    March 28, 2026 | Saturday | Inside | We Saw Peaky Blinders!

March 28, 2026 | Beach Cities El Segundo | While an event nearby was delayed for two hours, my friend suggested seeing a movie! Cheers to quick thinking! Score! It was a simple drive across the street! What a beautiful Movie Theater, as it was my first time hearing of CinemaWest! Reclining Seats | Super cozy, plush, reclining seats with an attached table and cupholder on the opposite side! Perfect! I loved the lighting inside of the theater as well, including the coral carpet! Inside | Spacious, neat, clean, as well as colorful and so many pretty flowers everywhere, even flowers lined up on the countertop in the restroom! I'm not sure if they were real, but they were bright, cheerful, and gorgeous! An Icon | Pink's Hotdogs was actually inside of the theater! What a surprise, didn't expect to see it! How fun! Note | The restrooms are out in the lobby, not down the hall by the theaters! Thanks to excellent customer service for pointing me in the right direction! Movie | Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man! Fun & action-packed! Well-dressed women in form-fitting attire & men in dapper suits, both complete with hats & coats! There are incredibly cool vintage cars, slow-mo cinematography & including rock concert style heavy metal music...and there is a scene w/a woman holding an umbrella in the rain...breathtaking! Memorable accents that command attention throughout the film, details of the movie are impeccable, even the lighting is a whole mood! Explosive scenes that had me focused, not one detail to be missed! The movie was a win! Parking | Free, inside of the parking structure! Overall | What a wonderful way to enjoy the delay of the event nearby! While my friend had been to the theater many times, it was my first time, and I truly enjoyed it! I would easily go back to CinemaWest Beach Cities Theater! Let's go!

I did not watch Sinners because I hate being scared, in fact, I hate it. I avoid jump-scare attractions, like haunted mazes in Spooky season and I recoil when I see a trailer for an upcoming movie that shows the work of the devil and all his minions at play. Case in point, I have never seen a movie from the Anebelle universe and the decision is curated intention for exclusion. I explain my distaste for horror genre to frame why I did not see Sinners sooner, I really thought it was going too be to scary for my limits. But the Oscar buzz and reviews around the flick convinced me to go and weather the fright. In the end, I found the movie to be more suspenseful and theatrically dark, than a jump-scare fest. And honestly, seeing the movie in CinemaWest Beach Cities in its 4DX made the movie memorable not only for content but for envirionment. As many other Yelper's share, this place is one that swaddles visitors in luxury. I took a picture, yes it is blurry, of the chandelier above the entrance. And although it did not read fancy past, it did read modern effort for luxury glow. The whole place feels more like a boutique theather, not because it shows niche films, but because it is equivalent to a small shop where the affluent go because they know where truly, the x that marks the spot lies to meet their comfort needs. There was no ticket attendant, one selects and buys there tickets and refreshments (yes, even refreshments) on the screen. A moviegoer has the option of ordering at the counter, like in the past. I went, and I found out that they had pizza, and pretzels and hamburgers- that one can get protein style- for sale. IThe selection was unique, I can't remember exactly what I saw that made me feel like that but they had pink hot dogs and dots ice creams as options, so those are broad pinpoints I just cant remember the smaller details that were also unique for a movie place. I would not expect truffles from belgium as an option, but maybe more like gourmet nuts, which are not an option at AMC. I have seen a few movies in 4DX- Kong, and the Red Hulk movie. This place gave me the best experience. When the movie characters dance my seat made me feel like I was swaying with them in the party. It was a brief sensation but the intent was palpable not corny. The jump scares and how they matched to the movie exaggerated my feelings of fear to a fun state. But the scares in Sinners, at least to me, never crossed to a chill zone where my skins crawls in an uncomfortable way. This place is about 30 minutes from my home, but, I honestly will make it my movie place because the experience was transportive. Like in the past went to the movies to escape their problems at least for the length of the movie. And yesterday this place help me do that, focus on the movie because one could not escape the feeling of being in the movie. This is you had to be there moment, but in a high point of action in the movie, a fellow guest, walks down the stairs next to me, and I honestly thought it was shadow projection from the 4DX experience. That legit is a point for the atmoshphere of this place, plus there were like only 5 of us in the screening room. Then later at the climax, I look back and the same patron is standing up, thought the same thing! She was up cause she was not feeling the movement in a positve way. Hehe. But yeah, I give this place high praise!

