They can also order books you are looking for. Loved finding a special signed copy of a book sold only in indie stores! The employee was helpful and conversational while we checked out. Also, who doesn't love a free bookmark with purchase!?

Somewhere I can come to find something obscure, or some of my favorite foreign authors translated into English. Small eclectic selection of books that are priced in a way to encourage the growth of your personal library. Maybe the staff just aren't morning people?

In addition to books, they also have journals and journaling accessories, puzzles, kitchen supplies, hats, stickers, earrings, reading glasses, candles, and "blind date with a book" options, along with T-shirts and greeting cards. The store is two stories and is very cozy. They also have a great kids' section. The staff are really friendly and open to giving recommendations or just chatting. They also host monthly events which are posted in the store as well as on their Instagram, if you're looking to get more involved in the local community!

However, what I loved most is that you got the sense that the staff LOVED their job. I overheard her talking to customers and recommending books in a way that you only seem to see now in movies. The store seems small but a lot…read moreis crammed in, including some really kitschy cool decor (many discreet 'not for sale' signs to be noted) as well as a lot of items featuring cats that resemble Winnie, the shop cat. There also is a second floor which may be dedicated to a children's area; not positive as I didn't go up there. I am always on the lookout for old books as in 70-plus years, but not a whole lot in that department here as far as sorted items. There was a big stack of aged books but not catalogued. Believe me, I would have gladly pulled up a stool and reviewed the entire stack but as is often the case, the impatient husband was waiting in the car so I couldn't prolong my visit. I did grab a great sci-fi classic by Isaac Asimov; the book is pretty beat up but one dollar! Also spotted a tote bag featuring cats and books so that went home with me for sure. There are places to sit if you want to chill and read for a while. The lady behind the counter indicated that I could contact them for any old books I am searching for. Happy that they have Sunday hours and looking forward to a future visit.

You feel as if you were in someone's cozy cottage browsing their private, lovingly organized collection. Added to the atmosphere is great music playing and interesting art. There is a small selection of records and a community notice board, as well. Definitely a great addition to the community.
