Old theater with older technology. Many of the seats are worn. The place is clean, but doesn't look it due to the advanced age. Family friendly with very low prices. Serves popcorn, hot dogs, pretzels, and candy. Sodas are craft sodas with real sugar. I enjoyed them. It is the only game in Huntsville, so the only other choice is to drive to Conroe for the movies where you will pay double the price for movie and snacks. read more

We saw Horizon with Kevin Costner, sound and picture was good, seats were comfortable and clean. With two medium drinks and a medium popcorn, the total was $21 ( this included the tickets!) If you live in Huntsville or neighboring small towns, this place is the spot for watching new movies in theaters. My family and I come here often (especially my parents!) and enjoy their selections of snacks, such as cinnamon pretzels, hotdogs, popcorn, and chips and queso with soda. As you can see from its pictures online, it's an older establishment, but you get the ticket and the snacks cheaper while enjoying a new movie! Nothing can beat that. Theater is too dated and Huntsville needs some competition. For a town with a state university, this is sad. Seating is prehistoric! Local residents should not have to leave the area to find entertainment and I feel this place could do so much better by renovating. Speaker systems are terrible. Food is lower cost than other theaters, but the serving size explains why. I think the staff is very respectful and friendly, so I won't go to 1 star because they deserve to be thanked for their effort. Nice enough to take younger kids to get out of the house but not a good movie experience by any means. And they open too late for matinees. read more

We wanted to see Thor love & thunder and happened to be in Huntsville and thought well there IS a movie theater here so... mercy. They don't accept cards for tickets which is taken from a person at the window. Luckily my friend had cash. I'm told there is an atm inside . Umm ok. I said which time I wanted and he gave us tickets for the next showing in 30 minutes. I'm standing there about to inquire about a seating chart & it dawns on me. No. Seating. Chart. Well I grab some cash & we decide to get popcorn & drinks. I'm looking for the area to get popcorn salt/butter/napkins/drinks etc a-n-d yep yep yep I had to yank my brain back to the 70's & accept this tiny container of popcorn. Since we weren't asked if we even wanted butter or salt we did not even know it was an option. There is a small table that has a few things on it like straws and a paper towel dispenser in place of napkins. We walk into and choose our seat & Ali tries her drink and says this does taste right. I said it's probably just low on carbonation. She says no it doesn't taste right, try it! I try it. She's right. It tastes off. I asked her," you want me to get you something else?" Yes plz. I go back to the counter & as I'm standing behind this family I hear the lady ask them if they want butter. ‍ She put some on. Dad asked for more but she said that was all she could put on. Hmm. Didn't know imitation butter was regulated but ok. I step up and said my friend thinks her Dr Pepper tastes funny. The employee says oh that's because we serve Dr Dr not Dr Pepper. well color me stupid for not nudging me friend to read the sign. I'm glad I had bought bottled water. I asked for a Spritz. The lady starts to take the lid off and says I need to hold on to the lid & straw which flicked brown drops on my white blouse which delighted me to no end. She washes out the cup & refills with Spritz & gives it to me without a lid & I walk to the table to get a fresh lid & straw. I'm pretty fed up by now. Go back in & sit down. Now mind you these are not the reclining movie seats with individual swivel trays & foot rests that extend out for comfort that I'm used to. These are like bucket seats. This man walks in and says the movie is about to start. When it's over to please leave our arm rests down and take our trash to the trash can. Our movie ended the same time as another movie so it was pretty crowded in the tiny decrepit looking bathroom. Rather bad timing considering how small the lobby & bathrooms are overall. I get it. It's a small town but wow. It's pretty much the same price at a real theater so why not upgrade ? read more

This is good inexpensive/reasonable theatre with eight to ten screens, clean, comfortable seats, good sound, etc.. In my opinion, theatre is not managed properly. Yesterday, Saturday, we went to watch an afternoon movie: no hot dogs available to purchase, poor selection of candies, they no longer offer standard beverages (Diet/Regular Coke, etc.) they offer Cane Sugar drinks that don't taste well. They had 10+ employees working with very few patrons for them to service during heat of the afternoon. Reduce expenses by controlling number of employees, and increase quality of Concessions to include availability of hot dogs. Please don't drive this theatre into the ground. read more

The theater hasn't changed since I've been here. I understand the prices are cheap, but you quite literally get what you pay for. The picture quality isn't great, the sound quality is fuzzy. The concessions food and drinks aren't worth the prices, and they don't mention that butter is an option. It's cash only which is great for people that always carry on them, and there is an ATM but you still have to worry about the extra fees. Between sticky floors, poor video quality, I would rather drive to college station or the woodlands for a more than decent movie experience. Really hoping Huntsville gets a better movie theater in the future, until then, I'll continue to spend the extra money to go somewhere nice. read more

Excellent small-town theater with great prices. I love large movie theaters, but the prices at the Huntsville Cinestar are unbeatable. I can take my kids with me and pay less than it would cost for just myself at a large theater. Matinee tickets are $3. General admission is $5 and $3 for children. The food is cheap as well. The theater is also very clean, and the sound and visual quality is great. read more

