Our first conversation she told us she trains her dogs by holding them up by the leash for 30 sec or so, was adamant her husband's daughter was not her daughter, and complained that her not daughter was dating a black guy. She complained about our dog barking all night and pooping in the neighbors yard, when he never does either of those things. If you want to talk to a liar and pay more for a place lacking amenities, this is the park for you. Also the water is yellow and smells weird. And there's a leash policy but that doesn't apply to the neighbor's dogs or the owner's dogs, so be aware of that. The ducks were dandy though.

Also, the woman who "runs" things does nothing but run her mouth about people and make up false stories And then gossip.. never in my life have I ever met someone who will talk crap about someone they don't know to someone they don't know.. made a terrible first impression. If you're old and dying of cancer this is a great place for you, otherwise- you can find better places to stay WITH amenities of all sorts, for way cheaper and you don't have weirdos watching everything you do.

I spent a three day weekend here for a dog show. The dog area was unfenced, so a leash is required. A poop bag station looks new and was stocked with disposable bags. I didn't use any facilities, so I can't comment on that. My observation was that almost all the residents with either 5th wheelers or campers. No class A motor homes were seen. Most people seemed to leave very early for work and returned after dark. What I really appreciated was the quiet evenings. No drinking parties, loud music, or campfires (I've been downwind of firepits, which doesn't make for a pleasant experience. ) People were friendly but kept to themselves. The managers were helpful and friendly. This rv park had the best WiFi I have ever used in any park. Strong enough signal and bandwidth that I could work without buffering lag. It's not the fanciest park I've stayed at, but I would definitely stay here again and recommend if you're looking for a quiet place in the country.

I…read morewas told by the person taking the reservation that the spots were 70 feet long and that there was a concrete pad that would fit my 42 foot Coach, but not the trailer. I said that's not a problem. I'll take it for two weeks. I pre-paid for the two weeks. I pulled up and I couldn't believe that the pad was not even big enough for my coach. Not to mention, there was no possible way of leaving my trailer attached. I called the number and the young lady came by and took me to another part that was owned by the same people to look there. Again, not a single spot would fit my coach yet my coat and trailer. I told young lady that I'd like a refund and I'll go to another park. Thank goodness I found Sunrise Oaks, 10 miles away. They treated me with a 90ft piull thru. Couple hours later I received a phone call telling me that I'll get a 90% refund minus the credit card fees as well. I asked why is that you guys lied to me and completely misled me about the location and the accommodations. She says I'm sorry that doesn't matter you cancel the same day. Do not go there. Do not waste your time. It is a ghetto park. Full of mud and dirt can't even believe I pulled my Coach in there thank goodness I didn't pull into the park any further I would not have been able to get my coaching trailer out. UPDATE: just got another call in regards to my complete that 90%. It's not right since it's not my fault. Then she says to me oh, by the way you know you signed our terms and conditions and it says trailers are not allowed. I said, are you kidding me I told her I have a 24 foot trailer attached and it was not able to be taken off. I don't wanna park it somewhere because I have valuable things in the trailer and I wanted in my possession. Believe it, she actually said, you're lucky you're getting anything because canceling the day off you don't get anything. DO NOT EVER GO TO TIMBERLINE RV OR MARSHALL RV in Marshall Tx!!!

There was a grill at the site we were at. No table, but we brought one. It did look like they may have some available at some of the other sites. They have a nice little bathroom/shower house on the grounds for use if needed. Having the boat ramp right there was ideal for taking our kayak out and you can fish off the dock behind the owners house. The dogs that were roaming around did not bother us and the pitbull was super sweet! The area is beautiful and peaceful! Plenty of room to roam. We would stay here again for sure!

The place was so quiet most of the time, I thought we might be the only people actually staying in our RV. There are several other RVs out there, but we saw only a couple people at one of them while we were there. Dogs are not required to be on a leash here. We only found this to be a problem when one pitbull was especially friendly and jumping on us. We have no idea what the 3-4 dog's names were, or who they belonged to. Dogs poop where they want, and no one is picking it up....however, with that said, I never saw one poop near a campsite. They always did their business further out. There are no concrete pads, no picnic tables, no grills, etc here. This wasn't an issue for us, but you might want to know. It was very cold during our stay from January 3-7, 2022. We had no issues with our water, sewer, or electricity. It was a tight fit for our 42' fifth wheel at the first site they were going to put us, so we needed to move down a bit to a larger area. Luckily, there were many open sites, so this wasn't an issue. There are kayak rentals on the property, and lots to do in the area. There is some fracking going on closeby. A generator (or something that makes a lot of noise) ran a lot of the time we were there. Thankfully, we can sleep through just about anything, so this wasn't a big issue for us. It did detract from the quiet during the day, when we would've preferred to hear nature instead. This fracking is not taking place on the RV park property. They have no control over when this noise is going to come and go. I can see that this would be a big problem for some people. It was loud. But, it didn't bother us a lot because we were gone a lot of the time. My husband would probably say his favorite thing on this trip was the Measurement and Time Museum in Jefferson. He spent over 2 hours touring and talking to the owner. I enjoyed the shopping and talking to all the shopkeepers. There were some cute plus size clothes at Yesteryear and also The Front Porch. I'm hard to fit, and picky about the length of my shirts, and found exactly what I needed. We enjoyed the BBQ at Riverport, and the French Dip sandwiches at McGarity's. Service was good everywhere we went. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The Kroger and Walmart in Marshall are nuts! I've never seen a busier grocery store than the Kroger, and I've lived in heavily-populated Arlington, TX most of my life. It was hard to find a parking spot. We were disappointed to find out the local steamboat/paddleboat recently sank and is no longer available for tours. Also, because it was the week after New Year's, many shops, restaurants, and museums were closed for an extended period of time - some all the way to Feb. 1st. I highly recommend calling first before going somewhere, if you're coming in January.
