We had our wedding reception at Circa and could not have been happier with how it turned out! Hanni/Kelsey were both great. We worked with Hanni from about November through July. Then we worked with Kelsey the rest of the time and on the day of our wedding Sept 30th. Hanni was extremely responsive, professional, and knowledgeable about everything with planning our reception at Circa. Kelsey was super helpful - we live in Colorado and when we arrived for the wedding the week beforehand she let us come to Circa at our convenience to drop off decor (2 different times). She made herself available at all hours of the day to me and provided me her cell number in case of emergencies the week of the wedding/leading up to it. Kelsey and the Circa team set everything up for us and the place looked AMAZING - everything was beautiful! They took our decor and put it all together in a way that was perfect. They followed our timeline perfectly all night and worked with our DJ/photographer to make sure each part of the night went smoothly. Kelsey came up to us throughout the night to see if we needed anything (if we did, she was quick to execute). At the end of the night Kelsey and the team put all our decor back in boxes and packed it up for us, which was EXTREMELY helpful!! They really did not miss the mark anywhere - everything was so so perfect thanks to them! I couldn't say enough good things about Circa, Kelsey, and Hanni. The package deal they offer for weddings is amazing as well. I recommend Circa to anyone getting married - you won't regret it! They make the process so easy and the wedding so beautiful/elegant. ***Side note: we were worried about it being a tight fit since we had ~160 guests but so many people told us this actually was a great part of the reception - being in a smaller space forced everyone to be together and mingle... I'm not sure why anyone would choose NOT to have their event here. The space is incredible and the food- even the cheaper menu items- is great. I've hosted a Christmas party here and also attended three events hosted by others. The space is gorgeous- tastefully elegant in a way that can work as a finished product or a neutral canvas to which you can add your own personal touch. The upstairs area works great for a lounge/retreat from the main event, as well as serves as a great place to set up a photo booth. The staff is also incredibly helpful. The event I planned for work had an extremely tight budget, but everyone at Circa worked with us to make sure those attending would feel special and impressed. They were also polite, courteous, and informative through several rounds of questions and changes in plans on our end. I am so happy to have an event space like this in Kenosha, particularly one with such fine catering. read more

This venue is hands down, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. From the moment that I got engaged, I was knee deep in on-line reviews of different venues, pricing, packages, etc... At a certain point, I was convinced that I was going to get married and have our reception in an 80's explosion of pipe and drape. Many of the venues in the Chicagoland area just deflated me. If I could afford it, I didn't like the ambiance, and if I DID like the ambiance, I couldn't afford it. One night, my fiance and I happened to come across Circa on Seventh online... I can't even tell you how we happened upon it. I honestly don't know. Divine intervention? Probably. We set up an appointment to see the venue, which we had learned was practically brand NEW, and from the moment we walked in and met with Hanni, I knew that was the place! It was soft and romantic, warm and inviting. It had a vintage feel to it, but didn't look old and outdated. As soon as we walked out, we saw another couple walking and and my Fiance and I looked at each other and had a mini freak out - only assuming that knowing our luck, they probably wanted the same date that we wanted. So that night, we reached back out to Hanni and BOOKED IT. I am so glad that we did. We now have been married for 3 weeks and I am still getting compliments from our guests. Hanni and her team went above and beyond to ensure that we were taken care of. From bringing appetizers to the Wedding Suite while my dress was being bustled, to bringing more aps and drinks to the head table because she knew we were starving. The table service from our Guest's perspective was impressive as well. Many of our friends and family were impressed that no one had to wait very long for food. Everyone was grateful for that! The food itself was incredible and again, I had so many compliments from our guests. On top of it all, the setting was just AMAZING. The Service was TOP NOTCH. Even when my now Husband wanted to bring in a craft beer, Hanni worked with a local brewer to ensure it happened. I couldn't have asked for a better venue, or better people to work with on the most important, and possibly most stressful day of my life. They made it easy, and everything turned out PERFECT. I was here for a wedding recently. It's a lovely space and it's nice that you can do everything, from service, to reception all in one place. Somewhat frustrated with the dinner service. 1st they didnt check with our table as to who wanted vegetarian, or the normal plate, but they checked other tables around us. Also they attempted to just serve my wife, and then me a vegetarian plate when thats what neither of us requested. So i was served last, after everyone. My food came out with over done chicken and cold steak. But i guess, as an afterthought, thats what happens. Oh well, the event was about the people, not just the food. read more

