He started at 8:20 in the morning. That's fine if you've got a building full of young, gainfully-employed early-risers, but given the amount of retirees in this building - and believe me, it's a vast majority - such a loud mower so early in the morning is outrageous. And I'm on the 5th floor. I can only imagine what it sounds like on the 1st floor. He's mowing the back yard - and the pool. The pool was filled in a few years ago. Ultra Vista's chief redeeming feature plowed under. The superintendent is drunk much of the time, and smokes like a chimney. The drink affects his work and the lobby is often smoke-filled. He addresses my wife as "sweetie" which makes her very uncomfortable, and might land him in the emergency room if it happens again. I gave Ultra Vista 1 star. 1 star meaning yes, there are positive traits. The location is good, and the apartment is in reasonably good shape. The other tenants here are kind folks, and the landlord is kind and quite receptive to complaints. It's just a shame her main employee isn't. I'm pretty grumpy. I had a rude awakening today.

If you can spare the money for the unit with the bay window, do it. Opens up the apartment that much more. Great management-friendly and attentive. Underground parking is a huge plus. I had to relocate temporarily for work but heavily considering returning to this community based on my experience.

Unfortunately some management hasn't had a day of hospitality training. After moving out, our security deposit took three weeks to come back to us and was written incorrectly so we could not deposit it. We politely called to have it reissued and the assistant immediately had an attitude with us. After 5 minutes of belittling us, she hung up on us without offering a solution. Sad to say this isn't the only issue that management has had with tenants, but definitely the most shocking since all we asked for was our money back. Keep searching unless you have the patience to deal with constant emails, multiple apartment checks, and rude secretary.

Marci's hubby quoted my mom the "wrong price" and since my mom "wasn't paying enough" she was refused any services or accommodations offered to regular visitors such as toilet paper, clean towels, clean sheets and regular room cleaning. These rooms are not worth the 800$ a week price rate. The beds are uncomfortable, the shower is small and the water pipes bang again the wall every hour on the hour. Marci also basically bullied and harassed my mom every night when she came home from working long days begging for the money from my moms company. All in all you'd be better sleeping in your car.
