I would think they could make some dough putting in gas pumps as the locals must not enjoy driving 30 miles west on SR14 to fill up. I've never paid much attention but there could be a card-lock place across the street for businesses that have a membership. Those tractors certainly gulp down a lot of diesel in a week's time. There used to be a ferry here that went over to Arlington, OR but it's long gone now. It was used frequently by the locals to fetch groceries across the river. In recent years the population of Roosevelt has increased dramatically after the town decided that they would build a landfill and welcome the trash from the Seattle area. Trains loaded with refuse keep truck drivers employed and busy hauling the containers up the hill to be emptied. Prior to the landfill, Roosevelt was little more than a whistle stop with a dive bar and a couple of other now derelict businesses. Food here is pretty decent these days as they are feeding local truckers who want and expect a hardy meal at a reasonable price. You'll find that here. Staff is very friendly. There's a little park and boat launch down the road (south) with picnic tables and a view of the river.

They have almost everything one would need. Need ice cream on a hot day? What about a machete...need that? Clean bathroom? Ice and drinks? They got all of that and more. The employees are welcoming and friendly. This place even comes with locals who sit in the "cafe" area to enjoy coffee and talk to travelers. A definite gem in Roosevelt.

Road warrior travel center is located just off of Highway 97, on lateral a road, and is indeed a drive-through convenience/travel center! these sorts of places were particularly awesome when Covid restrictions were in place, but remain phenomenal. When you just completed a kiddo basketball game, everybody is thirsty, but you really don't want to have everybody get out of the car to run inside. It's effectively a warehouse with a garage door that you drive into, one of the workers grabs any and everything your little heart desires, and then they ring you up. It takes about a quarter of the time as going into a convenience store, especially with family, and the folks working there are super nice! We don't get down this direction all that often, but I can guarantee that each time we do, this place is going to be on the list of spots to stop. It's fast, convenient, and just plain awesome!

Moved to Washington State and got Drivers License, 3 months later got my Hybrid DL, DMV punched my 3 month old DL stating it's valid for ID. Clerks turned me away, went across the street without issue. I also hate the POS system Circle K has. Scan my card, punch in my pin, then you get the stupid green button to finish purchase. My pin is my authorization. Technology is ment to make our lives easier, yet Circle K can F up simple efficiency. This location also has crappy hot coco machine... just gives hot water. Just go across the street to Royal, brand new coco and coffee machines.
