Contrary to some of the reviews, I did not think the fields are in great shape. There are holes and dirt mounds all over the place. I'm surprised I havent rolled my ankles at all yet ( probably just jinxed myself). It is conveniently close to where I live which is a big plus and I'll continue to play here. Could use a little more grass and a little less dirt / sand though.

The complex gets a lot of traffic, since it hosts a youth soccer league as well as the multiple adult soccer teams that play here as well. They do a pretty good job with field maintenance, rotating fields in and out of service based upon wear & tear; considering how much they are used, it's overall in fairly good shape. The bathrooms almost always need some help though, they're hit or miss as to whether or not they're working.

We celebrated my son's birthday at Tiki's Paintball, and it couldn't have gone better…read more The staff was super patient and great with the kids, making sure everyone understood the rules and stayed safe. The playing fields were well-designed and kept the kids excited the entire time. There is plenty of paved parking and picnic tables. Before choosing them, we toured a couple of other paintball places in the area, and Tiki's definitely stood out as the largest, most well-kept, and most kid-friendly option. They have five different fields, which was perfect for our birthday group of 10+. The pricing was very reasonable , each player was $35, which included complete gear mask paintball gun AirTank and 500 paintballs. Additional paintballs were available for $15 per bag or $48 per case (four bags). We also loved that our group had a private ref for the entire party. As beginners, having someone guide us and keep things fun and safe made a huge difference. I'm not going to sugarcoat it ...yes, getting hit by a paintball does sting! It's like a quick rubber band flick, but the feeling goes away fast, and the kids handled it just fine. Overall, the experience was well organized, safe, and so much fun. My son and his friends had an amazing time, and we would absolutely recommend Tiki's Paintball for any birthday party or group event. All the kids left talking about how much fun they had. We'll definitely be coming back!

The gym floor is two basketball courts two volley ball courts or four badminton courts. Our badminton club play two night a week. This building is actually our tax money to build it. The gym floor is spring board with wood flooring. They are very nice. Please check out the available classes that are ongoing now by calling the center or walk up to the main lobby for the available exercise class. Make good use of this new facilities.

Awesome playground and covered benches…read more I came here for a Mom's club playdate. It was a snack potluck and hang out. I snagged the last parking spot (as others have mentioned the parking lot is small, but you can park at the school if you can't find a spot.) I only walked through the actual rec building to get to the park. I was amazed by the outside area. The benches are covered and there are a ton of cubby holes where you can store your stuff. The playground is covered too! We're in Florida, shade matters! There is also a huge grassy area in case you want to throw a ball or just let your child run around and blow off steam. Whatever floats your boat. Once my child starts walking I'm sure we will be back many times.

This is definitely more of a community than a gym…read more I signed up for a membership at the JCC North and we get four free passes a month to go to this JCC. I really wish it was closer, because I looked at the schedule of exercise classes and wow there are a lot. They are at all hours and all different types. It's phenomenal. The day I went there was some sort of coffee happy hour happening with coffee and food. It really looks like they're trying to build a community here, which is great. The woman working the front desk was so friendly. They have locker rooms that have keypads on the locks, which made them really easy to use. The towels are great and they have blow dryers, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, the standard stuff. At 5:30 p.m. on a Monday it wasn't crowded at all. The gym is on the smaller side, it wraps around the indoor track/basketball court, but for the amount of people there it doesn't seem small at all. I walked on a treadmill and used the free weights. I passed by the cafe, which had a small but mighty looking menu. I would definitely stop by and grab a bite here. I've also attended a gala and a conference here before and I found them both well done. There's tons of parking, with a guard (only one entrance off of Howard).

Even though there are signs everywhere, asking members not to conduct private phone conversations on their mobile device. It is very frustrating that I pay for a membership when I cannot use the facilities due to rude people sitting on workout machines or benches while they surf the Internet on their phones or have phone conversations while not using the machines they are sitting on, preventing other members from being able to use the weightlifting machines. Additionally, the staff of the community center does nothing to prevent this from happening.

There are also standard swings with a wood chip grounding below. It is my understanding that you can rent the field out for your personal purposes. The times I have been in the early morning hours I have only seen people utilizing the field to play American football on Saturday mornings. We like to take our daughter here in the early mornings because of the no nonsense/no dirt base of the playground area. As wet mornings happen often I do not prefer to go to playgrounds which get muddy and dirty. We will continue to visit!

There's also a tiny playground with very limited equipment, some swings, a basketball court that's in pretty rough shape, and not much else. There are dog poop bags so I assume the area is dog friendly.. The park backs onto some of the newer condo / apartment developments and a lil residential area behind the strip malls and strip clubs lining Dale Mabry and the fancier sports of Boy Scout / Columbus. The parks department is here a LOT mowing the football field. But the grass around the field tends to be pretty high and weedy. It's a nice greenspace. Grasdy dirt road parking. There is a Baptist Church next to the park and a canal behind the church. Some wildflower and lily pad viewing possible. You can walk to AC Hotel, Miller Ale House, Texas De Brazil, Del Friscos, Renees Cafe, and Kona Grill from here via a grassy cut through on the north side of the park past the church. The arcade games only last 30 seconds each game for all of the arcades. That's not fun for a child who wants to continue playing therefore it requires a lot of money to be loaded onto the card plus the admission fee for children AND adults. The only toddler section was a small area that was not well designed to keep them entertained. We have been to many indoor places that fit all ages but this place was not suitable or fun at all. I found the restrooms extremely dirty and lots of toilet paper on the floor and in front of the entrance to the restrooms. There was no soap to wash my hands and I felt even more disgusted I love the jungle climbing area but the toddler section says no adults which doesn't make sense why I paid for myself and if I had a younger baby wanting to go in and I can't assist. The instructions aren't clear. Then for my older, we tried the other gym but once your in, it's a trek to get out and super hectic when there's so many kids running in there. It's much better when it's empty and calm so finally my little one had time to jump on the bounce house without an older kid body slamming the inflatables or doing backflips. I would say 2/5 it's very dirty and dinghy and the toys were very old Needs improvement or upgrades to be better than the other Tampa indoor play places for the same price

There's also a gorgeous view of the distant Tampa skyline overlooking the water. They have swinging benches where you can enjoy the view of the water and it's so serene. Unfortunately, there is usually a pier & boardwalk you can walk out upon as well. But (assumingly) due to Hurricane Helene & Milton it is still closed down and under construction.
