Great relaxing place to go if you are looking for a nice park with a view of the city. This place is basically a park on top of a garage so you'll enter through the garage. Nice place to chill if you're in the area. They also have a bar area you can get drinks but you don't need to buy anything to stay here. They have some games like corn hole and you can bring dogs and have a picnic!

Came here on a Saturday to enjoy the summer weather and was quite shocked at the view that presented itself! It's quite unassuming while you're riding an elevator in an empty parking garage, but once you're at the top, it's worth the odd entrance. There is a beautiful view of the city, with shaded seating available alongside a sloped grassy area that many people were sitting on. They have great frozen drinks to quench your thirst on a hot summer day at an excellent price point. If you're looking for great views, great vibes and good drinks, definitely check out Cira Green!

Just a great place to come for a date. Came here again with my girlfriend. We brought with us some drinks, fried chicken, and snacks. It was such a good vibe. We came around sunset and there was a movie playing too. If you wanna have a picnic date in the area, and you don't care to be around other people, then you should come here.

Very nice atmosphere. Awesome view. Free to visit, not like some fancy rooftops where you have to pay just for your reservation. You can bring towels or a picnic and lay out. Super cute. They have a food and drink menu, not a byob location. I got the Rise & Shine cocktail which was basically an alcoholic jasmine green tea lemonade. It was good and refreshing. The drinks are made in bigh batches so they are somewhat unreliable. I had two of the same drinks, the first seemed way lighter and more tea heavy tasting while the second one was super lemonadey. They may need to be mixed better? Still good flavor. The big screen had obnoxious episodes of saved by the bell on the whole time we were there, not sure if it's always saved by the bell but I hate that show so major pass on chilling for the tv alone. Absolutely love the vibe tho - throwback TV is its own vibe. The view the view the view. It's absolutely beautiful. Visit on a nice day and just take it all in. :)

What a great place to go high atop of the city to catch breath taking views and go to just chill. We just went to hang out and check it out and caught some awesome clicks of the city (pics) . We went during the day so we didnt get to see all of the lights. Lots of people still around after working hanging out and having a picnic or even take pics (grad pics & other ones). Nice place to go IN the city while escaping the city (if that makes sense). You can bring your own picnic or eat at the restaurant that was there. They do do bag checks tho but looked like you could bring your own liquor. I highly recommend checking it out if you are around that area and just wanna hang out and relax. There are some games, and chairs, and tables there to use.

On a Sunday, late spring afternoon -- I grabbed my picnic blanket, book, & journal and headed to Cira Green's rooftop park. It was a nice day to just relax outside. I found street parking and used the meterUp Parking app while I was at the park to extend time (if needed). There's also a garage you can park in. The park is lovely to be on a building's 12th floor. Cira Green is a spacious sized area with flat surfaces, some hills to view the water/skylines, there's a tent (looks like it's used for events too; they were preparing for one when I was there), also chairs and tables to sit at, chairs to lay out and lounge, you can take in the scenery of the park from different angles or watch the film that's playing. There's also a section for dogs to play. The park had a good amount of people when I visited: many professional photographers and people taking pictures at the park, friends hanging out, good place for a date, a few kids were also there too. It was also comfortable to be at Cira Green solo! I ordered a burger, tots, and a pre-made cocktail from Sunset Social that was more decent than expected. They have a good selection of alcoholic beverages and food at this spot. Pretty much laid out and just enjoyed nature for a bit. Cira Green is pretty cool!

Wonderful rooftop space in the city! I was surprised to find this rooftop bar especially because you enter via the parking garage. It seems to be a popular spot for Upenn events but you can just come on your own without a reservation to grab a spot on their green. They have standard drinks like seltzers, wine, etc but they also had some frozen specials we were able to get during HH. We ended up grabbing a seat near the green space to get a view of the city but there are other chairs you can get as well. Awesome space to walk around and very unassuming to find a view like the one you find here! Come early as well so you can watch the sunset and the cotton candy skies.

Awesome public space in Philly with open seating and picnic options. If you have a chance to take a few minutes to hang out here, it's worth taking in the views and enjoying the space. There is also a giant screen and burger spot for those who may want more structured activities.

NOTES: (1) Parking lot is right below and costs $10 on Saturdays (2) They will search your bags as you enter Cira Green (3) Dogs are permitted Looking for a nice green space with a big screen while having the skyline view on the background? This is your place! I came here on a Saturday afternoon for a small gathering and wasn't sure what to expect. It was absolutely beautiful though. There was a lot of green space for you to sit and have a nice picnic. You can also grab a drink and snacks from the restaurant. They have clean bathrooms around the corner and the parking lot is below which is super convenient. At the time, they were playing Toy Story which was great! Everyone was taking pictures of the scenery which was stunning. Definitely recommend stopping by if you just want to relax and enjoy the nice weather.

I had so much fun. I was rolling down the hill with my students and we ate lunch picnic style. It brought back so many fun memories for me

A pretty & functional park in West Philadelphia. It is atop Cira Green on the 12th floor and open to the public. We went for a BBQ social event & enjoyed a couple of hours in the sun and cool breeze. It's pet friendly (enclosed space) & child friendly with activities and games. You can bring your own food & drink or purchase some from Sunset Social (drink prices are not for the faint hearted). What a nice oasis in the city.

Everyone is just out enjoying life: Kids playing basketball, friends having picnics, people playing tennis, others reading a book or taking a calm walk with their airpods in, dogs running around the dog park while their owners watch from the sidelines, etc. The kids playing basketball always gets me a little emotional because that used to be me and my friends before the responsibilities of adulthood caused my cortisol levels to go through the roof. All we cared about was playing basketball and having fun. It's like a little time portal to the past. The FMC tower watches over the park, reflecting the sky. Hard to rate an entire park this massive, but all things considered, after 5 years of traversing the trails here, this is an awesome park. Note that I live in U-City, so the fact that such a massive trail system exists in only a ~20 minute drive, depending on which part of the park I start in, is a blessing and keeps my sanity. Friends of Wissahickon does a great job maintaining trails and even expanding the system over the past few years. I don't think I've ever observed an unseemly part of the park. Definitely unseemly times of year like the snow thaw or the time between the trees dying and the snow falling, but otherwise, this park is beautiful all times of year. I've never had a hard time parking, never even had trouble with crowds even around the most popular trails (ex. Forbidden Drive). Even the bikers are friendly and patient here! Would strongly recommend not only visiting but coming back to keep exploring! I'm still finding new gems in this massive trail system.

What I've known about Devil's Pool is that it's been a popular hangout spot, especially for teens and young adults--swimming, drinking, smoking, etc. But I wasn't prepared for how disappointing the trail would be. At nearly every turn, there was trash--plastic bottles, wrappers, and even entire black garbage bags just left behind. The closer I got to Devil's Pool, the worse it got. There are clear signs asking visitors to take their trash with them, yet so many clearly don't. It's really disheartening to see such a beautiful natural space disrespected like that. Instead of feeling peaceful or connected to nature, it honestly felt a bit unsanitary and neglected. Wissahickon Park deserves better. If you visit, please respect the space and take out everything you bring in.
