I literally saw their version of basic nachos, hot dogs, pretzels, candy and beverages. I expected more. MUCH more. I should've gotten food from one of the outside vendors, to be honest. They seemed to be severely understaffed in the concession areas. It was disappointing. The concert was good, but the best thing about the venue itself was the parking.

I've only attended concerts here over last several years…read more Each time we've taken the Muni Metro T line directly to Chase. The station stop is across the street from Chase. Last night's concert was Lionel Richie & Earth Wind & Fire. However there was a medical emergency with a band member of EWF. This occurred between 5:30pm - 6pm according to reports. He was taken to the hospital. It wasn't until 7:20pm that the concert was canceled with a 7:30pm concert start time. Many of us had been waiting in line since 6:30pm when doors were to be opened. Couldn't we have been advised sooner? Speedy recovery to the EWF drummer.

WONDERFUL RENTAL FACILITY AVAILABLE…read more We have looked at this auditorium when planning our wedding at the Zoo. We ended up in the Snow Building since it would hold our 175 guests. This facility is a little bit smaller than that, but is also available to rent. I was able to attend a lecture here the other night and informed that every couple of months they have speakers that inform the audience about preservation or whatever the topic may be. I heard Miles Woodruff speak on the importance of biodiversity with specific mentions to the work he does with Mandrills in the Congo. It was amazing. The room was great for a lecture. A good size with a wonderful sound system to amplify his voice. A screen was pulled down and he had slides that were clearly shown on it. There was a kitchen in the back and dishes were provided with the snacks they had set up for us. A large room at the entrance served as the table to buy our tickets and also show the featured raffle prizes. A large, very clean restroom was available and it had several stalls. The auditorium itself is a very handsome building and it was decorated nicely inside with beautiful lights above us. There is convenient parking outside and several handicapped as well. It is not part of the Zoo but is on Zoo property. Just the like Snow Building, you won't be seeing any animals - though, I did hear some barking when I parked! I look forward to attending another lecture in the future in this auditorium. And I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a building to rent, as I feel from experience it was a real pleasure to process the rental application with the Zoo employees.

The food was mid and I thought it was overpriced. Food 4/10. What I really liked is that you could easily see the bay from an amazing view. We arrived early this time and did a full circuit outside the stadium and then inside to take it all in. Boats in McCovey Cove, field level views from Triples Alley, souvenir shopping in the Dugout and all the great local food options (garlic fries, Crazy Crab'z sandwiches and Girardelli hot fudge sundaes). The Shield Lounge level had its own dedicated entrance right next to the ticket windows. After checking in and getting our wrist bands we had access to the lounge and took advantage of the free water bottles, soda, Cracker Jacks, popcorn and dedicated bar and seating. It also had its own set of bathrooms but it was quite small and the men's room even had a long line. From the lounge it was a quick cross over to the entrances to our seats. So simple. Unfortunately no home runs into McCovey Cove this time so none of the theatrics but still a great pounding inflicted in the Milwaukee Brewers 16-3. Always fun to watch the antics of Lou Seal. Besides the t-shirt toss, Lou Seal was jamming along with a DJ during one of the inning interludes. I've only been to a small handful of stadiums in the US and Japan and Oracle Park is still my favorite.

They shoot fire from the top of the basketball nets (and you really can feel the heat!). I didn't get any concessions, but workers do walk around with items so you don't need to leave your seat. They're still quite pricey based on what I overheard, so don't think you'll get cheap snacks/drinks just because you're at a college game.
