I've been taking my big baby here for a few months. She's got some anxiety and can be apprehensive of other dogs, but they have been absolutely wonderful working with her. They give me an honest update each time I pick her up, and the photos they post everyday are not only adorable, but give me peace of mind being able to see how she's doing in the moment. Beware of this place! Dropped my baby off for vacation ended signing up for 30 day training program, after 13 days I missed him so much i went and picked him up, Thank God i did... he had lost 6 lbs and they told me he was eating well, told me they didn't trim his nails because they didnt need ,long when I dropped him off and requested they trim them so his nail were wacked off and one pad bleeding, he had a severe prepus infection as if they bred him with every female in the area.. it was swollen irritated and dripping green pus, but they didn't notice, he slept for 18hours the first day then I took him to vet and spent 191$ that the owner felt like she was responsible for 50$. They are shady so beware. Oh and in 13 days they thought him to go down. Pet smart can teach 2 dogs at same time to sit stay and down in less than a week. My boy will never go back there! read more

I have been to plenty of horse and dog boarding ranches. I was in need of help training my abused mustang. First, I would like to say. Their dog boarding is like a 5 star hotel. They have many employees that are constantly playing with the dogs. I have put my dogs in boarding, while on vacation. The other borders left them in cages and took them out once a day to play ball. This place is top notch for dogs and horses. Secondly, my horse trailer is out of comission at this moment. I needed a female trainer as my mustang was abused by men. Andrea who is a barrel racer, horse trainer and trainer for young riders drove out to my home and picked up my wild mustang. She had a saddle on him and was riding him within a week. If you knew my mustang, you would think this would be impossible. She has an enormous gift and very talented. As I have stated, I have seen many stable facilities. Over priced and leave these poor horses in stalls 24/7 with no sun or exersice. Cirlce Ranch offers inside stables, outside pastures with covering and a place where a horse isn't locked away standing in its own feces and urine. Third, the new owners are top notch! They are kind and willing to work with anyone. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Andrea has a gift with horses and training. I respect all the people that work there. I really despise being lied to, and mislead when it pertains to pricing of a service. I called Circle Star two times, and even asked their employee, Crystal, a third time (in person) upon our first visit. Here's what we were told in reference to dog boarding: $59 a night (for their Lodge room), with NO additional charge for our second dog, *if* they shared a kennel. If you pickup your dogs after 12P the following day, you're charged for a second night. This seemed fair, so we decided to try Circle Star. Our first visit was great, and we were charged the exact rates, as we were quoted on three separate occasions. On our second visit, we booked the "Lodge" room, at a quoted rate of $59 per night, and since we were picking our dogs up before noon the next day, the rate should only be $59, total. Nope, Crystal charged my card to the tune of $128. When I came back in to inquire as to why, she stumbled, and fumbled her words, and said that the first visit, she accidentally charged us less than what we should've been charged, and that she conveyed this message to my wife that it'd be more on the second visit. Not true, as this is a blatant lie, as she never told me, or my wife this. Ever! So, one night (if you have 2 doggies) at Circle Star Resort, will cost you $128 (yes, for ONE night), after they gouge you with some cat scratch fever pill ($5 per dog, per visit, I might add). I've lived all over the country, and in some of the biggest cities, but I've never seen a kennel charge $128 a night for boarding. Ever! The insane pricing aside (which I can afford), what irritates me the most is being lied to- and a Circle Star employee fumbling her words and saying that this was conveyed to us. Oh, and why don't they give you an itemized receipt like most reputable businesses? I guess I should call my bank and see exactly what I was charged. Last, but definitely not least- one of our dogs came home with a deep gash on her head, and a swollen mouth. Granted, I know these things can happen, but for the individualized attention that this kennel supposedly offers, one would think it'd be a rarity. Personally, I feel as though Circle Star acts in a deceptive manner. Insanely high prices, and an injured dog. Never again! read more

I boarded my two six month old puppies for one day and one night at Circle Star and came away from the experience with a number of concerns. I spent $69 per dog per night for my pair to be housed in a facility called the Haven, which was touted as having a large living room, a huge play yard with agility equipment and toys, and an in-ground pool. The Haven's den mother is supposed to provide personal attention to the dogs staying there. 1) The living room could fit inside an efficiency apartment 2) the play yard was not huge and had no equipment or toys. It sat in full sun 3) I was told my dogs couldn't go swimming because all outdoor activities were suspended after noon during the summer and that included the pool because the concrete around the pool was too hot 4) I was told my dogs would be allowed to swim the next morning but that didn't happen. 5) There were 20 other dogs staying at the Haven. 6) The first den mother I met on the first day was shy or avoidant and clearly didn't want to talk to my husband or I. The second den mother on the second day didn't seem to know anything about my dogs and my dogs reacted to her as though they had never seen her before. 7) When I returned to the "resort" on the second day at 10:30 in the morning, I didn't see a single dog in the play yards, the pool or on golf carts or paddle boats. It seems, with so many dogs, the place would have been a flutter of activity on a summer morning, but outside it was as quiet as a cemetery. I paid for what is called the "Ultimate Luxury" board, which like all packages promised two play activities per dog per day, but while I was on the property, I was told there were 140 dogs there, which caught my attention because I saw no more than six employees. It just doesn't seem possible for so few employees to provide much attention to so many dogs. I never saw any pictures of my dogs posted on Facebook, either. Also, when I picked up my pups, they were desperately thirsty and drank more than a quart of water in under two minutes. I have never seen them drink more than 6 or 7 ounces at time, not even on the trail during our summer morning hikes. It really worried me and I feared they had been so completely ignored at Circle Star that were not even given sufficient water. I paid Circle Star's high prices, springing for the ultimate board, because the website led me to believe they would get playtime (including pool time) and they would get personal attention. And when I spoke with staff over the phone and on site, no one disabused me of these notions. I believe Circle Star is promising way more than they can realistically deliver and therefore, their prices are not justified. I actually feel guilty for leaving my pups with them. read more

