I stayed at the hotel next door for about a week and went to this gas station a few times early on…read morein my stay. I ended up walking the couple blocks to the other gas station for the duration of my week there. Every staff member I came into contact with was rude and snotty. Most gas stations have a penny cup in case someone goes a penny over on gas. Well I was 2cents short on my purchase and began to look around for the penny dish, couldn't find it, decided to ask the attendant and was harshly told "this is a business and businesses don't give away money!" My boyfriend was also scolded by an attendant who also escalated it into throwing the pack of cigarettes he had purchased at him and called him numerous names (that's assault if he really wanted to take it that far and call the police!). I went back into the station a few months later and was met with the same rude service (and the same workers I had the most issues with somehow still had their jobs) I was outraged!

I then immediately let the attendant know, she asked me if I hung the pump up and I told her yes because it's broken. She said well the mfunds should go back on your card. So I go to login to online banking nothing was showing. I go back into the store and informed her that my funds did not credit back to my account. She stated that there was nothing she could do I would have to come back tomorrow. I told her that I was currently on the clock and had my client with me and I need my gas today and asked to speak to her manager she ignored me in a store full of customers, so then I asked her for the corporate number and she would not give it to me. I then went outside looking on the doors and windows in hopes of finding a number as she would not provide me with one. I admit I did get annoyed and said that this is f?*$ng ridiculous

Their carriers don't deliver to the correct address, and when they do the package is often damaged. Complaints directed to Fedex go without any kind of QC/QA, bc they're a multi-billion dollar company & 'to hell with the customers'. Replacement product is often also delivered in the same manner. I've cancelled my club membership mainly bc Sam's doesn't give me a choice in shipping service, even though I'm paying for it. Too bad, bc I really like some of their Member's Mark products, but I don't have a club within a reasonable driving distance, and the cost of membership wouldn't be cost effective.

Nearly every other experience with Sams Club has been majorly disappointing however. The store itself seems to be poorly managed. The food court is an absolute joke, a couple of stale slices of plain pizza and weak hot dogs, when you can find it actually staffed and open during club hours. Nearly every time you check out there you have a line of full carts and a single friendly, but way over burdened receipt checker holding you hostage from exiting until she can verify your receipt and items you may be stealing. Costco also has the obligatory receipt screening but they manage the lines and service the customers. This is something this Decatur store refuses to do consistently. The goofy Sams Club tries to up-sell you to a premium member ship for the pleasure of being queued up like cattle waiting to be scrutinized. The checkout up-sells you EVERY DAMN TIME. WONT TAKE NO THANK YOU FOR AN ANSWER. The store is absent a pharmacy and every other Sams Club offering. The meat cases are nearly empty every day. You can't find USDA Prime beef there, they offer "Members Prime" instead seemingly trying to fool you into thinking you are getting better for your money when you are not. This seems downright deceptive to me. Costco puts this place to absolute shame and even though the closest one is 45 miles away, I maintain my membership there where you get real USDA Prime beef for the drive and all the other wonderful deals Kirkland brand negotiates for its Costco members. No more Sams for me. I cant justify two memberships and I like Costco even though its a drive once a month. Sams actually annoys me. So it goes by-by.

You were waiting very long lines, and usually one cashier will be trying to serve all the customers while the other cashier is outside smoking or sweeping the floor. Sometimes there are three cashiers and one will be smoking one is mopping the floor while there is a line all the way back to the freezers. I don't know if they're in a hurry to get out of there because it's the end of their shift or they just don't care about the line. But I would avoid this gas station between 5 and 7pm I live a block away but I will drive 3 miles so that I can actually get waited on quickly.
