This is my favorite hardware store in town. It's not as massive as some of the other chains (or…read moreeven as big as some of the other Ace locations); however, it always seems to have what I need--and a great deal more. The people who work here are incredibly friendly and helpful. At most other places, it's hard to flag down an employee to help you; here, they'll ask if they can help you find something particular as soon as you walk in the door. Even if you're not positive exactly what you're looking for, they'll work with you to find the right thing. In addition, they have really great prices. Many things are comparable to other places, but there are a few items (like furnace filters) where Ace has the lowest price for the quality. It really feels like a neighborhood hardware store, and I'm always glad when I have to stop by.

You're losing traction by the minute. I can say old lady because I am one and I sure don't act like that at work or anywhere else for that matter. And Life is hard enough, nobody needs that crap. The vibe in that store is sooo negative. There are tons of places to get CHEAPER propane but it ran out while we were grilling and we live closer to here. This is ridiculous. It takes 3 minutes, if that. That guy is never helpful. Every employee was posted up at the front door, jacking around waiting to go home. If you can't help people with all your services, close early. You have everything overpriced but we've been coming here for decades, loyal as we can be. Soooo done with this nonsense. I'm still in your parking lot by the propane and you're still open. What a waste of time.

Don't take your window screens here to be fixed... they don't know what they are doing at all!…read moreThought I could trust them to screen up one frame last season and it took me a while to put it back in since winter hit and we didn't open the windows. Now that it's getting warm and put the screen in, they put the screen in so tight in the frame that the sides are pulled away from the window on both sides and it is bowed, leaving a huge gap on each side. For $40+, I would've expected it to be perfect, but now that I mistakenly "assumed" it would be ok when I put it up in the spring, I no longer have my receipt, so $40 down the drain and mosquitos and other flying insects are coming in through the gaps. Kicking myself for not doing it myself as it's less than $15 for the kit! Will never trust these people to fix my screens again! I guess there's no one to be upset with but myself cause you know what happen when you "assume" things!

The rudest customer service I have ever experienced. The supervisor, Tim Anderson, scoffed at me,…read morerolled his eyes at me, and was unapologetic, unhelpful, and condescending. I had two copies of a key to a padlock made. The Ace-Hardware employee used the wrong key-model when cutting it so the two key copies did not work. This forced my team lead the next day to cut our lock because the Ace-made copy did not work. That's fine, I understand that the Ace key-cutter made a mistake. It happens. Ace's policy is they guarantee their key copies so I went back and, as a conflict resolution, asked if I could get a padlock since their key copies did not work, despite the fact that the original key (which I brought along with the cut padlock) still opened the padlock fine. Mr. Tim scoffed, said "That's a LOT" and when I showed him that the old key still worked, blamed the padlock and said "see how old and not easy to open it is?". When I pointed out that the cut padlock did in fact, still open with the original key, but did NOT open with the Ace-made copies, he did not apologize or take any accountability. He rolled his eyes and said "I didn't sell you that lock, I sold you a key" in an extremely condescending and dismissive tone. Two key copies cost 6$ each, and a new lock cost 12$ each. For the exact same amount of money lost for Ace Hardware, he could have completely resolved the issue and had a customer leave happy. The problem isn't the keys, or the lock. The problem was the way the supervisor, who is tasked with handling customer service resolution in a professional manner, was dismissive, condescending, rude, and took no accountability for the mistake.

My first time picking up I provided the name of the person on the order and showed the order in the delivery app to the clerk, but the gal refused to provide service without a specific type of order #. I gave her the order # from the app but all she would say is "I don't have order #'s like that"--would have been so helpful for her to say, "Hey, our orders have 9 alphanumeric digits" (or something like that), so I could try to look through the different screens in the app to hopefully find what she needed, but NOPE--she couldn't be bothered to provide me with service. Didn't provide any help navigating my first pickup whatsoever and I ultimately had to cancel the delivery with the 3rd party delivery app's support team. That means that customer didn't get their order on time, if at all due to the possibility of the app cancelling the delivery completely upon word of the driver. If you're a customer who uses Uber/Doordash/etc. to deliver to your doorstep from this store, please understand how poorly your delivery drivers could be treated at this store and tip appropriately for good karma...or at least don't order same-day delivery from Home Depot due to their unacceptable staff behavior. No other company's store employees have been so unhelpful to me.