CinemaWest is one of high-end movie theater chains and this El Segundo location is the only CinemaWest in LA County. This location used to be Arclight but was changed to CinemaWest in Feb 2025. The theater offers 4DX, ScreenX, and Dolby Atmos formats. [Parking]: Direction to the designated parking lot was a bit confusing. The lot entrance is via the intersection of S Nash St & Park Pl. Additional parking lot is located across from the theater (870 S Nash St.) [Ticket]: Our party purchased tickets via the self-serve kiosk, but there wasn't a staff checking our tickets so we just held onto our tickets. Our party paid a standard $16.50 for a 7 PM showtime on a typical weekday. [Concessions]: This is one of theaters with better food and drink option including (1) a Pink's Hot Dogs restaurant, (2) beer on tap, (3) wine, and (4) cocktails like Jack & Coke Icee. [Seats]: Leather seats with a large leg room and a swivel table. [Conclusion]: Clean theater and a good alcoholic selection - our party had a good movie experience here.

My family's favorite theatre to experience amazing films!! There are so many types of theatres/screens to choose from, great snacks & drinks, and probably most of all the staff keep it fun, easy going yet professional. STEVEN particularly, is always the most kind, knowledgeable & resourceful person there. If there ever has been a moment where support is needed, he is always the one to come help resolve any hiccup. We also love that the theatres are kept at a good temp & we are never uncomfortably freezing like other theatres. Thanks so much!!

I certainly didn't eat any prior to this photo. Eight. Just 8 pretzel bites. Glad I tried, but I don't recommend them. $9.25

I had no idea CinemaWest took over the old Arclight that I would sometimes go to. When I started looking for an AMC replacement, this seemed to be the ideal place to visit. Parking: still free with plenty of spots outside and inside the garage. This is an automatic plus! It's a short walk from the outside lot to the doors (you'll see Pink's first) then the theater doors are right past the patio. Paid for my ticket with the guy at the counter, but they won't take cash even thought I had the even amount. Somewhat frustrating, but not the end of the world. As for food, I went with a kids pack which had a small soda (they pour so no free refills), popcorn, and Welch's fruit snacks. This was just okay. Pretzel bites are my usual go-to, but I would have to say skip them. They give you eight of them and cheese is additional at $2.25. I will admit I did end up coming back for these, and again, I wouldn't get them on any future visit. I'd actually skip the food here to be honest although if you eat hot dogs, maybe the Pinks is worth it. Theater was fine, sound was fine. I just appreciated the fact the movie was $5 on a Tuesday ($6 if you are not part of their program) so this in itself is worth it if you're in the area. This is also the closest one to me so it's a no-brainer. I still enjoy Alamo DH but I don't always want to head into DTLA, so this is an alternative. I did forget to scan my rewards code at concessions, and was told I could attempt to reach out to their customer service via email. There is no contact button whatsoever on the specific site for Beach Cities, but if you go to the general site, there is a generic email. It's been over a week and I have yet to hear back from them. 3-stars overall for the location, parking, theater, food but lack of customer service (on replying).

This is my first time visiting the theater since it was called Arclight and changed the name. I was very impressed and so glad its still here. First we came in on New Year's Eve to watch the series finale of Stranger Things and it was amazing. The bar and everything is upscale, nice and clean. The food was really good and the staff were great. The seats, picture and sound was great! We had a great time and will definitely come back again.

The Baseline: For a movie theater the seats must be comfortable/clean, the condition of the theater must be up-kept/maitained, the concessions must have good movie offerings, and the extra-film-types (3D,4D, IMAX,etc.) must work when available. Theater: CinemaWest Beach Cities is a relatively new theater that has reopened the old Arclight theater that closed pre-pandemic. CinemaWest has done a great job revamping the space. The lobby is clean and open, the seats are comfortable recliners, and the screen projector quality is clear, and the sound is really crisp. Bathrooms were clean. Food: The concessions are still great with a good selection of snacks, popcorn, and sodas along with the incorporation of Pink's Hotdogs for hotdog and burger offerings. Service: The staff at the theater were friendly and efficient.

