My sister and visited this little shop on Monday after one of her check-ups. She is due in August but is trying to get an idea of what kinds of things she'd like to get for the baby. The store itself is darling, and I can see why my grandmothers and aunts and cousins like it so much. I apologize in advance for the ensuing rant. The shop itself is (at least) four star, but the experience was more like a two. The woman working there (who I imagine is an owner or at the very least a manager) was on the phone the entire time we were in there, about 20 minutes, talking to someone about her sales and how they stacked up to last year. Really? You have a pregnant woman and her sister in the store you could be talking to, selling to, doting on. You could talk to her about her registry. You could ask her if she has any questions, concerns. But instead, your customers just heard one side of a conversation about money, sales, numbers. What a customer service disaster. Maybe it was just because we weren't regulars? But how did she know we wouldn't become regulars? We probably didn't look like Oaktree money, but as this will be my parents' first grandchild, and my brother and my first foray into aunt/uncle territory, I imagine no cost will be spared on this baby. By the by, it's on sleepy Main Street Edmond. I have a hard time imagining that there aren't long spans of time when that place is completely empty of customers, just perfect for lengthy conversations about the private details of the coffers of ye old Cinnamon Bears, which I'm polite enough not to post specifics of here. I also took about ten pictures while we were in there. Not exactly a 'secret' that I might be some sort of reviewer. Maybe she didn't even notice? Honestly, it would have been less offensive if it had been a high school girl talking to her friends about the weekend; but a shopkeeper invested enough to know what sales were last year should know enough to have those conversations in private. read more

Adorable items, however some of the clothes are overpriced. This isn't just a clothing boutique however. There is an abundance of adorable toys and decorations for a nursery. My main annoyance was that I inquired about a JellyCat fuddlewuddle stuffed animal for my daughter. The women behind the register assured me it would be ordered, put my name on a list and told me I would be called when it came in. No call. I came in three weeks later to request one again, and same result. No call. It's a shame because they have adorable items (I would have bought decor later) but if they can't follow through with their customers then I'll have to stick to Amazon. I have no qualms about paying a few extra dollars when it comes to "mom and pop stores", but if their customer service is lacking then I'll save my time and money by ordering online. read more

Great independently-owned store with a super cute and wide selection of baby goods. Needed to put together a gift basket for an employee of my husband, and since she lives out-of-state, wanted to get her something Oklahoma-made. Cinnamon Bears totally has you covered! They have an awesome selection of baby clothes (primarily onesies) that are screen-printed by an Oklahoma woman - And they are ADORABLE. definitely not inexpensive ($22 (or $25?) for a onesie), but in line with mass-produced super-cute/ironic/hipster/music-loving baby clothes. They also have bibs made by an Oklahoma native, and a children's book authored by Oklahoma folks. So if you're looking to make a MIO (made in Oklahoma) gift basket, you'll do stellar here! The non-MIO goods are just as fantastic - Prices are definitely on the higher side (even their sales goods were pretty steep), but it's a fantastic shop where you can get all your baby-shower buying done in one stop (and I'm a total sucker for convenience). I will note there were 2 ladies working the Sat we stopped by and some might think they came off as ...how do I put this..? "Stiff"? Definitely NOT impolite, but definitely not your typical "ooohing" and "aaahing" and asking a million questions about everything baby /chatty-Kathy like person. I personally, greatly appreciated their demeanor. Others may not - Just a heads up. Anyhow, highly recommend Cinnamon Bears - Especially if you're looking for MIO goods! read more

It seems you have stopped carrying size 4 and up. I was in a few weeks ago to the new store. But only found baby clothing. When you were over on Broadway you carried a lot more larger sizes. Your staff stated you are targeting the baby and from what I could see all baby girl. Not too much boy . Would like to see you bring back your size 4 and larger. I do like the size of the new store it does have great potential. read more

I adore this store. It has everything you can think of for babies. If you are giving a baby shower gift you know you will find something exclusive here vs. going to Babies R Us, or Target. I love that they support shop local, and carry items from local businesses started by moms. I always enjoy giving gifts that I know new moms will love and won't receive duplicates of. I enjoy putting in the extra thought and shopping at specialty boutiques who have the best of baby items available! The prices are very reasonable and you know you are buying quality items. The shop owners were also very kind. read more

It seems like everyone I know is having kids these days, so I have had to buy my fair share of gifts for expectant mothers and baby birthdays. Cinnamon Bears is definitely the best place in Edmond to find these gifts. As a man with no children, I always feel out of place in these types of stores, but the owner has done a great job helping me, even when I walk in wearing my dirty work clothes and boots. I can basically tell her the occasion for which I am buying a gift, and she will show me several great options. I like to buy "green" products, and she has plenty of organic cotton and bamboo clothing to choose from. She also offers free gift wrapping, which is great for people like me who are terrible at making packages look nice. My friends have told me multiple times how much they like the products that I have bought from Cinnamon Bears. It's basically the only place I shop for baby-related items now. Avoid the strip malls and make a trip to downtown Edmond if you need anything for new mothers or babies. read more