Excellent Experience! We hosted a graduation party at their Kenosha location this past weekend. The entire planning process from beginning to end was extremely easy. Their down to earth, yet professional staff listened well, made me feel like they understood our needs, and delivered exactly what we'd expected on the big day. The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff, as expected, continued to provide top-notch customer service. We had our wedding reception at Circa on August 2, 2014 and the venue was amazing! I live in California so I was only able to come into the venue in person twice during the entire planning process. At our initial booking Hanni was straightforward and thorough. We had narrowed it down to Circa or the Marriott in Racine and ended up choosing Circa because the venue itself is so much prettier than anything else we had seen and the staff at Circa was much more organised than that of the Marriott. We had 150 guests at the wedding, 100 were seated on the main floor, and 50 were seated on the balcony. Everyone had plenty of space and we were able to keep the dance floor open all night. When I first saw the venue I was afraid that the dance floor would be too small, but it was actually the perfect size. We had a ton of people dancing all night and everyone had enough space. It got hot of course, but not too hot, especially compared to most weddings I've been to. Circa is also really close to the Best Western Harbor-side which was really nice for us because a lot of our guests were from out of town. Fair warning- the hotel itself is really nice but the staff is really difficult to work with. The day before our wedding we came into town with boxes upon boxes of decorations for the reception. Hanni and her staff were available to accommodate us leaving decorations at the venue the night before so that set up would be easier on our wedding day. Hanni even took the time to introduce me to some of the staff that would be helping at the wedding. Throughout the wedding the staff was really accommodating. It was always easy to find someone to help and they always responded right away. We had waiters coming up to the head table bringing us drinks so we didn't have to worry about standing in line. Staff notified me before they served the cakes so I could see how pretty the buffet room had been decorated. We did not need to ask them to do things like bring the cake back to the kitchen or change the lighting for dancing; they kept a really close eye on everything and responded as needed. We had a friend of ours DJ our wedding from his laptop. We rented speakers and the sound was great. There was no strange feedback or echo. We also used Circa's built in speakers for the Cocktail Hour / Dinner music so it would not be really loud for the tables next to the rented speakers and that worked out pretty well. At first the music was too low and people told us that we should turn on some music :/ but the staff quickly turned up the music and it was fine after that. For our introductions we had the entire bridal party waiting in the Bridal suite upstairs during the cocktail hour and we were introduced right before the buffet opened. That actually worked really well. I was afraid that we might be cramped because the bridal party was 12 people in that room for an hour. But everyone had a spot to sit and it didn't get too hot. Terry, one of the wait-staff, made sure to bring plates of appetizers and campaign up to the suite so we could all enjoy the options we had chosen. We decided to keep the dance floor open and had guests seated on the balcony. This ended up working really well for us because we came out of the Bridal suite for introductions. Plus we had a lot of college and high school friends in attendance so they were happy to have their own section of the venue where they didn't have to worry about offending any of the older or younger guests. The only problem with having guests on the top floor is that they all need to stand up by the railing for speeches. This is not a problem for most guests, but I would not recommend putting people who might have trouble getting up stairs or standing for ~30 minutes up there. We did not have any problems at our wedding and I'm sure it's because the staff was being so proactive. The food was amazing; almost everyone went up for seconds and had there fill. The lighting and acoustics were great. The simple decor in the venue complemented my bright colors nicely. The dance floor was spacious and no one got too hot. And again, the staff was awesome. read more

Kelsey and her staff were so accommodating any little thing We needed done she was there for us. The whole staff from bus boys to Bartender they all made our family's feel welcome and comfortable. There are not enough good things that I can say about Circa on Seventh and the lovely staff that make it so wonderful! My husband and I booked Circa on Seventh as our venue for both the ceremony and reception for our October 2017 wedding. The physical space is absolutely stunning-- exposed brick, grand staircase, gorgeous bridal suite, buffet room, and intimate feeling. It was the perfect space for the number of people that attended our wedding. Kathy was extremely easy to work with. She was beyond helpful, very responsive to my many emails filled with questions, and so pleasant and friendly. The day of our wedding, the staff at Circa on Seventh paid attention to each and every detail and executed everything flawlessly. All of the food was fresh, warm, and plentiful for all of our guests. My husband and I had such a fun time going through all of the options available for h'orderves, salads, vegetables, potatoes, entrees, and late night food.Steve did such a great job carving the tenderloin for our guests-- he was friendly and efficient! My daughter and son-in-law hosted their wedding ceremony and reception at Circa and we couldn't be more pleased. From the planning stages to the packing of things at the end of the night and all the thousands of things in between, we experienced nothing less than professionalism and a great work ethic. We recently booked Circa on Seventh for our daughters July 2014 wedding. The first time we met with Hanni, I was completely confident that the reception was going to be a success. We had a unique situation where the Bride and Groom were from Texas, we live in Illinois, and were planning the wedding in Wisconsin. The venue is a remodeled, 100 year old beautiful movie theater. Not only was it beautifully decorated but they took pains keep as much of the original feel of the old building uncompromised. Because we had a long drive to even view the hall or bring reception items, I had to do a lot of the corresponding with Hanni via e-mail and phone. She never failed to respond to my questions and comments immediately and also gave some excellent suggestions to make the night more personal and elegant. She allowed us to come up a full week in advance, before massive amounts of family started to arrive, so that we could drop off centerpieces, candles, and many other specialty items in advance along with three pages of detailed instructions about where they all were to be placed. Hanni accepted my very large list with a smile and everything was exactly as the Bride and Groom wanted it to be. Since almost every one of the guests was from out of state, they also opened up the venue immediately after the ceremony so that the guests had somewhere to go during the waiting period before the reception was to take place. Since the family stayed behind for pictures, Hanni even put aside a tray of appetizers for us when we got there. The food was delicious, the venue, beautiful, the service and the entire staff impeccable! We did not have a single detail go wrong. I have, and will continue to, recommend Circa on Seventh to everyone for any event they are planning.