I have seen a few movies here and I really like it . Yesterday I saw zootopia 2 and I give the staff props for keeping the floor clean and most importantly dry for safety. I think this is my favorite local theater.

First time at CinemaWest Beach Cities on 12/30/25 and we had an awesome time! Celebrating my hubby's birthday, he really wanted to watch Avatar and what's the best way to watch an awesome movie than 4D Max! The seats move, there were water splashing, air blowing and so super interactive! We had so much fun! There is also Pink's inside which is cool. We ordered chili cheese dogs, hot dog with bacon, fries, onion rings, and chili cheese fries. Everything tasted great and the service we received was also great. The place was clean and modern. The bathroom was clean and smelled good. Kudos to the staff who keeps the place clean. Popcorn was fresh and tasty. It's not a cheap theater but for special occasion, this is a nice treat. Highly recommend! They are located in Manhattan Beach, free parking and nice area.

Glad to see that a new theatre is located in this space, totally remodeled, super comfortable and reclining seats. Friendly staff, reasonable ticket prices, rewards program. $5.00 Tuesdays. Plenty of parking, away from the malls. Great choice if you want to spend some time watching a movie on the big screen

This is a nice upgrade to Arclight. We went to see Sinners. It looked like they were still finishing up, as there were seats in the hallway leading to the movie theaters. Having a Pink's is a nice touch but it's pricey. I had the fries and loved them. Mostly everything is via technology but there are plenty of staff members available. We loved the seating and enjoyed the movie.

First time here on Saturday and I will definitely be back! This theater is clean, open and airy and the parking is easy in the attached lot. The staff are also so friendly and helpful. Also love that they have a bar/lounge area that serves food. I just ordered some fries, wine and also popcorn from concessions. My husband got a burger which he enjoyed. They also have the comfiest recliners and trays attached to each seat for your food and drinks. So happy we found this place...really reminds me of Arclight.

Ask the Community - CinemaWest Beach Cities

Do all the theaters have the nice reclining seats or just the large screen?

Can you eat at pinks with out going to the movies?

Yes, we have a full dining area to enjoy Pinks without seeing a movie, as well as options on Door Dash, Grub Hub, etc. to order to your home.

Do they accept amc or pacific theater passes?

I honestly don't know but I'm led to believe that they won't accept those type of passes. I'd call them to find out.

What's the latest time to buy food and snacks?

the kitchen/bar (Pink's) closes at 10pm, the concessions close at 10:30pm

How long does it take before a movie starts after the listed showtime?

It was about 10 minutes for us the last time we were there. I'm sure it changes to try to get people in there early enough to sit through the ads and previews.

How is the parking situation? I remember when it was a Movie Theatre before, there was charged parking in the structure opposite of it.

There is plenty of FREE parking behind the theater and in the parking garage attached to that area. However, the parking garages across the street do charge. Since those garages are not associated with the theater there is no validation.

My son has been wanting to see Devil Wears Prada 2 and the first one is one of his favorite movies of all time. Personally, I don't like that movie but I went along with him. Tickets are $25 each and they have a $4 parking garage, but we were lucky enough to get a free after-hour meter on the street. It's a nice place and it seems like comfort is their top priority. The recliner chairs are extremely comfy and come with a blanket in case you get cold. You know how movie theaters are always chilly. Once you get settled, you can press a button that sends an employee over to take your order. It's completely optional. We got one small popcorn (light butter, $6) which was big enough for both of us. I like this idea of having the option of ordering and dining at your seat while watching a movie, but the reality is a bit different. It's kind of annoying to see the employees coming and going when someone needs a refill or places a new order during the movie. You can hear them talking and they can even block your view. It's frustrating when you are trying to focus. With that being said, I think it has more pros than cons. There are bars and bathrooms located across the several floors and the one we went to was exceptionally clean. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back to this theatre. While I understand policies exist, I was surprised that no reasonable accommodation or alternative seating was offered for a disabled patron who was simply waiting for family. What upset me most was not just the lack of accessibility-minded accommodations, but the dismissive attitude I encountered from several employees and the difficulty I had even obtaining the manager's name. For a theater that emphasizes comfort and premium service, I expected far more compassion, professionalism, and awareness regarding accessibility needs.

