For $1 admission, you can discover a treasure trove of goodies, antiques, and even some junky finds (what one person considers junk, another might consider a treasure!). On a good day, the flea fair is full of vendors and people to sell their items. Last week, they had to turn away vendors because they ran out of spots. The drive-in concession stand is open, though they don't have breakfast food options I could see. Still, it's a good option if you're planning to spend the whole day there. The flea fair runs from 6 AM - 2 PM on Sundays, so it's best to get there early, as it tends to fill up quickly on nice days. Also, keep in mind that bad weather days might mean fewer vendors, so plan accordingly. There is also no indoor flea market option. I highly recommend this flea fair; I always leave with something whenever I go.

WOW! I loved walking around the Freeland Marketplace last weekend! What a treat and I came away…read morewith buying so many items for my place! Visiting here brought back so many memories of the time when I was a child growing up in the backwoods and my father would take us to the local farmer's market. Freeland is a year-round indoor/outdoor farmer's and flea market. There are fresh seasonal produce, imported foods and specialty craft and gift items that are handmade and grown from the local PA farmers! The best part is that it's all under one roof! When I was there, I found out that on Sept. 11 - 12, 2021, they will be holding their first WW2 weekend! I plan on returning and stepping back in time to the WWII years and speaking with the Allies and Axis re-enactors and learning more about their displays. I'll also bring my kids because there will be tons of activities for them to learn from! My father was in the 87th Infantry Division and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. I think this would be an excellent opportunity for my kids to learn about their grandfather! I also found out that there will be mounted Wehrmacht, a US Field evacuation hospital, army motorcycles and jeeps, and even the Salvation Army Club car and so much more! The Valor Clinic Foundation will be on hand with their information on their mission along with book authors, the 91st Infantry/5th Army, the Russian 9thGuard, the German Luftwaffe, and home-front Victory displays. There will be a US Army photographer, WWII Christmas displays, and the 5th Rangers will all be there! I am so excited and look forward to being there with the kids again especially to meet Sarah Jane Sands - a true legend!

i'll admit, i don't go here nearly as much as i used to, but i really do like this place. parking…read morecan be a little annoying, and sometimes you leave from a visit without buying anything, but that's the only down side. usually there's plenty of vendors here with cool stuff, and if you see something you like, buy it while you can, because i've made the mistake before of waiting for a week and then the item sold before i could buy it. i'm really into local history, so that's what i search for when i come here. i've found some great stuff, like old soda bottles made in binghamton, a historic calendar, cool postcards, old framed pictures of the Triplets baseball team, and also some big pictures of old binghamton brewery ads! i've also found plenty of non-binghamton related books here that i enjoyed as well, and also an old Twilight Zone magazine! it's definitely worth a trip on a sunday morning, and if you get hungry then the snack stand is totally worth a visit.

On Route 28 in Arkville, NY, hubs and I have found great Magic antique+vintage pieces at a serious bargain. These folks have been here as long as I've been coming up to the Catskills when the entire field was FILLED elbow-deep with vendors. They've dwindled over the years and you can count the stalls with your hand now. Regardless, spend a few solid hours just browsing through what they have because you'll find a piece or two that'll catch your eye with the limited supply. One particular vendor name Lou- who we've purchased from- used to have loads of vintage pieces- and somehow sold commercial cleaning supplies (brand new) for cheap. Bizarre mix for an outdoor flea market- but it has worked. Another vendor who we met on a Sunday name Federika(sp?) sold me a $30 heavy-a-f*ck mirror that I couldn't pass up. I also couldn't haggle with that. For the poundage on it, I swore it was at least $75 or more. Oh, and bring cash- because these folks most likely, not have a Square.

Several stalls/areas packed to the ceiling and unable to look/purchase. Poor lighting in most of the places too. The second warehouse space seemed even more chaotic (the one to the right as you're facing them from the parking area). Lots of outdoor equipment/parts between the two and in the second warehouse too. It all depends on what you're looking for. The heavy heavy cigarette smoke within everything inside became pretty stifling as I walked through- esp the second one. A couple of open doors on the front and side does not help, nor did a few fans. I had to get home and shower and wash everything and even then I could still smell it. I do not recommend if you're an asthmatic.
