Nothing gets fixed correctly, owner too cheap. And no background checks for safety. Yells at renters, scams more money from renters.

Our problems started right after we rented, and they did address them initially, but then they couldn't agree with the landlord and parted ways. After that, I was left alone with the landlord. Of course, since their contracts ended, they don't have to help, but even though I continued paying all my rent through the platform they provided and they knew about the issues with the landlord, they offered no support when I moved out. They didn't even give me a reference, and because my landlord didn't reply to emails or replied late, or perhaps gave a bad reference, I had a lot of trouble finding a new place. All I wanted was a reference. I came from another state and rented this house sight unseen, trusting their name, but they didn't lift a finger to help me in my difficult time. In the end, with a baby, two months of stress looking for a house, being rejected, and paying more deposit because there was no reference or a bad one. Think twice before doing business with this company or trusting their name, and if possible, talk to the landlord directly and meet them because one day they might be disappeared. Otherwise, you might end up without electricity and get no help from anyone. Because at the end of the day, once they rent the house and get their money, you're nobody's concern. Note for response: I just have asked that I rented property via your company and paid on time. New landlord just want to make sure no eviction or delayed payments. You had all these information and legally you could refer me because I rented from your company and I have used zego payment via from your company. You guys just rented out took your money and left me alone with landlord. I dont know landlord.I trusted your company! You just betrayed and left your customer alone

This company is a complete mess, and it seems like they only employ inept people. To begin, I had…read morescheduled a viewing of an apartment. The property manager was late to the meeting (not significantly, but late none-the-less). Despite this, I wanted the apartment because of the location. The property manager then told me that they did not have the forms that they needed to give me, and that I would get emailed with the form later. Fast forward, I didn't receive the email so I call them. They tell me to go on their website and apply for a different spot and then call them to tell them that I am applying for that spot instead. I did not feel comfortable with this, and my co-applicant was out of town so I decided to wait a few days. Once it was time to apply, the property had been delisted and relisted for $100 more a month (Despite being on the market for months and multiple relists for price drops). When I called to ask about the price change, they informed me that the property now has someone else applying for it. I asked if they had anything similar near that area and the lady told me that I need to go to their website to see what they have available and offered no help what-so-ever. This company is so sketchy that it makes me sick knowing that they are preying on the members of our military with these predatory practices.

Professional, knowledgeable, honest property management company. The property managers have years…read moreof experience and the credentials that go with it. The maintenance manager has many years of experience and can actually fix indoor, outdoor, appliances, etc. He doesn't have to go out to a property multiple times to fix things. The staff is responsive to everyone--tenant, owner, vendor, potential tenants and owners. I have had dealings with property management companies that are the complete opposite. I'm surprised those companies are still in business. Dishonest, non responsive, overcharging owners, illegal practices, in lawsuits because many of their staff are not qualified for their positions and do not know the rules and regulations. They send out multiple maintenance techs to a property to fix something and they did not fix it--but the company still charges the owner? Of course a few people will do a review to complain about Parkwood but there are many many happy and satisfied tenants and owners. Way more than a couple disgruntled tenants who most likely didn't read their lease where everything they need to know is written in black and white and signed by them. Parkwood is the BEST choice. 5 stars. 10 out of 10.

I never thought I would have to take someone to court, but that's the process I'm in right now. RCW…read more59.18.280 states that the landlord has 21 days from the time the rental agreement ends and the tenant vacates the unit to postmark the return of the deposit or a written statement detailing why portions of the deposit were withheld. If the letter or bill gives estimates of repair costs, but not actual repair costs, your landlord failed to notify you correctly under the law even if your landlord gave you those estimates within 21 days. The court case that says estimates are not good enough is Goodeill v. Madison Real Estate, 191 Wash.App. 88 (2015). So I'm entitled to my entire security deposit and I have yet to receive it. What's worse is that when sharing the law and case information to NRB, the response I got was "This is how we've always done it." Way to tell me that you've been breaking the law for a LONG time. So as a result, all of my friends who are moving to tacoma, I steer them far away from NRB. so why two stars instead of one? Well, while we were there, things seemed fine. They were generally very responsive when we needed them to be, although I wasn't a fan of the occasional need to have inspections done. That was weird and the first time I've encountered it as a renter since college.

My advice is not to do business with these folks as they're practically unresponsive and when they are, they'll give you conflicting information and be very disrespectful. Rest assured that I will be making a formal complaint with the attorney general's office and the Tacoma Chambers of commerce. If you want to rent with these folks, expect to need a lawyer to deal with them.
