I believe it was over the office screwing up my meds and they did not want the doc to know so the just eliminated me instead of them taking the fall for it. Instead, they charge a monthly fee that comes to under $800 annually. For that, you receive essentially unlimited primary medical care. Dr. Wahl spends the time needed to answer questions and perform a thorough exam. Time with him can last up to an hour. He responds to email questions promptly and will even call you to explain things in person. He is additionally able to do video conferencing consultations. His medical knowledge extends to most areas of care - from internal medicine to dermatology, to holistic medicine that incorporates mind, body and spirit wellness. Recently, I had an ailment that caused my eyes to swell, and decided it was time to call in the professionals. I took an appointment with Dr. Bibler when my regular doctor was unavailable. Dr. Bibler appeared with his med student, asked minimal questions, then diagnosed me with seasonal allergies. Not the case, as this was a contact ailment. The med student even mentioned that I had no other symptoms related to season allergies (coughing, sneezing, watery eyes, etc.) No swabs were taken. He didn't come close to take a look at my eyes. In fact, he didn't even touch me at all. Instead, he prescribed me $160.00 eye drops ($30.00 cost after insurance) and told me to come back in five days if I wasn't better. Great. A few days later, my eyes swelled completely shut and I had to go to Urgent Care. This doctor (who did take a culture swab) diagnosed me with an infection and prescribed two antibiotics. I told him about my medication from Dr. Bibler, in which I learned Dr. Bibler prescribed me eye drops for seasonal allergies. Had he actually taken a culture swab, he would have learned my condition was more serious. As such, I could have been recuperating with the proper prescription rather than taking a trip to Urgent Care. I feel like instead of remedying the problem, Dr. Bibler gave me a prescription just to have me return for another appointment, and of course, another doctor's bill. It's the business of medicine, and he knows how to play the game.

The entire team is very personable and proactive in explaining what we should expect. Day of the procedure, we were promptly seen and processed so our son could get the relief he so badly needed. Not even a week later, I have my son back! He is eating better than he ever has, began teaching developmental milestones he was previously delayed with due to discomfort and just the happiest guy. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with health care. From the allergy testing, to…read morethe surgery I had, then to being billed for an error the billing department would not take action to resolve with the insurance company. When I went to get allergy testing, when the doctor ordered the tests, I told her that I was having allergic reactions and we discussed that it was possible the testing would fail because of that. Though there were no other patients waiting, two women came in and rushed through the testing. Turns out the testing failed, but they would not slow down. Then I was able to be squeezed in for a surgery. The nurse at the surgical center got too busy and I was taken back to have surgery before the pre surgery medicine kicked in. So I had to do the surgery fully awake and aware of what was going on. The doctor was so rushed that I just had to power through a nose procedure. I was crying, so I eventually was given a wash cloth to put over my eyes so I didn't have to watch the surgery. Then the same surgical center didn't call me, but someone else to check on me the next day. I specifically asked to have them call me when I was leaving, but they could not honor that simple request. When I went back for a check after the procedure, I think the doctor forgot I was waiting and I was in the appointment room after seeing the nurse for an hour before the doctor had time to come check on me. Finally, I assumed the billing would be a simple request to the insurance. The billing office sent the bill with an incorrect code. I asked them to submit an appeal with the correct coding, but the billing department incorrectly submitted the appeal. Rather than resubmitting the appeal with the insurance company (who said they would cover the procedure) the billing office started calling me and sending me communications that I was financially responsible for the procedure. I even got communication that my bill was late. Rather than working with the insurance company, the billing department kept sending me a copy of a form I submitted that IF the insurance was not willing to cover the procedure (which I was told multiple times the insurance company WOULD COVER THE PROCEDURE) than I would pay the bill. The insurance company was willing and able to pay, if they would have just filled out the paperwork correctly. This practice is not able to handle simple patient care to confirm if someone will be awake during surgery because they are busy filing paperwork. They are not able to handle insurance billing, and cannot handle simple requests.

At the time I thought that practice was odd but I didn't complain, expecting to return at a later date. After several cancellations due to personal conflicts and after researching alternative practices and processes, I decided to go in a different (and what I believe is a better direction) to address my health concerns. When I called to request a credit, I was put on hold, the call dropped, I called back and was transferred to another employee only to find out that there was a different understanding of the credit to be provided. After about an hour, I received a callback from Shane the Business Manager about my request. He indicated that I would only be receiving a $200 credit, not $300 as I expected. After much discussion, he indicated that the $200 credit was final and he would issue a check. I told him I did not agree with this decision and explained that I would be providing a review/ complaint about this business practice. I recommended that the staff should explain this business practice with patients before receiving care so this practice it is clearly understood.
