No appointment Saturday. I communicate in writing since clients can't remember past events so I documented what said. I will continue written communication." He's correct on meeting with my ex & I the week PRIOR but this was the next week & I know for a fact there were updates & I'm new to the judicial system, especially the juvenile side so I had questions about that too. He nearly sabotaged my son's 2nd hearing by bringing up an evaluation that could be used AGAINST my son! Since he prefers written communication, I fired him through email & text. When I didn't hear back from him, I emailed & texted asking if he could verify that he received my messages that I no longer needed his services he replied "Yes, now go away." When I hired him he said he is blunt. This is not blunt, this is just plain rude. I never write reviews but I don't want others to make the costly mistake I made.

I was taking to the other party's lawyer by myself and I got hit with 1300 in child support. Also I have assault and harassment against the father of my child, and the opposing lawyer tried to downplay that. It doesn't make sense after investing $2,000 as a retainer free - yet my lawyer has no idea about my serious situation. Also, the only reason why I even chose this law firm was because his assistant who is also his wife, said it's possible to have a modification of custody and child support at the same time because she's done it before. Turns out that was a tactic to win me as a client. Also, the only time she ever called me was to collect payments. She apologized and agreed the support was too high, but did nothing about it. This caused me to go into a huge depression and now that I'm better - they stated they can't help me because they closed my file. Her excuse was that she had a family matter that she was attending to right at that moment which was more important. (IT WASN'T and You know that BRANDY, because you told me what the reason was..) Attorney BRANDY HOWARD, if you CANNOT even dedicate your time to the job when you are on the clock working for the State of TEXAS, why are you working here BRANDY? YOU missed the appointment for 10:00 AM, NOT me!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL of Attorney Brandy Howard. Also: I CHOSE NOT TO TAKE your legal services and that was specified on the phone BUT YOU put on the paperwork I received a few weeks later to explain why my case was close 'that your office DID NOT have enough staff' WHICH IS complete BS and YOU know it.!!! (Attached TWO photos this). Although YOU said on the phone that I would have access to legal counsel that could help me with different civil cases or cases that needed to be addressed in District Court). THAT IS FALSE, INACCURATE information YOU provided on legal paperwork sent to me, I spoke to another office handling management of the legal services and they said YOU DIDN'T do the procedure right. I was supposed to be given a 'WITHDRAWAL' form which you FAILED to do. WHY are YOU working HERE???!!! Extremely UNPROFESSIONAL of Attorney BRANDY HOWARD and hope this doesn't ever happen to anyone else seeking counsel through THIS Legal Aid Office of Belton, TX. I HAVE filed a BODA report with the Chief Disciplinary Counsel on BRANDY HOWARD and rightfully so. AM I WRONG Counselor HOWARD?? NO. I WILL NEVER seek legal counsel again from any Lone Star Legal Aid Office in the State of Texas ever again because of how all this was handled. Extremely AWFUL experience and VERY concerning if this is what disabled people have for legal representation within Bell County.. VERY SAD and UNFORTUNATE.
