So be on your A game upon entering because I almost got hit pulling in & while I was leaving. But my lack of enthusiastic stars is due to the store itself, I used self check-out so I can't fairly rate the staffs customer service. However, this is a very dated store compared to the more up-to-date Market Districts of even their Stow location so variety is limited to some degree. On a positive note, (again compared to Stow or Solon) the salads in the deli actually looked fresh instead of dried out or visually unappealing. Yet the annoying flying gnats that were regurgitating on my dreams of a fresh maple doughnut was a downer. As for organic, other than a small section of produce there wasn't much to find. The same goes for their Gluten-free selection (which is much pricer than Seven Grains which is across the street). And they definitely didn't have enough cashiers or self check-outs to accommodate the large crowd... just needs a little face lift is all.

You have to visit a "State Store" for that? I understand that buying alcohol on Sundays can get tricky too. Weird laws in Ohio, but whatever. Outside of that, it was a perfectly normal grocery store with all of the regular grocery store stuff. Meat, produce, deli, even a pharmacy. Service was friendly. We found that in general the Ohio locals were friendly and welcoming - even to us California folks. If I were to compare Giant Eagle to a California chain, I'd lean towards it being more like Food 4 Less than Vons.

We have found that there is a lot of fresh product including fruits, veges, meats, cheese, the bakery (omg their different breads are so good!), & a wide selection of fresh made meals. Since we do most of our shopping there, we get a lot of fuel points and they add up fast! We have collected over a dollar off per gallon several times!

On top of that There was a guy yelling in a different language (only mentioned to distinguish who the employee was) at some person on speaker phone who was also yelling the entire time. I had to repeat one question legitimately three separate times because he was too focused on listening to what the other person was screaming on the other line. They were clearly in a fight but work is not the time or place for that. I felt like i was the rude one for interrupting their conversation it was so intense and that shouldn't be the case. It is small, housing only about 6 pumps. Payments: When trying to pay for gas I attempted to use my debit as credit but unfortunately the pump would not allow it and instead required my PIN number in order to process the transaction. That's a no for me!! Never am I putting my pin in at a pump! I elected to pay inside instead. Minus one star for this inconvenience. Service: I have always been greeted by kind cashiers who communicate lovingly. Even the males. So if you're looking for a quick place to get gas just stop here, they will get you together!
