I stopped in during an extremely busy time of the day but still managed to find a parking space within a reasonable distance from the front entrance. The interior was chaotic, it's seems everyone in Florida decided to have lunch here at the same time - well to say the least it was busy and a bit in disarray. I decided to headed to the Wendy's counter where I was met by Natasha and a big smile she took my order then my money and kept me company while my sandwiches were being prepared. After a little more than a few minutes my bounty arrived hot and fresh - my double cheeseburger was still hot and so delicious, this may have been the best Wendy's sandwich I've ever had bar none, even taking into consideration I was famished this Turkey Lake Service Plaza Wendy's Burger was just what I needed - I think Dave Thomas is probably looking down smiling and his infamous daughter Melinda Lou "Wendy" Thomas-Morse is still breaking the bank. The Turkey Lake rest stop has both north and south bound entrances. It is named after nearby Turkey lake which contains Bill Frederick Park. Food options here include vending machines, Dunkin Donuts, KFC, Nathans, Nature's Table, Villa Pizza, and Wendy's. There is the typical Sunshine market where you can pick up your sundries. Of course there are restrooms which is why you likely stopped as well as a picnic area. You can stock up on your tourist brochures which every kid likes to do in anticipation of fun destinations on a road trip. There is also expensive gas to refuel your vehicle. Normally I prefer a turnpike rest area to the ones on I-95. The reason for my one star is they don't require masks even though there are recommendations to wear one on the door. How can you not require masks at a place that has people coming through from all parts of Florida? I would like to note that the workers inside are wearing masks. Every day the number of cases of Covid is rising in Florida as is the death rate. It was upsetting to see hardly anyone walking in with a mask. No thanks. I don't want to be standing next to other non mask wearing people in the tight confines of the bathroom. Shame on the transportation authorities for not requiring masks for people entering the building. The more open plans of the I-95 bathroom rest areas is a better bet right now. The only turkeys I saw here today were the selfish non mask wearing people. Let's get it together Florida because it is going to take all of us.

I was told it was a difference in the price which I had paid two days earlier I asked why was the price different the manager Jackie Mendez came out and told me it was because I had asked for a full scoop rice I work in a restaurant. The scoop was only 2 ounces. She proceeded to take the container from me and go scoop out a half an ounce of rice and I said wow just give me my food. Let me pay for it she told me I had an attitude and had the right to refuse service once I said do whatever you need to do she canceled my order, not only that once I asked for a corporate number or regional number I was given the wrong number

We had one sad gas station that looks like it should be condemned with ridiculously high gas prices. Now there is a bright and shiny new one stop convenience store. AND it's open 24 hours a day. The food offered is amazing with a COFFEE BAR!, PIZZA!, chicken, hot and cold sandwiches, a hot dog roller grill spinning 24-7, a frozen yogurt buffet, an enormous candy selection and all the chips and snacks you could ever want. The coolers are huge and have all the beverages. There is also a fountain area with sodas and frozen concocts. The restrooms are sparkling clean. There's an indoor and outdoor seating area and a complete truck stop with diesel pumps and scales. The staff is always friendly and goes over and above to make travelers and locals feel welcome.

I had no interaction with the staff since I paid at the pump. There was a lot of traffic in and out of the parking lot, it seems this location is a very popular destination, I'm sure during peak travel hours this place could become quite congested...

I will say their prices are generally average and reasonable, but it's almost always a madhouse. The machines never have receipt paper- which luckily I never want a receipt, but it's always saying to go inside for one. One day recently we went and the entire place was roped off and closed, yet they had the sign on with gas prices. They should have turned them off. I think some of the issues they have here are again, related to being the only station within 10-15 minutes of the area, but being that it is this busy, they definitely need to better care for their machines and maybe even better design getting in and out of the place.

A quick google search indicates this may be due to them not replacing the in-line filters. I've notified the staff multiple times and little to nothing seems to be done about the issue. Please fix your pumps.

Also worth noting, they honor the Shell Fuel Rewards program which provides additional discounts between 3 and 10 cents per gallon depending upon the frequency and type of purchases you've made using the card. My only criticism of this location was that the men's bathroom was pretty dirty. Frankly that may reflect more upon the male population than the gas station, but the staff should be paying more attention. I bought a bunch of Lotto tickets, so if I win, "ALL will be Forgiven" and I'll adjust this review to reflect my revised thinking! :)
