However, if you like something a little bit more up scale, they have a small Kitchen that makes a variety of sandwiches and tamales. I honestly cannot recall the last time we have gotten a new gas station in this community. It's a wellcome addition, and it's not as run down as all the others further down the road. The tamales were better than they had any right to be, considering they were literally roller food. They also have kitchen fresh pizzas, 2 slices for 5 bucks. That beats out other gas stations that has Hunt brothers. They also have your usual run of the mill variety of Cokes and Pepsi's, but we aint here to talk about that. We are here to talk about well above average roller food. I will sure as hell be back here for dinner when my wife is out oft town. As much as I'm enjoying Weigel's, I don't think she would share in my excitement for an evening out at a gas station for tamales, pizza, and pulled pork sandwiches.

This trip I fell in love with the Cherry Maple Beef Jerky as it's sweet and savory without being overly sweet, and the texture isn't too tough. I also really enjoyed the peach tea! A road trip stop somehow turns into a shopping expedition. We stopped at the Crossville location on our way to Nashville and accomplished the essentials: Glazed pecans. Barbecue. A case of water. Road snacks we probably didn't need but somehow couldn't live without. Mission accomplished. Now, compared to some of the giant Buc-ee's locations, this one feels a little smaller. It's still enormous by normal gas station standards, but in the Buc-ee's universe, it's more of a midsize SUV than a monster truck. One disappointment was that the fried chicken and burritos weren't being served during our visit. That's like showing up to a baseball game and finding out the home team has the day off. Still, it's hard to be too critical. The store was clean. The selection was huge. The bathrooms were spotless, as expected. And somehow I walked in for gas and left with enough snacks to survive a minor natural disaster. That's the Buc-ee's experience. Four stars. It was honestly disappointing and made me feel uncomfortable, especially noticing the difference in how customers were being treated. Thankfully, Kelly stepped up and showed what real customer service should look like. She was attentive, respectful, and made sure I was taken care of right away. If it weren't for Kelly, this review would have been very different. Management should take note, she's the standard of how customers should be treated.
