This franchise is definitely copying the QT model of making their gas stations flashier and moving away from the old "Perfect spot for a late night parking lot drug deal because no one will chase you away while you're waiting an hour for your guy to drop off the stuff" look of the old stores. And they even hired a security guard to stand at the door just in case anyone gets any unsavory ideas. The gas pumps at this new location now accept ApplePay. I never thought in a million years that the creepy old building would ever be upgraded to do that! And the food deals are phenomenal. I saw a sign outside telling me that if I bought one gas station hot dog I could get another hot dog for just one dollar! That's not even money! But the best part - the most glorious part - is the clean public restroom! You won't have to gamble here as to whether it's one of the Circle Ks that have restrooms and then end up with the employees telling you there are none but then where do the employees go to the restroom? Huh? This Circle K is a refreshing addition to the area and feels like we're moving on up a bit...and possibly even modernizing the community in the near future. I explained I didn't have a lock for it yet and I just needed to pay for gas that I was getting in a 2 gallon gas can for my employer. (There is a truck with no license plate used solely on the property). I explained that I don't want to leave it out there to be stolen by any of the homeless that are hanging around. She wouldn't budge and I had to go to another location to buy the gas. My recommendation is to either solve the loitering problem at that store or make allowances in situations like this.
