The price is slightly higher (depending on how you travel) but if you consider waiting at the airport, long security lines, the wait time, it's a great value! This was the third time I have traveled with the train and it was clean, relaxing, we had breakfast and the train staff was very helpful if anything was needed. The waiting area and lounge can get a bit busy and there is limited seating. Depending on the arrival/departure schedule you may need to stand for a bit until seats open. But don't worry, you'll be at your destination very soon!

My partner and I have enjoyed Eurostar from London since the days of Waterloo International (how we…read moremiss Waterloo International!). The facility at St Pancras, particularly compared to other UK stations, is pretty impressive. The building is housed in a stunning red-brick building with vaulted ceilings, lots of natural light, and modern facilities, which are generally a joy to use. A few niggles: Eurostar does not have trolley carts readily available at the arrival door. Arriving on one's own, as I've done on a few occasions, as has my partner, means running past the Eurostar check-in desk, hooking a right, running up to the mainline train station, hoping that there's a stumpy little cart there, and having, I think, a £1 coin to unlock the thing. This has not been well thought out. For example, supermarkets have very clever technology that limits their carts from being taken off premises. With some minor retuning, Eurostar could do exactly the same to enable its customers to have a stress-free experience. Now, the background is that, with Brexit, there are more security checks, and Eurostar is simply unable to process the number of people that fill a train. That said, the station itself is not fit for purpose. Its waiting areas are cramped. There is often insufficient seating, and people are jammed together. It's disappointing, in the days of digital nomads and people charging phones and computers and all sorts of electronic devices, that there are only a few ledges where people can plug in to work. The whole experience feels more like a bustling, shoving commuter rail than an international high-speed train journey. The insult to injury comes with whatever they call it, business class. You get a larger seat, you get food at a meal, but you're corralled in with the hoi polloi. This is only relieved when you go for the top-tier service, which is called Business First or Business Elite. We forget, where they have a very spacious lounge with tea and coffee, an assortment of drinks, which is far more impressive. The downside is that the cost is near extortionate. Boarding the trains is a bit of a free-for-all, understandable, though, when you have 16 trains, 16 cars, and a train capable of carrying somewhere around 800 passengers. The staff, which are usually French, Belgian, and Dutch, deserve particular mention. The ground staff and the staff on the train are rude, grumpy, surly, and seem utterly indifferent to the needs of travelers. The service itself: great. The location: great. The amenities are lacking. Wall plugs are lacking. Train: piss-poor. SOLID PERFORMANCE & EUROSTAR NEEDS TO DO BETTER

I wouldn't normally write a review about a taxi firm but these fellas are just so damn nice, it…read morewould be a crime not to! I have used this company lots over the past few years and they are always prompt, friendly and know exactly where they should be going. I know that should always be the case with taxis but in London it's a rare thing when it comes to mini cabs. Even when other companies have quoted me an hour to get to me these fellas have said 'no problem' and been there in 10 minutes. At the London Field Day festival, they helped me and my friend get home for a snip of the cost of the other places near Victoria Park and we only wait about 15 minutes. They are good if you are a single female traveling too. Thank you Diamond Taxis - you are my favorite!

Awful. I have been using Diamond cars for about 3 years. It…read moreis like any local minicab service, not especially friendly, but does their job. To be fair, they are good for local pick ups and drop offs. and actually good for going to airports. but their problem is the pick up from the airport plus the very arrogant attitude of some drivers, one of them definitely had some anger issue! Last week I booked a cab from abroad to be picked up from heathrow. when I arrive at the baggage reclaim, the cab driver calls me and says that he is going to take another 30 mins. I'm actually a patient person so I just said ok. I go out to the arrival and call the driver after 30 mins, he said that he will be late for another 5-6mins, and tells me to come to the 'drop off' area, which I had no idea where it was. I asked around dragging my suitcase, but no one seemed to know, so I waited outside the arrival near the taxi area for another 15 mins. still no sign of my cab turns out that the driver didn't have any credit on his phone and couldn't call me. very professional. I found out that he was on the departure level drop off. I had to go 3 floors up, he is still not there, takes him another 5 mins to appear in front of me. He did apologies but the tone of his voice is not especially sorry and just made excuses rather angrily. His driving was dangerous, rough and speeding way to fast. I expected some sort of discount, as I waited almost 1 HOUR after an 13 hour flight and used my mobile to call the driver about 5 times. but he refuses to give any discount. I called the office and they spoke to the driver, tells him to give me 2 POUNDS off. I thought they were joking but they were dead serious. I lost my energy to argue and just paid him 45 pounds that he did not deserve. When I turned away, I could hear him saying something rude to me. very disappointing as a loyal customer NEVER EVER AGAIN.
