Last night, I needed some beverages to keep me hydrated and happy. I did a search and found this…read moreCircle K near Oakville Place. I drove over here, which took four minutes. This store is part of an Esso gas station. It's an odd setup parking-wise. There are two parking spots to the right of the store. One is for those with a disability permit. The other is a regular parking spot. There are more parking spots on the opposite side of the gas station, behind the pumps, bordering the business on the other side. I didn't bother doing a stroll of Oakville and parked off to the side. Another man did the same thing. There are enough spots off to the side to merit making them parking spots. You can probably get five parking spots that way. I walked into the store and nearly got run over by a guy who obviously needed to use the washroom. I learned later that he was an airport taxi driver who had occupied the closest parking space by the store. Another man walked in and also needed to use the washroom. The woman at the counter let him know that the single stall washroom was taken. Man, this washroom is super popular! Maybe it was a bladder night for men. I went to get drinks. I got a couple of Pepsi drinks: Pepsi Zero and Diet Pepsi. There was a sale, so I took advantage of it. I also got a couple of small bags of Miss Vickie's chips. There was a deal happening at the store, too. The woman at the counter was helpful and nice. She scanned all my items. I scanned my PC Optimum card and then paid with a debit card. Done! I thanked her and hauled my items to my car. She wished me a great evening. The Pepsi products have come in handy today. I'm having one with my lunch. I also am enjoying the all-dressed-up chips. Delicious! It's a decent store. The snacks and drinks are great. (380)

Yesterday, I was looking for a Circle K store after running an errand near the Oakville-Mississauga…read moreborder. I did a search and found this one close to Erin Mills Shopping Centre. This Circle K is attached to an Esso gas station. Along with the Tim Hortons drive-thru and the car wash, everything takes up a lot of real estate. They are all spread out more than most with this setup. It's a busy business. There was a huge lineup at the Timmy's drive-thru that's a part of this Circle K. I squeaked by and pulled into a parking spot steps away from the door. Most gas pumps were occupied. The car wash was equally as busy. This Circle K-Esso combo is popular for at least two reasons. It's close to the mall. It's also close to highway 401, which was what I took eastbound to make another stop and ultimately head home. I had digital coupons to redeem. I headed inside and had no problem finding bottled water and peanuts. There was a mom-son duo ahead of me. The son seemed extremely indecisive as to what drinks he wanted to get. I saw him go back and forth four times before he settled on a single drink. I didn't mind the wait. Normally, I am taking a while to redeem my coupons. I felt good knowing that he took longer. It was finally my turn. The man at the counter was fine. Not friendly. Not mean. He seemed indifferent. I scanned all coupons. I then scanned my PC Optimum barcode off my phone, and then paid for my peanuts with my debit card. Done! I thanked the man. I got no response. I left the store. I feel like everyone keeps to themselves in this neighbourhood. I parked next to a car whose driver was asleep the entire time that I was here. Poor guy. He was out cold, likely colder than my bottled drinks. I'd drop by again. It had everything that I needed, with a bonus sleepyhead. (41)
