Horrible customer service here. As soon I walked in I was screamed at from across the store that I needed to leave my bag in the front.

The SmoKING Ribs - Beef brisket and Mac n Cheese

All the tables were full and there was one party of 11 just ahead of us. Our wait for a table was like 30 minutes or so. Once we were up we were guided to a table towards the back for five. Our server asked if we been here before and if we wanted anything else besides water to drink. My brother and his fiance split a full order of the beef ribs and side order of sauteed garlic green beans. My mom and step dad split a full order of beef ribs while I ordered a full rack of baby back ribs which came with two side orders. I picked coleslaw and onion rings which I shared with the family. The food came out promptly. Everyone enjoyed their food. The baby back ribs were moist with flavor, smoked and went well with their bbq sauce. The rest of the family really like their beef ribs. And they even commented that it was better than the other bbq places we been to. Definitely will return and highly recommend.

Today I ordered the 1/3 spareribs with mac & cheese. I also added a blueberry cornbread/muffin. This came out to $28 and change. Food: Disappointed. The meat had no flavor at all. Bland taste. The spicy BBQ sauce wasn't spicy at all. I asked an employee about it, and he stated they don't make it hot anymore. The mac & cheese and cornbread was good though, but I was there for the ribs. Service: Slow. We waited for around 15-20 minutes for our food. Our server did not come by once to offer a refill or check up on us. Overall, I won't be coming back. What was once a great spot for BBQ for me isn't anymore. Something changed here.

A Vietnamese sandwich shop serving quesadillas? I sat...I yelped it...I love quesadillas. Walked in and ordered the pork quesadillas. Service was straightforward, no cute happy 25 year old just the boss taking orders. 8 minutes and $8 dollar spent, I had my hot breakfast. The smell was irresistible. Got in my car, opened it up, took a bite. Yep, it was fantastic! Think high end meats, grilled with a touch of lemon grass, sugar, sauce, with old school Mexican cooking techniques and every bite a flavor bomb. The quesadilla wasn't huge, maybe 10 inches. But, 10 inches were filled all the way to the edges with cheese and pork. You know how you get a quesadilla and the outer inch has nothing. Well, not here. They add a crust of parm cheese on the entire outside, so you get the crispy cheesy crust in every bite. Did I mention it's $8! Yes sir, you are on my cravings list and I will see your hot, crispy, flavorful round face in my face soon.

Both sandwiches were absolutely delicious, with the pork slightly sweet and the beef one laden with grilled onions. We ordered them both "hot" level of spicy, and it was sooooo good. Perfect but not overwhelming for people who have a solid spiciness threshold. The baguettes came nicely roasted and had a nice crunchy crust. My beef sandwich got a little soggy as we didn't get to eat them right away, soaking up the juice/grease from the meat and toppings but the flavor was drool worthy. We will absolutely be back.

Sometimes after an extended day of being in the parks you are looking for something simple, and different than the theme park food! Apollo Burgers provided me with such an amazing experience! The bacon cheeseburger, onion rings and French fries I ordered were all wonderful. The bacon cheeseburger had a great deal of flavor and was very juicy and the bacon was crisp and the cheese was perfectly melted to hold all of the flavors of the burger together. The onion rings were golden brown and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and the French fries were hot and fresh! When you took a bite out of the onion ring, it was so good! The breading was perfect! What was really impressive to me about Apollo Burgers, in addition to the food, was how affordable it all was! The pricing was surprisingly affordable in comparison to what you would pay inside the park. In addition to this the service was excellent! They were very friendly, moved quickly, and were welcoming as well, even though it was late at night! Apollo Burgers was one of the best places I stopped to eat on my entire Disney vacation. It is a place I will definitely visit again on any future trips to Disneyland if I am looking for an awesome burger at a great price.

Apollo Burger is located off Chapman in the intersection of Garden Grove, Orange, and Anaheim (technically Garden Grove though). There's plenty of parking, but it can get crowded when the lunch or dinner rush hits. The interior has a bunch of seating, and the restaurant is very bright and clean. The staff were all super friendly, and everything was made fresh and quickly. I got a bacon cheeseburger and a cheeseburger (sub mayo, add pickles and onions), and both were exactly what you'd look for in an old school, diner-type burger. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were all great. I also got a chocolate shake which I would venture to say was one of the best chocolate shakes I've had in recent memory. I tried the grilled chicken sandwich as well, but unfortunately that was quite dry as they used pieces of chicken vs a full cutlet, so I would recommend avoiding that. This is a great burger joint in OC, and I absolutely plan to come back. If you're in the mood for a diner burger, this place is absolutely the spot to visit.

KoKo Chicken & BBQ - 24 soy wings

Koko's is a staple restaurant in this area for casual drinking vibes and consistently good food…read more Everything here is made to be good with a beer and some soju. We got the 8pc fried Pepper Soy wings and the Large Dubboki with cheese. The wings are always so good here. They're humongous, crispy, and sauced to perfection. The Pepper Soy flavor was so yummy and umami.   The trick is to get the dubboki so that you can dip the chicken in the sauce. The rice cakes are soft, and the sauce is sweet and spicy. The table also gets sat with a free side salad and pickled radishes, which is a great way to cut the richness of everything. A bite of chicken, a sip of beer, some rice cakes, and a bite of cold radishes really makes the night. Come out to Koko's for a drink, some eats, and a good casual time.

This used to be one of my favorite spots, so it honestly makes me sad to write this…read more They've made a few changes to the menu and pricing. The dukbokki can only have ramen when it's a large. On top of that, cheese is now $4 extra and ramen is $3, which feels a bit steep for add-ons. They also changed the salad sauce--it used to be more on the sweeter side, but now it leans spicier (around a 3/10 spice level, still good), which may or may not be your preference. The biggest issue, though, was the food safety concern. Our order included 8 pieces of fried chicken (4 drumsticks and 4 wings). The drumsticks were fully cooked and fine. However, the first wing piece I bit into was clearly undercooked. Because of that, we did not continue eating the remaining wings--the other three were set aside and later on, discarded into the small trash bin they keep at the table. When I brought it to the staff's attention, they told me the redness was from bone marrow due to a broken bone and that the chicken was fully cooked. However, the bone only broke because I bit into it, and the meat itself was visibly pink. Not just near the bone where bone marrow would be. The actual MEAT was red and pink all throughout. This was not just "marrow." Even zooming into the picture, you can see the meat on both the plate and in my hand was still red and pink. Additionally, the remaining wings were only visually checked by the waiter and were not opened or inspected internally, which would not confirm whether they were fully cooked. This is concerning, as a visual check alone doesn't accurately assess doneness. It also concerns me that, despite not being present, the owner claims his servers point of view as factual, including the claim that all the wings were eaten, which is not accurate. We did not consume the remaining wings after the first one I bit into. Unfortunately, there was no apology from my perspective, simply an "explanation" stating it was bone marrow. And the situation wasn't handled with much concern. I ended up feeling sick and had to go to the bathroom to throw up, which completely ruined the rest of the experience. Overall, I'm really disappointed. Between the price changes, the food safety issue, and the owner's response focusing more on defending the situation rather than acknowledging the concern, I don't feel comfortable coming back.
