I've only been to this branch, located in a Festival Foods Store, once, but I wanted to give them…read morecredit for 5-Star Customer Service. Here's the story...I ran in their door about a minute before they were closing on a Saturday because my ATM Card wasn't working. The Teller was extremely nice and helped me fix the problem. As we were chatting, my recent move came up and we realized that my new address wasn't in their system, so he fixed that too. I had use the ATM outside the bank to reset my password, but I could not see the screen well enough to complete the process, so I waved at the Manager who came out and cheerfully helped me. At this point it was at least 30 minutes past closing time and they still treated me like a valued customer. Unfortunately, I have forgotten their names, but I will never forget their kindness and patience!

Mobile banking in particular. This, I've found to be significantly difference from other banks such as Wells Fargo or Coulee Bank. You get used to it and things usually sort themselves out within a few days. So you live with it. But when you find yourself in "panicked" situations where there's appears to be chunks of money missing from your account it's a bit nerve-wracking. Only to be made worse when you call for an explanation and your local branch tells you "you can't count... but they'll be happy to teach you how..." Yea the condescending nature of such remarks while the mobile banking has failed to account for chunks of your money is enough to stress a person out. Any way after doing my own research on my laptop I discovered that the bank holds certain portions of check deposits for a certain time period. I called back to advise them of this and they told me "I'm glad you found your money." Yea, me too! Except I don't work for US Bank and it would've been nice to get some sort of customer service where this was simply explained to me instead of being told how stupid I was. But I guess the point is that they didn't know know where my money was at the time so you can't advise a customer of what you don't know ‍

I have tried to find out why this bank wants to alienate itself from its older cliental. For years…read moreI have done almost all my banking and getting my account information through their automated phone system. In the last 4-5 years this bank's IT team has made this banking system impossible to use. I have a line of credit that if I used it, I would use the automated phone service to pay it back. Over the last few years the IT department made it so that you can not do this anymore. The first change in the automated system took out the interest which was due on your overdraft amount. So you had to be on hold until someone got all your info, told you that amount and made the transaction. Then the IT department would not allow you to completely pay down the overdraft owed without a customer service rep completing the transaction. After you are on hold, go through giving all your account info so they can get in to your account. Now there is no option to transfer any money within your own account to pay anything on your overdraft. So once again, you get put on hold, then the customer service person would put you on hold again so you can get a person qualified to do this transaction. I have brought this to the attention of 3 different branch managers and a customer service manager on the phone. Here is the lip service I got each time. QUOTE I, the person I told this to will forward this to the proper people to get back to you to try and make your banking experience better. This update was to come from their IT department. 3 years later and no response, not even an acknowledgement that they care and I tell the customer service person I have had it being on the phone for 25 minutes to do a 1 minute transaction. A customer service manager calls me back yelling at me about respect and to take whatever business at ALTRA I have and get out. LEAVE! where does he get off looking for respect when this bank could care less about its senior citizen bankers who have brought on ongoing problem to their attention. This fool does not have a clue of what his automatic banking system does and does not do anymore. If you want respect then show some to your customers especially your senior citizens and see why the complaint was made in the first place. For those thinking online, well my account was purged twice so I do not bank online and now forced to get a paper statement at $3.00/month fee. A way to charge another fee. Bottom line is don't banks want to collect money as easily as possible or do they want to continue to make it more and more inconvenient for the customers who rely on the automated phone service to pay them back. Glad to see that this customer service manager researched this before he told me to get lost and take my business with me.
