It has been a long time since I reviewed Chase Bank on Euclid in Palatine. While Chase, as an…read moreinstitution, is a huge multi-national corporation, this branch still operates like a small, hometown, bank. Our relationship has grown over the years. Lately, I've had to have a few items notarized and they are always ready to help. Also, I had an issue I could not resolve through their customer service line, and the branch fixed the problem with a smile. We continue to be loyal customers.

A few months ago I TOOK MY elderly MOTHER TO OPEN CHECKING AND SAVING ACCOUNTS…read more Mr. Anthony Seiler/ aka Tony was our personal banker and he helped my mother by explaining which accounts would be best fit her, direct deposit, fees etc etc and in most instances repeating over and over until she would finally comprehend, simply because she has been stuck in the old school way of doing things, and accepting change, well is very hard some times. However surprisingly she actually love Mr. Seiler and more importantly trust him and trust me she doesn't even like or trust most people lol , funny , sad but true. We have even stopped in since then to ask him a few questions and change a few things and he immediately helped us. Well after her encounters with Mr. Seiler, he may have renewed her faith in humans. Mr. Anthony Seiler was very accommodating, patient , professional and just a nice person with a good heart. He represents chase bank very well. Thank You Tony ! I really appreciate you and will see you soon as we embark upon purchasing a condo in the near future.

The bank tellers at this bank are amazing, and have extreme patience with their clients…read more I had previously made a very important wire transfer online, and received an immediate call afterwards from a Chase representative to verify that this wire transfer was securely from me and that I wasn't being scammed by anyone online. After verifying all the correct information, and ending the call, I had suspicions that this call from this chase representative was a very good form of phishing. I went online to verify my suspicions with online resources through Google AI and Reddit users who had previously encountered such things, and they had reported this kind of thing to be a highly-likely scenario of a scam artist. I immediately came into the bank to report my suspicions and try to attempt to do something about this. Alyssa was very kind to assist me and understand my dilemma. By contacting fraud support, they placed a claim on my transfer, getting it ready to be refunded with little damage of loss on my end. After 1 hour of trying to carry out the best case scenario for this fraudulence, transferring between 3 fraud specialists on the phone, and Alyssa being extremely patient with this entire situation, we came to find that the person impersonating a Chase representative that had initially contacted me, was in fact an ACTUAL Chase representative, and was not a scam artist after all. I am extremely grateful for the amount of time Alyssa had spent on this claim, and for her extreme patience throughout this entire situation. She was very kind, professional, and adept with how she handled this, from beginning to finish. Absolutely Remarkable. I would highly recommend this Chase Location.

If I could give Chase negative stars, I would. I've banked with Chase for over 40 years, with…read moremultiple personal and business accounts, and what happened this week was beyond unacceptable. I opened a new business in August and opened a business checking account with Chase, just like I've done many times before. Two days ago, I received a random email saying my account was being closed -- with zero explanation. I assumed it was a scam until I called the official 800 number. Unfortunately, it was real. Chase closed my account and refuses to tell me why, despite the account having thousands of dollars in it. There are no legal issues, the company has a brand-new federal tax ID, it's in good standing with the state, and the account was always positive. After getting nowhere with an offshore call center, I went to my local branch. Even the banker who opened the account couldn't access any information. I emailed the branch manager, who never responded, and only took my call two days later -- yet still didn't answer my questions. The complete lack of transparency is infuriating. After running millions of dollars through Chase over more than three decades, this is how they treat long-term customers. I look forward to the next time a Chase salesperson approaches me at a networking event. I'll gladly share how Chase closes accounts without warning, offers no explanation, and shows absolutely no regard for customer loyalty.

You can bank anywhere, so why not here…read more Banks are huge competition these days, most offering the same thing. Here's what made our experience great at this location. I was helping my mother open a checking and savings account. At her age (71) and being retired, she needs a little hand holding through new things like this. We came into Chase because we got a $300 coupon in the mail for opening a new account. She really doesn't have much money, so an extra $300 goes a long way for her. Our banker / specialist at Chase was Laura Homan. Admittedly my mom can be hard to deal with. She would talk at you for hours if you let her, and bankers these days are very busy and typically have lines of people waiting. Laura was very patient with Mom, and went slowly through everything so she would understand. I've seen bankers that want to try and sell you everything possible. While Laura did a good job representing Chase and different options available, she never got pushy with anything. We walked out with a new account, some checks, and a couple hundred extra dollars. Laura made it a great experience not only for my mom but me as well. Thanks Laura!

Been with the Wintrust network of banks for a few years now. I started in Chicago with Wintrust and…read morethen floated my accounts over to Palatine Bank & Trust. This isn't really the banks fault as much as it's a corporate issue / computer structure issue. Whenever I want to transact business inside I have to get Northshore Bank paperwork filled out. It adds on a minute or two of bureaucracy. I could open new and local accounts but it's a very hard task to do with direct deposit from the government. Changing government direct deposit is beyond a headache and beyond bureaucracy clogged. So I just keep using my accounts as extended network. The bankers at PB&T don't care. The PB&T bankers are some of the best people in the community. They are an always welcoming and friendly staff and always engage in the community, even if that engagement is something as simple as letting someone with anxieties about the COVID pandemic talk it out for a few minutes over the bureaucracy of a transaction. There's banks I've been to that have personnel who are cold, unwilling to talk and just want to get business done and shove the next person up to the window. There's banks that have gotten so impersonal that you walk in stick your card in a reader punch your PIN and then the "teller" gives you your money or deposits things. I won't mention the competitor name but they're a national big box bank and frankly I feel like ALL of the big box banks have gotten to a point of fully objectifying clients and treating them like nothing more than walking bags of money to transact with. PB&T some of the bankers recognize me when I walk in and greet me, other times I meet a new banker and make a new connection. But those connections only become stronger. PB&T is truly a bank that makes every effort to connect with clients, support them and overall be a friend to the client rather than just a bank. I can't say this about any other bank, historically Harris Bank pre merger had this kind of connection but since the merge they too have gone to big box bank psychology. There are few banks in the world that a person can comfortably say one of my friends happens to be my bank branch. This is one of them. I strongly recommend you move to PB&T if you are banking elsewhere. Not only is PB&T a truly client oriented bank but the entire Wintrust network puts the client first. I had an overdraft happen, I fixed it the same day and they didn't charge me a dime. I had an overdraft happen at my previous bank fixed it the same day and still got charged $45 AND got told I couldn't get a reversal done even though I fixed it the day of the overdraft. I could go on and on with reasons for you to bank with PB&T but I think the best way for you to see the bank in action is to drop in and see for yourself.

I have been a customer at this bank for at least 15 years. The personal service is the best.read more
