Private hair salon is the best option for our current time and the small space is relaxing and very clean and comfortable. The big window brightens up the quaint room. Cindy did a great job on my haircut, I'm so pleased with the layers And made my hair look thicker. Also I was really pleased with my new hair color that Cindy picked out . I definitely will come back and will recommend her to my friends . Thank you Cindy for being available at short notice. read more

Cindy was great! Private hair salon with just you and her, small space but there is a window that you can see outside so it doesn't feel too cramped. She was very personable, really wanted to get to know you. The haircut was $55 and came with wash, cut, and style. My haircut was simple, cut off a couple inches and then layers. I love the way she does layers because it's the pair of scissors where you can add layers to your hair if you feel there are spots missing. She caters to her clients and will make sure your haircut is to your liking. I've always gone to salons and had a stylist who was just available each time. No one really got to know me and she made me feel really welcome. And it's just you and her, it was nice to actually just talk. read more

Cindy's Beauty Salon - Hair cut at Cindy's - Hair Salons Near Me - Encinitas, California

I purchased a Groupon for a haircut and was able to make an appointment for the next day! I was pleasantly surprised when I met Cindy. She has a small, private booth in a large salon. She was welcoming, friendly and made me feel very comfortable. She gave me a nice haircut taking her time and making sure to follow my directions. I really enjoyed it and recommend her for a simple haircut :) read more

I cannot recommend Cindy as a hairdresser. If I could give zero stars I would. I have been searching for hairstylist ever since my beloved hairdresser of 15 years moved out of state. I went to Cindy after reading her reviews and also chose her because her prices were cheap. Let me tell you, cheaper is not necessarily better. I received the worst haircut I have ever had from Cindy. When I tried to style it after my first wash since my cut I discovered that the haircut was uneven, one side was longer than the other. I tried styling it the way I have styled my hair for years and the result was one side that flipped out and one side that curled in. Needless to say it looked horrible. Today I went in for a consultation with Cindy to learn how to style my hair. She never confirmed my appointment after I texted twice to confirm. She was then running 15 minutes late and didn't let me know. She was rude to me from the very beginning and didn't even acknowledge me when I walked in. She then told me it's not her fault if I can't style my hair. I've been styling my hair with no problems until Cindy touched my hair. She was so rude to me that I ended up getting up and walking out. I will never be back and I recommend that you don't go to her for your hair. I don't know what kind of training she did (she doesn't actually list any training), but it's obvious that she didn't learn how to work with different types of hair-mine is fine and wavy. All I can do is let it grow out and search for another stylist. read more

Visiting Cindy's Hair Salon for the first time, I had an incredible and comfortable experience with Cindy who has an immense amount of haircutting and styling skills and is just really nice. She was honest about giving me advice on a cut, and worked on par when I wanted specific areas fixed up. I felt like she really knew my hair, and I haven't found someone like that for years ... until now. I actually discovered Cindy's Hair Salon through Groupon, but I would come back again and pay full price. read more

Cindy's Beauty Salon - My partner and I just got our hair done by Cindy! - Hair Salons Near Me - Encinitas, California

Went to Cindy for the first time and I was very pleased! She did a fantastic job cutting my long thick, curly hair. Even though she just trimmed it about an inch, it feels so much lighter! Cindy is very personable and friendly and I loved her shop, so peaceful and tranquil. It was like having a spa treatment!Thank you Cindy, see you again read more

I normally get my haircuts at Great Clips by our house because my style is very simple. Short back and sides, #2 razor. Quick, 10 minutes tops. It's far from where we live (took 30 min. to get here), but our plan was to make an afternoon out of it and have lunch in the area afterwards, since my wife, Jen G. got a Groupon deal. It's $16 on Groupon but she said she paid $11. Cindy is personable and extremely gracious. She washed my hair (which Great Clips doesn't do, unless you pay extra) and I got a scalp massage which was nice. She also trimmed my eyebrows. She speaks english well and followed instructions and I got in next day appointment. I'm very happy with my haircut. Her men's haircut prices are $30, but she offered to give me $5 off any future haircuts. Too bad she's far away. I told her we would both Yelp review her even though I couldn't become a regular customer. Her salon is inside Phenix Salons by Kohl's in the Encinitas Marketplace. Easy to miss if you've never been there before. Plenty of free parking. Thanks for a great haircut, Cindy. Now I'll look presentable for the Yelp elite event on Friday. No more bed head. Ha ha. read more

Friendly. Quality. Stylish. At least three of the reasons for giving up my last stylist of 15 years to see Cindy for the last 6 years. She always leaves me looking better than when I first arrive in her quaint boutique shop. I also like her calm demeanor and the Zen-like experience. This includes a hot towel treatment and ambience music while getting your hair washed in the most relaxing way. Cindy always give me a true salon experience without the high price of most Encinitas luxury salons. Thanks Cindy! read more

Friendly. Fabulous. Fantastic! I took a chance on Cindy 6 years ago and I never looked back. She always gives me a great style in a very tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. I am not a friend or family, but rather got a random flyer in my mail for Cindy's Beauty Salon. I decided to check her out. My experience with her from start to finish was wonderful. I even had to reschedule and she was very accommodating. Cindy's space was small, but cute, clean and cozy (felt like I really got to connect with her and she understood what I was looking for with my hair). I got a wash, cut and style and purchased product for my hair that I have been using for a few weeks and loving it! I will definitely be back for my next hair care and highly recommend her salon! read more

I've been going to Cindy for a year now, and am blown away by her ability and her professional attitude. She is a great listener (maybe even a mind reader!) when I tell her how I want my hair cut. I've been looking for a stylist who could get both my color and the cut right and I think I've found her! My hair is fine so the cut is so important. Cindy did a great job. I can tell already that it's going to stay looking nice when it grows out. It's easy to style too which I appreciate more than ever because my last haircut was a struggle. I go to nice salons so it's not like I went to a chain salon either. Cindy goes the extra mile and is so easy to talk to. I am definitely going back! read more

Cindy is very creative and does a beautiful job with color and cut. I highly recommend her to anyone.

I showed Cindy what I did not like about my old hair cut. I asked her make my hair even and balanced, and not to touch my bangs because it needs to grow out. SHE assured me that she would fix my hair. I don't know if it is the language barrier or what, but she did the opposite of what I asked her to. Now my haircut is worse than when I came in, especially my bangs. I honestly do not know how she got her two five stars. They must be friends or relatives. Thanks. read more