We sent both of our dogs here for training and were absolutely amazed on how much they learned. They still do all the commands but our boxer still has trouble with the leash, that seemed to not stick at all or listening with distractions unfortunately. We received an unruly puppy that was hard to control. We were ready to find another home for her. We decided to take her to Circle Star for the thirty day training ($1,400 plus #5 for a pill that was not needed). We have fallen in love with her and have decided to keep her, but because of our love for her only. When we went for the "graduation" (where the owners make sure they can give commands), we were let go even though I was unable to control her. I did what was said, and still nothing, so the trainer said, well work with her at home. So we get home and I worked with her every day with no prevail. After calling the trainer, her and the owner came to the home and told me what I should be doing.. I have been doing what they said and things have gotten better, but not where she should be. We have emailed and called because they are suppose to have a guarantee. They get out of the guarantee by not returning the email and phone calls. I get angry every time I give a command and it has to be given over and over and over and she finally does it when I get upset with her; or she runs off and the command is never done because I am not able to chase her down. The commands have been in place since February, 2017. For a lot less money, we could be exactly where we are now or further. Circle Star says we need to do their mirror classes. Well, for another $600, we can do this class. I do not believe I want to give anymore money and come out with the same results. Unless something else is done, I would never recommend Circle Star. read more

So we had a new puppy (5 months old) that was super hyper, chewing, jumping, biting... an acquaintance recommended Circle Star. I checked it out. Looked amazing, but I was hesitant as the price was a bit above what we could afford. After a lot of consideration my thought was, we have a puppy that we need to train, and want her to be a lifetime member of the family. I had no clue on how to train and ended up thinking this was probably the best thing. They stated they would train her, and it came with a lifetime guarantee. Who could beat that! on June 8th we dropped her off - very excited for the 30 days to pass.. couldn't wait to see what she had learned. Throughout the 30 day stay, I contacted the trainer numerous times to get updates. She always told me Ariel (our puppy) was doing great! When the time came for her to graduate they wanted me to pick her up on a Tuesday. I could not go during the week (it was 2 hours away and I had to work). I told them I could only get her on a weekend. The trainer was hesitant and initially told me they had no room for boarding, they may have to "crate" her. I told her I wasn't crazy about that idea, but there was no way we could be there until that following Saturday. She told me she would check, but never called back. I called them again and was told it would be fine for her to stay, and we arranged for the "graduation" to be that following Saturday. From what I had been told, "graduation" would entail us ( me and my 8 year old) coming and spending about 2 hours there.. working with the trainer and our pup to see what she had learned, and to find out how to work with her at home. Upon arrival we were SO excited... what we found was very disheartening. Ariel wasn't responding to the trainer at all, pretty much walking in circles and had a cough. She also appeared to be skin and bones.. she has medium long fur, and I could feet ALL of her bones through it. The more I tried to work with her, it was apparent something was wrong. She kept coughing. I told the trainer I had concerns- and that I felt something wasn't right. The trainer verbally agreed telling me "I know, I am concerned too, this just isn't Ariel". She also agreed Ariel was way very skinny. We had to stop the session right there, I told her we needed to get to a vet. Of course we lived 2 hours away so I did not know of any in the area. She immediately looked up one and called to see if we could come. The trainer was very kind and had us follow her to the vet that Circle Star uses. The vet suggested bloodwork and a chest xray due to the cough... I did not have money for this, but agreed as I was very concerned about our puppy. The xray ended up showing she had pneumonia. The trainer told me Ariel had NEVER coughed until the day I picked her up. $400 dollars later we took her home with oral antibiotics in hand, and instructions from the vet to follow up with ours in a week. Once we got her home she seemed to go downhill quickly. She either layed in the corner or hid under the bed, coughed constantly and would not eat or drink. By morning she was gagging and coughing so much I took her to an emergency clinic. They checked her in immediately and told me she was VERY sick. She had to be put on oxygen (could not breathe on her own) - the vet called every day and told me she was oxygen dependent and everytime they tried to take her off of it her O2 sats dropped! Problem was, on top of the accruing bills, oxygen was 26 dollars and hour! I SO could not afford this, but didn't want to give up on this baby! I called the owner of Circle Star. At first she seemed very concerned, but sent me an email stating they did nothing wrong. Told me she would pay for all of the bills as long as I didn't "turn this into a Michael Jackson thing." The following day she called me early and wanted to talk to the emergency vet. I told her, I just wanted our puppy home recovered and healthy, and that I would not post anything negative if she just paid all of the bills. She did call the clinic and paid $2000 dollars that day (thank the Lord) She agreed to pay everything , but unfortunately the young, emergency vet told her this was "aspiration pneumonia" and that she had gone above an beyond in paying what she did. Really? I left my puppy there completely healthy, and this is how I picked her up!! She relayed a message through that vet that she would not pay any more. This puppy stayed in the emergency clinic for a total of 4 days - 3 of which she was completely oxygen dependent! The initial 2 days she couldn't even lay down due to not being able to breathe!!! The same vet told me she was "so uncomfortable" and was "really struggling". FINALLY after being on oxygen for the 2 days, she was able to lay down on a pillow and rest. She was on IV antibiotics the whole time, wouldn't eat much , eventually improved a bit and I was able to tak read more