It's a little place but the prizes can't be beat! Despite the cheap prices the theatre is fairly clean.. I've seen bigger place that are messy! 3.00/person and affordable snack price! Only complaint is they only accept CASH! It's a small inconvenience... but it's not too bad just remember to take cash and all is good! My only complaint is the fact that because it's so inexpensive everyone brings their kids and not one takes them out when they start crying... it that's not the theaters but it would be nice if the workers at the theatre would just give a quick reminder to the parents to respect the other patrons! We went to see the "US 6" at Huntsville Cinema 10 at Screen No.9, tonight (April 27, 2019 Saturday), we were about +/- .05 minutes into the movie, our toddler daughter had an accident, she started and vomited onto my wife (her mother) and then once again. Of course, we had no choice on the matter, but to leave the theater immediately. We notified someone (young man, whom my wife spoke to) at the concession stand, she let the personnel know of the situation (the mess/vomit, that need to be clean and asked if we could have replacement movie tickets for another day/night, the response was NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If Management, reads this YELP Post, please train your movie theater personnel, on how handle all types scenarios and/or situations like ours, thank you and a have a great year. read more

It is for sure hard to beat the prices of this place. $3.00 for a movie, that is awesome. The food is very reasonably priced as well. The seats are comfortable and everything is clean and well kept. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The reason it will not be getting 5 stars is they are not very vigilant in regulating some basic movie etiquette. They really don't stop people from using their phones during movies or even have any signs saying they discourage it. I have been to several movies where there are crying/screaming babies in the theater with me and nothing was done. If a child becomes disruptive the parents should take the child outside the theater as a respect for the other patrons and if the parents won't do this voluntary then an employee should come and request they do so. read more

This is your classic small town movie theater. The tickets are $3-5!!! For $20 you can take a date out and both of you can so the movie AND have treats from the concession stand! The drinks, candy, popcorn, and food are very fairly priced! The theaters are smaller and the seats are descent with stadium seating. I drive up to Huntsville from Conroe just for the small town atmosphere and pricing. BONUS- They do not allow babies into R movies after a certain hour :) Tickets: Movies starting before 6:00 P.M. are $3.00. Movies starting 6:00 P.M. and later are $5.00. I want to give this place a better review, and I will if service improves the next time I'm there. But when I went a couple of days ago, the girl at the window said that she couldn't sell tickets for some reason. Wth?! Her arms weren't broken, she could speak and therefore communicate properly. SO, patrons had to wait for some other girl to come and sell tickets. Well, I waited for five minutes, then got disgusted and left. I went back later to complain and the ticket sales girl got snippy with me. That's not cool, because you don't know what kind of attitude I might have in response to your incredibly crappy attitude and behavior. As someone who grew up in this town, and who still has ties to it, I hold customer service in very high regard. I've found it lacking in this town lately. I do want to say that I like this theater, I grew up coming here. I remember as a little girl when there were two separate theaters in this small town. And I remember when they combined them into one larger theater. Other than craptastic customer service, this is a good place to come for a cheap movie. The facilities are decent, but fairly no-frills, and concessions are fairly priced. Just be warned--don't expect people to be very helpful. read more

While reviews are mixed we found this the only movie there in Huntsville had stadium seating and was clean. In fact we witnessed at the end of each movie a crew of employees came in to clean up. We took shelter in the complex as it was a wet and rainy day. The cheap prices made it comfortable and enjoyable therefore we rate 4 stars and would consider returning if we happen to be again in the area. read more

For the price of 5 dollars, it's pretty decent; however this is one of the worst theaters I have been to. Pros: - Good cost for tickets - Good food prices - Seats were comfy - Movable Arm Rest - Good Wide screen Cons: - There's no PSA for cellphone silence, or no talking. Even no PSA for filming the film. - Pretty bad surround sound. Not enough bass, some parts I cannot hear what's going on. - Very dirty bathroom. - It was warm in the theater. - Obnoxious audience. (This isn't the theater's fault) but they should keep an eye on the audience during movies. - The layout of the theaters are weird. - Small theater room. All in all. You get what you paid for. Probably be the last time I go to this theater. Rather drive 20 mile or more to have a better experience than that. read more

The movie tickets are the cheapest I've found in Texas, at $3 before 6pm, making this ideal for college students and large families. I've been here several times now and I've always been greeted with great service. Buying drinks/food is never an issue. Once in a great while there's that one person that acts like they're not getting paid for working there, but that's the individual's problem. The only thing i'd down grade this theater for is the building is always kind of dirty and they charge you full price for refills of drinks or popcorn. Probably the worst movie theater that I've ever been to. That being said...the movie is only $5 so you get what you pay for. The low cost is both a blessing and a curse. While it is easy on the wallet, it attracts too many people which will always include the loud and inconsiderate. While the picture was good definition/resolution, the sound was awful. No (and I mean No) surround sound. All sound was coming from the screen. The theater layout is weird, and the restrooms were filthy. Parking is limited, and like the theaters, weirdly formatted, making both parking and pulling out a challenge. I frequented this theater a lot back in the 80s as a teenager, but hadn't been since until last night. It doesn't appear as if they've done any improvements to the place since then, other than forcing a few more theatre rooms into a building that's too small to adequately support them. Next time I'll drive the extra miles to attend a better theatre, spend the extra dollars to get the better experience. Avoid this cinema if you can. read more

It's a good theater for a small town. And they have made improvements over the past year. Although they recently made a policy change that is irritating. Apparently if you want to refill your doing you have to buy another drink instead of just paying for a refill. They claim health code but most other theaters now days have self serve drink stations where you can refill all you want. Other than that huntsville is still a bargain for movies read more

Very small, older, family run movie theatre but everyone who works there is very friendly. They make up for the size and age of the building/facilities/screens with super cheap ticket and concession prices. And they get almost all the new movies that come out! Just keep in mind they are a cash-only establishment so be sure to bring cash. They do have an ATM if you forget though. read more
