Finding the location can be tricky as they don't really have a visible sign that displays Escape Room Ensenada. If you can find the "Projection Salas" sign, it's at the same location on the 2nd floor (this is also a movie cineplex). When it comes to the Spanish language, we are both not that confident but wanted to tackle the escape room anyways. We were able to manage and communicate with our game master with a translator app. They have wifi available to help speed up your search. We were pleasantly surprised with the room decor as it complemented the storyline quite well. Although there was a language barrier, the puzzle designs were interesting and made sense when figuring them out. There was a fair amount of technology incorporated into the room and some of the puzzle challenges. Since our game master didn't speak English, we received our hints on a large projector screen in which the English translations were displayed. Overall, we enjoyed escaping from the room utilizing our common sense and gameplay experience. It's a pretty cool concept and a nice change from a traditional movie theater. One thing that surprised me was that it was actually a little more covered than I expected. Based on the name, I thought it would be more open air and exposed to the elements, but the setup was cozier and more sheltered than I anticipated. They have a selection of snacks and beverages available, which was nice, although I do wish they were able to sell alcohol. A beer or glass of wine would have been a great addition to the experience. Overall, it was a unique and enjoyable night out. The atmosphere was great, the movie selection was fun, and I'd definitely go back for another showing.

It was my first time seeing a movie with the side walls being used to project and extend the image, and it was really cool and immersive, although expensive at $27 a ticket. The second night, we saw Obsession in a regular theater, and it was also good with the same quality reclining chairs as the first time but regular priced ticket at $17. We bought candy and a Slurpee at the concession stand, and it was quick and easy with no line.

It's located on the inside of a mall, but there's not even a sign that specifies that AMC is there. Just know that once you've passed by Trader Joe's and start walking to Ralph's, you've gone too far. As for parking, I think on the lower level, which is also hard to pinpoint from the main road (depending on where you're driving from, I've been told there's a parking garage). For me, I just ended up parking near the Trader Joes's/PetSmart side, which offered plentiful and more manageable parking. Aside from that, I totally understand what everyone means by the odd parking situation now lol. Once I found the theatre, it wasn't a bad experience. Staff was friendly, bathrooms, for the most part were clean. The inside felt a little outdated, but the reclining seats were comfortable! Keep in mind that they WILL make some loud squeaky noises if you're trying to adjust the positions mid-movie. I'm not sure if I'll be back to this AMC specifically, but I can't say I had a completely terrible experience either.