This is an update to my original post-…read more Original post- I was raised that if you break something, you replace it, and I live by that motto, but Bill's Rental are charging me for routine maintenance that should be done on their equipment and telling me that I damaged their equipment. I rented a 6x12, dual axle trailer with a max capacity of 4,000 lbs. I used the trailer for a roll of artificial turf that was 500 lbs. (see picture). After I return the trailer I was told that I caused damage. They send me pictures of a rusted and broken shackle strap (see picture). Anyone that knows trailers will tell you that these need to be replaced for routine maintenance or need replaced if someone puts too much weight in the trailer. The damage waiver that we pay covers routine maintenance and wear and tear but they are claiming that I caused the damage. There is no other damage to the trailer. I'm questioning this extra bill of $430 that they are hitting me with and Brian (downtown store manager) tells me they are going to send me to collections and that I won't be able to rent from them again. That's where I stand now. Still trying to resolve this issue I called back to talk to someone higher than the manager and I'm waiting to hear back from Hunter. Update- After multiple calls to try and resolve this, I get a call from Brian. He said that it was determined that the damage was due to wear and tear and that I do not owe them anything, and that I can rent from them again. While I am relieved that I do not have to deal with collections, I am still not satisfied with the way they handled this situation. They were quick to place blame and were quick to say they were sending me to collections by me just questioning these extra charges. There was no apology offered for the misunderstanding. Oh well, this was just a lesson about where to take my business in the future.

4 terrible deliveries experiences Lowe's has a third-party…read morecompany that does deliveries and admitted today after fourth botched delivery that they have no ability to hold the delivery company accountable 1)dryer delivery not handled as promised and they left without delivering my dryer (several extra costs to me as you have to give them a 12 hour window and I was not working today to get this delivered, etc.) 2) dishwasher came damaged 3) washing machine was jostled so much that the door was broken (earlier delivery than the dryer and I still don't have a dryer) 4) refrigerator came and they were going to not deliver it saying it wouldn't fit through the kitchen door, which is the same width as the front door that they were able to get it in just fine. But before they bring it they tried to not have it delivered and have me just except that I had to get a different refrigerator to fit through the kitchen door. So, I grabbed tools and took off the door and door frame. Then they brought the fridge came in just fine through both doors and I certainly did not need to do remove anything but at least I have a refrigerator and then extra work to put the door back together. Customer service isn't great and I just can't buy from Lowes ever again I had also paid thousands for them to put my fence in and the polls are too far apart for the gate to latch, they did not put in a tension line at the bottom and the fence didn't follow along the ground so there was some big gaps that we're way off the ground. Someone from the 's office came out and agreed to was not done well at all. The only thing they did was put another gate latch at the bottom, which was ridiculous because it was exactly the same as the one above, and when the polls are too far apart, neither of them work and the bottom one keeps hitting me in the shins. I have to tie my gate shut so that my dogs don't get out and untie it every time I want to go in and out the gate. This is a ridiculous unnecessary hassle when I paid for it to be professionally installed. I've had to buy stuff to go along the bottom of the fencing and more. Complaints go nowhere.

Warning! Do not shop at the N.Nevada Lowe's in Colorado Springs! They delivered my new…read morerefrigerator and failed to take the door hinges off and jammed the old refrigerator out the narrow doorway and forced the new refrigerator back through the narrow doorway. We noticed that they had dented my new refrigerator. The delivery driver texted a photo of the damage to Lowe's and asked me to call the store. Over the past 5 days, I have called the store 15 times and was assured that Daniel the store manager would call me back to arrange the exchange of the refrigerator. No one has called me back. The 800 customer service number is equally worthless. **Save yourself the trouble and shop at Home Depot.
