While it's often a routine stop when filling up, my latest visit took a turn for the worse due to an interaction with an attendant named Lexi or Alexis. She told me she was the manager or store director. Upon my arrival, I found myself reflecting on the state of the world, which has undeniably become a more dangerous and unsettling place in recent times. In what I thought was a casual conversation starter, I mentioned my concerns to Lexi. Instead of engaging in a constructive dialogue or offering words of understanding, Lexi launched into a vehement tirade about Charlie Kirk, expressing her opinions in a highly disrespectful manner. Her comments were not only inappropriate but also shocking. She went on to describe Kirk using extremely derogatory language and expressed gratitude that he was no longer living. Her vitriol was directed not just at him, but also at the impact of his death on his family, dismissively stating that his children were now without a father. This kind of discourse is not only rude but reflects a lack of empathy and basic decency. Feeling uncomfortable and taken aback by her harsh words, I tried to steer the conversation away from such a sensitive topic, explaining that I was late for work and needed to leave. Instead of recognizing my cues, Lexi continued her rant, showing no regard for my discomfort or my urgency to get back on the road. This experience left a sour taste in my mouth. A gas station should be a place of service and convenience, not a platform for rants filled with hate and disrespect. Lexi's unprofessional behavior not only tarnished my visit but also raised serious concerns about the environment at this Maverik location. It's hard to understand how someone with such a dismissive attitude towards others could be in a customer service role. I sincerely hope that higher management addresses this behavior because no customer should be subjected to uncomfortable and offensive discussions at a place meant for service. It's disheartening to think that conversations like the one I experienced can happen in any service-oriented setting. If I were to advise fellow customers, it would be to think twice before engaging in conversation with the attendants, as it could lead to a truly unpleasant experience as it did for me. Overall, I left the Maverik gas station feeling frustrated and disheartened, and I hope that future patrons will not have to endure a similar experience. As I read other reviews for this location it becomes apparent that Maverik has already been informed that Lexi (the store manager) is extremely rude and distasteful. At this point I can only assume Maverik does not care for their customers.

Being practically right on the Colorado River makes it an ideal stop before heading out on the water. What really sets this place apart is the customer service. Dana at the front counter is always friendly, upbeat, and welcoming. Being a Parker Safeway customer for over 30 years I have NEVER seen a pattern of promotional…read moreproduct discounts at Food City or Walmart which have regularly been in error in the favor of either store. However Safeway continues to NOT provide its customers many advertised item discounts to customers unless the customer carefully checks the receipts after every visit. Most people don't realize how narrow profit margins are in the Supermarket business. IF a certain amount of customers think the sale discount was applied Safeway makes up for narrow margins because items are not keyed into the pricing program always in the favor of SAFEWAY ! Recently I contested a discount not provided at the Customer Service counter. A manager scolded me in an authoritative manner saying, " you need to tell the checker that you want to enter your phone number in order to get the discount " ! I reminded the manager a customer should NEVER be responsible to provide or direct a Safeway employee. That is store managements job. Some checkers ask you to enter your number, others don't say anything. Walmart and Food City are straight forward and old school. Safeway uses every marketing trick in the bag to get YOUR $. I brought my Gmc Diesal truck here for an oil change on Monday August 5 , I had not been here with…read moremy truck since 2022 , the new owners are wonderful and took care of all my needs with my truck since, I got the oil changed , air filter replacement which was overdue and they also checked my cabin filter which had never been changed , the truck is a 2016 , it was filthy but thankfully now I am up to speed on everything , I appreciate the fact that they not only did the oil at a reasonable price but installed bot air and cabin filters without charging the crazy dealer prices , next time I need and oil change I will be headed here .
