So then I came out and looked around- lots of workers stop in and get lunch; lots of dogs-hot dogs, sausages and other types I didn't catch. They have a big ice cream bars with tons of toppings, fresh fruit, boiled peanuts, coffee/drink selection hard to match then your normal chips and stuff. I can see why it is so popular!

They will all glance up at you then ignore you. I recommend regional manger on site training. The manager failed the crew by not supervising and providing refresher training on customer service. I understand people are busy. But they are busy because of the customers.

They have all the latest gadgets gas stations/convenience stores seem to be getting nowadays like milkshake machines. They even have a blood pressure machine in here... now that is definitely a first! There's a nice selection of hot food items; always, it always irks me that they always seem to be out of tamales no matter what time of day it is. They also have the ever popular Beer Igloo. Ton of gas pumps, but because they are so busy, it's not uncommon to have to wait for a pump. There are always several employees working, but for whatever reason, it seems when I go to the register there's only one employee there with like 10 people in line. Is it really that difficult for another employee to come to one of the other registers? Yes, I'll keep stopping here because we drive by often and are always in need of something. But I'm just not a huge fan of this Gate.

I know gate stays open 24…read morehours so I run in at 3:40ish am at 4234 Dunn only to be told I couldn't be cashed out for 15 min. It's inconsiderate to assume other people's time is not valuable. Evidently some new system(about a year old) shuts everything down at 3:45 and can't reopen until 4 am (per the manager at the Dunn location).. This information should be displayed for the public to see. I could have driven and stopped somewhere else. Thanks for ruining my time to pick up breakfast and snacks for work. So remember ALL GATE GAS STATIONS are closed 3:45 till 4:00 am ( per the store manager) so don't stop if you are on a time limit.

Well the pumps shut down at $100 so instead of re-swiping the card I figured topping off the tank with a hundred bucks worth of fuel would be more than enough to get me back to my home in Florida. I didn't go inside so I won't speak of the staff or the interior but the exterior grounds looked to be well maintained and the pumps functioned fine except for the owners choice to limit purchases - if you're hungry there is a Popeyes attached to the building...

This is a decent convenience store. We stop here pretty often to pick up bottled sodas and/or…read morewater when we're heading out and know we're going to be gone for several hours or more. The store is far from new and there's definitely nothing shiny about it. It could be cleaner, but I'm just grabbing drinks or sometimes a bag of chips or pack of crackers, so nothing to be picky about. They do have Texaco gas, but you'd have to be out of your mind to get gas here. The prices are always at least .30 cents more per gallon than they are over on Dunn Avenue. Just to give you an example, as I'm writing this now, gas prices here are $2.39... just over on Dunn Avenue at Gate and Racetrac they are $2.04... also on Dunn at Sam's the price is $1.98. So yea, there's zero reason to get gas here! If you need a drink, snack, beer, or smokes, by all means stop here. If you need gas, keep driving because no matter which direction you're going on Main Street, there's another gas station not far away.