My main complaint (and not just mine, the person I was with said the same thing) is the headrest design. It's not comfortable and gave me neck pain and a headache. The headrest sits too high and pushes your shoulders back, leaving no support under your neck, so you kind of have to put something behind your neck to make it comfortable. Driving all the way up here from Long Beach to watch just any movie is not an option. When we found out about Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, though, a 4.5 hour extravaganza where they showed the two entire movies back to back, we were in! We had a bit of time to kill (haha) before the movie so we went to the bar to hang out, relax, and take in the atmo (fun decor and merch, vintage arcade games). The bartender was nice and efficient. Once the show was ready to start we headed up that long escalator to the floor with the theaters. It had been so long I'd forgotten all about the wacky, schlocky, awesome sci-fi and horror vintage foreign movie posters that lined the hallway. Almost worth the price of admission alone. Another thing we love about Alamo are the collection of shorts they play before a movie that's related to the upcoming feature. In this case it was the 70s Kung Fu movies that inspired much of the Kill Bill movies and they were so much fun! I hadn't seen a lot of this footage since I was a kid (and the Chemical Brothers video for "Get Yourself High"--look it up, you're gonna love it) so it was quite a treat. I hadn't seen the movies in a long time too so there were a lot of details I'd forgotten about, making for a delightful re-watch. The 4.5 hours flew by, and we left with smiles on our faces.

They have had good selections in what to play, but the recent updates to their food ordering is counterintuitive to the original spirit of what Drafthouse was known for. This isn't against the staff, they've always been helpful and courteous as long as you followed their rules. Private equity ruins all good things, which is a shame because Drafthouse was one of the first theater chains to reinvigorate the community to come out to the movies.

But what really sets them apart is their seat service (full kitchen, full bar) and the quality of their food. From Cinopolis to all the rest, I've been to them all and sometimes you have to wait too long after pressing the button, Sometimes you actually have to get up and look for somebody, most of the times the food is trash, but it's OK cause you're not there for fine-dining cuisine. But this place really delivers with its food. The kitchen really does a great job. Everything is above par for cinema food and I really mean above par. The service is always on point. really recommend this place. Great place to watch a flick. Also -- to edit my review after looking at recent ones -- someone is mad because there's no nutritional or calorie information at a theater menu?! Lol -- get a life. How bored are you at life when you demand nutritional information from a movie cinema menu oh my God, you fat degenerate. Here's a nutritional advice for you. Put the fork down. Every single employee made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Unfortunately, the theater we were in needs a MAJOR renovation. The seating felt like millions of people had plopped down before us, and the sound was on par with a second-run theater from the early 00s. The food and drink pricing is what you would expect - higher than a local sports bar, but not egregious like an arena or stadium. No knocks because it wasn't surprising. I'll go back if I hear that the facility is improved.

