Thanks to the "Steal a Wash" promotion with the Chicago White Sox, when the southsiders steal a base during a home game, anyone with the Gas N Wash mobile app can redeem a FREE deluxe car wash! Better still, there's no frequency limitation (that I know of), so as long as the Sox have a speedster on their roster, you can repeat ad nauseam. The car wash itself is nothing special, no cool light show or disco ball dryer. A 'light' wash is $8, while the 'basic' is $15 and comes with undercarriage triple foam polish. The $20 'deluxe' wash adds tire shine & hot wax, and the $25 'extreme' wash dunks your car into Lake Michigan. * TL;DR * As often as my car gets dirty, I'll never pay full price for a deluxe wash (a $5 express wash is a different story, however). If I had known what was going on I might have waited to update, but alas.... My fellow Yelper Maureen was spot on about this place; and even convinced me to give it another try. All I wanted was a fill up and a car wash. I waited too long to choose which wash from the pump so I had to go in to purchase it. Lovely! Everything is bright and nice again, clean, well merchandised. The Subway, Baskin Robbins and Dunkin Dounts are still here too, I was glad to see. The employee who rang up my wash was extremely friendly and helpful. She issued me one of those Speedy reward cards and told me that I have 4 washes to go until I get a free one. Cool! And the car wash is back up to par. Yessssssss! I'm so glad I like this place again. I missed it!
