny afternoon. Trees this little knows all about, cares for and loves. Japan Bonsai is over miss you Tak LRZ