Felt like a VIP movie night (with one tiny wrap flaw!)…read more Let me start with a quick parking tip because it's definitely in the fine print: there's "One Garage" literally right next door that offers complimentary 3-hour parking once you get validation from iPic, the only garage to get validated! Sounds amazing... until you show up and it's already full... which was what happened. Our movie started at 6:00 PM, we arrived around 5:20 PM, and the garage was completely closed off -- they weren't letting anyone else in. Luckily, we found parking about 3 minutes away and paid around $5, which honestly wasn't too bad. We came here for the second part of our Valentine's date night and watched Wuthering Heights because hello... Margot Robbie is my favorite girl. I haven't been here in over 15 years and WOW -- I forgot how absolutely beautiful this theater is inside. The lobby is spacious, classy, and honestly feels kind of luxurious. There are pool tables, a full bar area downstairs, and spaces where you can hang out with drinks and good company before your movie. We headed straight into our theater and ordered food from our seats (also... water is complimentary, love that). We were seated in our own little pod -- super intimate with two seats, cozy setup, and yes... a blanket. It truly felt like rich people movie night. Shoutout to our server Jake, who was outstanding from start to finish. Great service, super attentive, and made the experience even better. Food-wise: The Boss Burger ($20.5) was a solid 8.5/10 -- hubby really enjoyed it. Although, there were no pickles or tomatoes in there even though it was in their menu. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap ($17), and I'll be honest... it was the only downside of the night. It was a bit cold and tough, and the tortilla-to-filling ratio was a little off for me. I'd give it a 6/10. If the tortilla was a bit warmer I'd think it'll be able to hold onto the filling a bit better, but that was meh, for me. BUT the fries? Piping hot, crispy, and delicious. And Jake even brought us ranch, BBQ sauce, and extra ketchup without us having to ask twice. Overall, this was my husband's first time here, and it definitely won't be our last. We had such a great experience -- the ambience, service, and overall vibe were top-tier. Can't wait for our next cozy movie night here!

That said, on my most recent visit, I noticed the theater didn't feel as clean as it has in the past. The elevator carpet in particular could use a deep cleaning and had an unpleasant smell. Hoping this is just a temporary slip, because I've always enjoyed coming here and would love to see it back at its usual standard.

(Author Andy Weir also wrote The Martian and Artemis, both of which I enjoyed.) There were a few theater options in the Carlsbad/Oceanside area, and Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas Paseo Real stood out for its fully reclining seats and in-theater dining. Reviews were decent, so we gave it a shot. Our party of four reserved seats for a weekday afternoon showing. If you can swing that timing, it's worth it. Tickets are cheaper and the theater is noticeably quieter. The seating was very comfortable, exactly what you'd hope for in a "luxury" theater. The venue itself felt a bit tired in spots, but still perfectly respectable. As for the movie, I enjoyed it. Ryan Gosling delivered a strong performance. Like most adaptations, it didn't quite live up to the book, but it was still very entertaining. Bottom line: Comfortable seating, a relaxed atmosphere, and a solid viewing experience. I'd be happy to come back.

I get my tickets via an application and then when I arrive I show it to the person in the box office/info area inside. They'll kindly tell you what auditorium it's in and where it's located. Easy peasy. I was slightly disappointed that I couldn't just order my popcorn in the concession area but rather had to use the order in your seat feature. On my last visit the previews weren't too long of a performance before the movie started just 13 minutes post the ticketed time. Even though I only wanted popcorn I curiously explored my options on the menu located on the rotating arm tables. Just push the glowing circle button for your attendant to take your order. I missed the very beginning of the movie because ordering in my seat slightly distracted me. I didn't even realize it wasn't another preview to another movie but rather the actual movie I came for. So for me it's a toss up between liking this feature and disliking it. The staffers were kind and had enjoyed my friends and my banter about it. We all had a good chuckle. Going on a Monday evening is nice since it's not as busy but also know that it's half the cost on a Tuesday evening. FYI. *It's also hit or miss on cleanliness but overall it seems better here than other venues by the same name. Also note: make sure you're heading to the right La Costa theater because there are two ~~ just in different centers. We didn't make a mistake this time so that was a "Whew!"

Here's what did and did not go well. Movie was great and what we expected. One of the recliners was not working properly, but enough to get by. Asked the server if they had old school chips, jalapeños and yellow cheese nachos. Wrong! it was white dip with stale cold chips, and no jalapeños. Ordered their "new" pizza sticks. Was told they were running short on Mariana sauce so they gave me ranch. Not exactly what I wanted or needed. BTW they are just mozzarella sticks with pepperoni inside. I ate both of sticks but wasn't aware it was only two sticks. Not worth the money. Bathroom: ladies have 3 stalls - one had a floor sign stating out of order, one had a broken seat, and the only one working someone got sick all over it. They never cleaned the bathroom for the two + hour duration we were there. Terrible service standards especially with sanitation. I thought places are supposed to check them at least every 30mins. Not going back anytime soon, too bad
