Like everything else on High Street, getting in and out of this place during rush hour, or nearly any hour of the day can be a bit difficult, especially if you are traveling northbound. The store is clean and well lit, as are the outside areas, and the staff is friendly. They carry all the typical convenience store products, such as chips, coffee, energy drinks, and of course gasoline. I've never been to a Meijer before, so I can't say if they have a fuel loyalty program similar to Kroger or not. All in all, this place is a solid convenience store, but like most convenience stores, nothing to write home about.

I try to keep about a half a tank of gas in the car in case of an accident or a detour or other possible delays when traveling. I was looking for a station to get gasoline and saw that Meijer had gasoline for $2.67 a gallon! Traffic on Rt. 23 south is really crazy and getting into the the right lane to turn in was an adventure all by itself! But the adventure had a great ending.... gas for $2.67 a gallon! They also had chips and soda inside that I could grab and take with us after refueling. The people inside were very nice and quickly processed the order for my gas and snacks. This is likely a place where I will stop again on my way back to the north side after seeing my doctor in Lewis Ctr.

I picked up a bottle of juice labeled $1.99. I came to the register, and we made small talk, and I picked up two pieces of candy that she said were either 50 cents together or each. I handed her a $20, and she gave me $16 change. I asked about this difference, and she claimed the juice was now $2.99. I said that there was nothing that indicated this price whatsoever, but she didn't budge. I wanted to return it, and she said no refunds, and that she didn't care enough about this job to care about being fired. I said I wanted to speak to the manager, and she claimed to be the manager and that we were alone. Ultimately she told me to leave or she would call the police for trespassing, so I let her call the police. While the police were on the way, she set about changing the labels, which I made sure to record. When the police arrived, they agreed that this was an unfair turn of events while she spouted excuses about the Arabic owner not allowing refunds. Mysteriously, the Arabic owner then came out from the back and allowed the refund. She gave me my money back with a "get out of my store." Gladly. (She is a larger woman with dark hair and a large tattoo on both upper arms. If she is gone, all may be well.)

Stopped for some gas and to use the…read moretire pump as I have been monitoring tire pressure and my low tire indicator light keeps coming. For some reason, I have difficulties finding air pumps or at least working ones in this city. This location has a nice, newer machine but the card reader was down. Luckily, I just happened to have some quarters. Very nice station and easy access off of Northbound Sawmill Road. Fuel prices were average for the area. Would stop here again.

**CREDIT/DEBIT CARD SKIMMERS** I went in to fill up around…read more12 PM today (6/10/2022). The pump kiosk was malfunctioning, so I went inside to the gas station hub. I asked the cashier if she could put $20 into pump #3 (for reference, in the store, this is the register to the left of the rotating door in the counter). I was prompted to put in my debit card and bypass the pin, and went on my way having thought I paid $20 for gas. I check into my account 15 minutes later and see all the money in my checking account has gone, and there is a $55 charge from GetGo. I knew exactly what happened. The worst part is when I called they told me "I don't know what to do for you, call in the morning?" UNBELIEVABLE. How's this for an idea, go investigate and see what went wrong???? AVOID THIS GETGO THEY ARE CARD SKIMMERS
