I absolutely love this studio! The studio is the one place that reminds me to leave all my stresses at the door & focus on JUST myself for the complete hour. I've always been too intimidated to start yoga because I felt it would be too hard for me to follow any instructor but this studio offers more than just one type of class especially for beginner yogis. With positive words, the instructors never made me feel out of place in any class. I started with SSU60, slowly moved up to Modo60 and did my first Slow flow 60 class today which I loved! In just a month, I found myself focusing on muscles that weren't even touched at my regular gym while building upper body and core strength. Also, the studio has a mini store inside with yoga attire & clean washrooms with showers & lockers to store our belongings. It's a very warm environment & I'm always greeted with a smile. The instructors let yogis come 15 minutes before all classes to lay/stretch in the room. Lastly, this studio has an app which I've downloaded to my phone & I'm able to book the classes in advance depending on my schedule for the week. I definitely want to thank my instructors for helping me plant the seed of yoga into my life, it is one thing now that I will always love!

I came for the 2-hour Intro to Suspension Yoga class with a friend just to try something new…read more The class began a bit late because of the fact that some participants showed up a little later than expected. Part of it was attributed to the fact that it's a little difficult to actually FIND the classroom beyond the main address. You need to go downstairs, hang a right at the end, and follow it all the way down (class/studio will be on the LEFT). One of the instructors was actually OUTSIDE the building and had mentioned to me that it's quite common that people are unable to find their studio - so head's up! Let me start by saying Beatrix (class instructor) was awesome. She's so relaxed and just really cool about intake of all participants of skill level and body type. The only reason why I can't give this place 5/5 is because nearly the entire first hour of the class was actually spent yacking ... it would have been nice to be DOING rather than socializing. The first hour was just to go over our physical activity background and to get a bit of education about the history behind yoga and suspension classes in the GTA. I like learning, but I just felt like it was a little dragged out. The second hour, on the other hand, was definitely an experience I won't forget. We started small, with different kinds of flexibility techniques to get the most out of our stretches. By the end of the class, I was suspended in a standing position just a few feet off the ground, and my friend was already doing backflips in the suspension cloth! We managed to get some pictures at the end of the class, also (makes for some great social media pics)! Definitely come here with an OPEN MIND and DON'T let yourself be afraid of the fact that there is suspension component to the class, even if you're not an actual yogi yourself. This class was a lot of fun and totally worth the experience -- it would be a total shame to miss out on something like this in your lifetime.

She explained all the benefits of suspension yoga. We proceeded to do a lot of yoga poses with the aerials. I really did notice that I was able to go deeper into my stretches when I was upside down. The instructor told us that the next day, we will notice we will have grown a few cms. I actually measured myself and I was about an inch taller. Sadly, it all went away by the end of the next day. I didn't end up returning because, although suspension yoga is fun, I still prefer the more traditional yoga.
