I specifically told him that I was doing 2 separate purchases he said ok!! I already had my items on the counter for the 1st purchase and was getting a soda for the second purchase! I asked him the prices of a 1 ltr soda and and a 2 ltr soda he said I dont know?? How are you a owner but dont know your prices!? Any how he rang up the 1st purchase and I asked him for a receipt since the purchase was for my client and I needed 1.... but he said he couldn't give me 1 because he already started to ring up the 2nd purchase. I needed one more thing from produce so I hurried- another announcement at 7:02 said to "stop shopping- we are closed" I grabbed my last item and went up front. By 7:03, I was already being checked out. And yet the reaction from staff was... unbelievable. There were several employees standing at the front just staring at me--clearly irritated, like I'd personally ruined their evening. It was three minutes past closing. Not 30. Not 15. Three. Then it somehow got worse. They were out of bags (understandable), so I asked if I could use the hand basket to carry my items to my car, which was literally parked right in front of the doors to the store. I was told no, "these baskets cant leave the store"--and that I needed to go outside and get a cart instead. So I had to run out, grab a cart, and come back in... while the entire staff stood there watching me. There must have been 6 or 7 employees glaring at me with dirty looks like I had insulted them personally. The older checker was grumpy and rude, but honestly the whole team contributed to making the experience feel hostile and unwelcoming. I completely understand wanting to close on time. But if ringing someone up at 7:03 feels like a crisis to your staff, that's a management issue--not a customer problem. Also- why not sell reusable bags if you run out of bags so often? When I asked the young blonde girl to just add my new product to the same bag, she responded by asking me if I had paid for what was in the bag. I responded Yes.
